House was clean and very comfortable. Check in/out process was very efficient and simple. Relaxing on the deck was our favorite part. We did have an issue with internet but host was very responsive and it was reconnected. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This was a great getaway for the holiday The elevation, the views, the friendly towmspeople, the house was all amazing. Very relaxing time, very clean spacious house, lovely hot tub and other amenities. We really enjoyed our stay there and can't wait to return!
The property manager was very friendly and we will be back again!

Wonderful secluded home. Close to the casino, and Maggie Valley area. Nice Jacuzzi, and deck for relaxing. We had a great time here on our getaway.

Beautiful cottage with Mountain View’s , hot tub was wonderful and relaxing, everything was clean and perfect for our family .

The cabin was nice and in a cool place. However, we were counting on internet because we were searching for property to buy. We stayed 10 days with no internet nor cel phone reception. A good place to get away from internet or cel phone. However if you plan to rent, you should contact the owner to see if internet is working before you rent.

My little family traveled from Chattanooga, TN all the way up the little mountain to Sawtooth! It was a cozy little home with everything we needed to unplug and relax for the weekend. The views were breathtaking (as was the gravel road to the home! lol). Once we got up the mountain, we didn’t want to go back down. We wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for having us!

This is a beautiful spot! Clean and homey.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the view and the hot tub! Our kids were already making plans for when we came back before we had even left!

The house is beautifully located in the mountains outside of Maggie Valley. It had all the amenities you need to be able to escape and enjoy some quiet time.
The internet does not work and there is little service, so it does help you feel "off the grid".
The team were wonderful at communicating with us and easy to get in touch with.
4.6
We enjoyed the property and the views. The internet was pretty much non-existent rather than "spotty" as described in the listing. We still enjoyed being able to disconnect and enjoy nature and each other. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home.

We love Maggie valley and this setting was spectacular. Tons of elk!

We just went to Maggie Valley to enjoy the fall colors and weather and it didn't disappoint. We were probably a week late for "peak fall" but the colors there were AMAZING. We went to Lake Lure 2 years ago at the same time and wasn't anything like this. We went back to look at our pictures and everything was still green. Even the locals said this year was far better than they have had in a while.
The trip was the wife and I along with 2 of our friends so the house was perfect for us. When we do trips like this it's all about views and having a hot tub. The road and driveway coming up to the house really isn't bad at all and I'm not too crazy about driving in those conditions. The worst part of it is actually paved so it's even easier. The house doesn't come with a lot of the odds and ends that most other houses have stocked so you need to bring everything except salt and pepper. The cell service is bad but you can get just enough if you stand on the porch closer to the grill area. We just left our phones out there. The fire pit area was really nice and wasn't bad getting to it. The location the house is at is great. We went to Soco Falls which was probably 10 minutes away and a short hike down. We went to Waterrock Knob which was probably 20 minutes away and on the Blue Ridge Parkway so a really nice drive. You can see Elk in the neighborhood. Joey's Pancakes is good but closes at like noon and about a hour wait. Of course we hit all the little shops and had creekside lunch at Smoky Falls Lodge. Amazing place.
Things I don't like. I don't like when these groups act like they are a 400 unit Hilton and have a 4 o clock check in. Why not just make check in at 7 that way we can just check in and go straight to bed. Up there in the Mountains it gets dark early. I also don't like how the house wasn't stocked with the small things like coffee filters or paper towel etc. Most people leave these kind of things and should last a long time there. We shop for everything before we arrive so then you wake up the next morning not able to make coffee because there aren't filters around because you can't think of everything after driving all day to get there. They need to do a little better telling you how to get into the house. It says in the confirmation email that they will tell you how to get in day of and they answered all of my other questions except what the door code was (and this is part of them not wanting you there until 4) until you get there.

Enjoyed the cabin in late October and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was as advertised and was very clean and organized. The communication and check in process was flawless. The area was beautiful with a combination of the beautiful mountains, hiking, fall color, quaint town and not far from Asheville if you wanted to visit. Plus, coming home to the cozy cabin and hot tub made it extra nice. The cabin is great for all 4 seasons but, winter would definitely require a 4WD vehicle. The only negative is the lack of internet service if you needed it. Cell coverage (calls) was fine though

Nailed the leaf change, and enjoyed watching them fall from the porch with our two pups!

We absolutely loved our stay and we only had a few problems. None of which changed our trip much, but could change yours. First was that this listing needs a way larger warning for what the private road/drive way. The listing says that you might need 4 wheel drive in the winter, but this mostly gravel road is quite rough even in dry perfect conditions. Not bad enough to need four wheel drive, but enough that there should be a warning. Not all vehicles are going to be able to make the journey and there's no where else to park your car. The listing also mentions you could bring up to a ten foot trailer and I whole heartedly disagree. We brought a 1997 F-150 XL (loaded with motorcycles) and that barely was able to maneuver in the section of the drive way next to the cabin. While a ten foot trailer might fit, you would have to unhook it and drag it around by hand to get that to happen, mostly due to what these pictures don't show you. Four car widths, a small four car widths, away is the next cabin sharing the end of this part of the drive way. So if the other cabin was empty for the whole stay then you might be able to get away with a trailer, maybe. The other issue was that the wifi does not work at all. Apparently the modem itself is in a different cabin so we were left with basically no troubleshooting options. We specifically did not need it and were not planning on using the internet at all, but if you are then you need to know that the current set up has its problems. As a small note the dump they have listed to take trash to isn't open? They were completely closed to the public and we ended up taking our trash home with us because we had space in the truck bed.
Other than these small issues which did not impact our trip very much we had a lovely time. Even with another cabin really close by due to the angles they are at we had complete privacy. The view was great and the hot tub is worth it! We would get back to the cabin cold and sore from being out riding our motorcycles all day and the hot tub really hit the spot, I think we got in it every night. The kitchen is wonderful. Just enough space to do some cooking from scratch, and well stocked with pots and pans. I made cinnamon rolls from scratch to reheat and eat every morning and if you've made them yourself you know that takes plenty of space. The whole cabin is cozy, with an amazing view of a near by mountain as the sun comes up.
All and all we plan to come back next fall.

We had a lovely stay at Sawtooth over a long weekend. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower. It was our first time to Maggie Valley, and I would recommend researching the area if you are not familiar with it. This cabin was a great location from which to explore the Catalochee Valley region of Great Smokey Mountains National Park. We had some great hikes and meals in both Waynesville and Asheville.
As described, the cabin is up a steep road and there isn’t much of a yard or a view with the tree cover.
4.6
The drive to the cabin was ridiculous…in no review did it talk about the turn or the path…expected to have a yard…well there is no yard…a tiny place to park and walk…we thought our dog would be able to run in a yard so we took the wireless fence but could not use it…the only place available close to the cabin was the nice deck…if you are looking for a treehouse experience then this is the place…there is NO landline and no cell service…very concerning…spotty does not describe the lack of service…we called the office and never got a return call…We Will NOT be renting this cabin again!

The house and view were really great. Everything was as described. Note: We use Verizon and could not make calls at all when in the house. And we couldn’t get the wifi to work.

It was great staying at this property. It has great views and easy access to parkway & Smoky. Paul was very helpful throughout our stay. We will go back there.

Great view. Very comfortable cabin. It was even better then we expected. We loved having our meals on the deck and checking out the surrounding area. It was great to come back and chill in the hot tub or just listening to the sound of the creek.

Amazing experience
Me, my girlfriend, friend and two dogs really enjoyed this property over the Memorial Day weekend. The house was beautiful and our favorite feature was the deck with an open view of the mountains - incredible views. The pictures of the house don't do justice. It looks bigger than pictures show! Would definitely recommend this property. Owners were very helpful and communicated well.

The house is in an absolutely stunning setting. Beautiful mountain views with the sound of a river rushing close by. You can see the river if you look for it. The back porch is so relaxing and equipped with rocking chairs, lounge chairs, a table and chairs, a grill and a nice size hot tub. The hot tub was great! Clean and ready to use after a about a day as it took about 24hrs to warm up. And also very private. The property has a couple cabins right next door but still felt very private. There is a fire pit just a short walk one level up to gather around and also there is a wood swing. So beautiful and fun! The roads to get to the property (just a short stretch) seemed a little scary at first but easy to navigate after a couple of tries. I got over my fear quickly. Unfortunately there was one incident where the roads iced over as I stayed in winter and I was not able to get my vehicle up the mountain. I parked and walked back to the cabin. It was scary to walk back in the ice and dark but i managed and recommend 4wd in the winter or just don't leave the place when the roads are iced. I do have to say for that view it was totally worth dealing with the roads. My only complaint would be the beds weren't very comfortable for me. They are a little firm for my liking as I have back issues. I bought mattress foam and still had a hard time getting comfortable. I'd recommend to the owners invest in good beds. And also a larger amount of hot water would have been nice. I had plenty of hot water for a shower but I wished I could have taken a nice hot bath in that amazing antique tub. The kitchen is well equipped but bring all your condiments and spices laundry detergent and tp. Fyi. Overall for the price there really isn't much to complain about. The host Paul was very helpful and attentive. He even allowed me to extend my stay at the same nightly rate in which i was very grateful for. They also allowed my pets to stay with me and that was a huge plus. I really enjoyed this house and my stay. It was so relaxing and wonderful! Thank you for lending me your home. It really is exquisite!
