About this house rental



Since we began visiting Breckenridge, we have always wanted a true ski-in/ski-out home with a high level of privacy and amenities. Our purchase 20 years ago of this Cedars townhouse realized these goals. This unit is a more spacious end unit (a big plus) and has been renovated both inside and out. Inside we have new hardwood flooring, lots of new furniture, new TVs, and a well-equipped, modern kitchen. Also in the spring of 2014 we completely renovated all 3 bathrooms. In the summer of 2016, Cedars implemented a new wifi and cable tv system which gave us super fast internet access and improved tv service. Repeat guests will continue to notice numerous upgrades and a high level of attention paid to our townhouse as we are regular users of it as well.

The living room is warm and cozy but large enough for a large family to relax in and enjoy the gas fireplace and the new 55" surround-sound HD TV and sound system. All of the bedrooms are upstairs and are far removed from the active living areas downstairs. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen, and the 3rd bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed. All bedrooms have TVs. The living room also has a comfortable fold-out couch that can sleep two. The master bedroom has views from the room or outside deck that are spectacular. There is a two-car garage that also serves as a place to keep your skis or bicycles. Additional outside parking is available on a first come/first served basis. We provide a starter set of supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, etc and more coffee filters than will ever be needed.

Perhaps the best feature of this townhouse is the fact that in less than a minute after walking out the door you are putting your skis on and skiing down (about 50 yards) to the Quicksilver chairlift. (Cedars Townhomes are on the trail next to the Quicksilver lift.) This proximity truly makes skiing hassle-free and allows you to easily ski home for a relaxing lunch and avoid the high-priced and hectic mountain restaurants. The Quicksilver lift is also a base area with several restaurants, a lift ticket office and the ski school.

If mountain views are important to you then you should know that our townhouse, because of its location on the mountain has some of the best views of any Cedars unit. If spending time in town is something that you like to do, our home is a short (maybe four to five minute) walk to Main Street and the Village base area. Also, all Cedars guests have access to the Upper Village pool and hot tubs located just down the street. This facility has just been completely rebuilt and is amazing. A link to the Upper Village web site is below. (Let Mike the owner know if you're interested in using the Upper Village pool as a special key card is needed to get in.) And don't forget that your lift ticket may be good at Keystone (check out their night skiing), Vail, and Beaver Creek. For those of you who are not familiar with the Cedars Townhomes, they are regarded as having the best overall location on the mountain because they are both ski-in/ski-out and close to town. Cedars units are now valued at anywhere between $1,800,000 and over $3,000,000 depending on size and location.

For the summer renters, we have possibly the best outside space in all of Cedars as we have 3 decks.

Unlike other listings, you would be renting directly from the owners - not a property management company. This more than likely means lower rental rates!

Pictures don’t do the house justice. Was very nice. Well stocked. Accommodated our family well. Loved the fact was so close to the slope’s, especially with young kids

We had a wonderful stay at the Cedars Townhouse! The location cannot be beat and we found the townhouse to be much cozier than the photos portray. Most of the beds were reasonably comfortable, with the exception of the bed in the bunk room - that mattress was quite appalling. Also note that the description says this is a queen size - it’s actually a full size bed. You can tell it’s a full size from the photos, but I did want to note the inconsistency. We also did a lot of cooking here and felt the kitchen was fairly well stocked. We only wished for more containers to pack up our leftovers. All in all, we were here for a ski trip and the location and coziness of this townhouse far outweighed these few minor complaints. We would definitely come stay again!

Our family had an amazing time. The location is perfect. Next to the slopes and a short walk downtown. When I had a question, Mike responded within a few minutes. We’re planning on coming back next year.

Proximity to the Quicksilver chairlift is tough to beat! From walking out of this condo units garage to where you out your skis on is maybe 60 yards, then you have a slight downhill slide of maybe 100 yards and yiu are in line for the Quicksilver lift. Condo is a classic style ski lodge with 3 bedrooms, well kept up, large garage that a Tahoe fits in, but a Suburban would not fit. Condo owner is good communicator and prompt in replies. Beds comfortable and plenty of hot water for 4 ppl to take showers and still enjoy hot water! Nice ski rack area in garage for 6-8 skis and boards. Will definitely seek to rent again on future trips to Breck.
