About this house rental
Beautiful rambling early-1900s fully restored farmhouse in pastoral country setting on a few acres. One of the original homesteads in Paonia. Quintessential rural seclusion with an easy walk to town. Big trees and yard, sweet front porch, pocket doors, wood floors, nice-sized air-conditioned bedrooms and lots of fresh air and sunshine. 1 block away from the river and Paonia library, 3 blocks from center of town.

Beautiful home, great location and wonderful outdoor area to enjoy the perfect fall weather.
The home had a nice big table to play games in the evening and I liked that the TV was upstairs and away from the living area.
Christina and Barry were very nice and accommodating hosts!

We come to Paonia every year to visit family. This home did not disappoint! The home was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. There were fresh flowers on the dining room table and music playing when we walked in. Barry & Christina are wonderful hosts. As a professional chef, I found the kitchen to be very well appointed and great to cook in. We had a large front yard to enjoy with our family and the deer that wandered through.

This farmhouse is in superb condition and so quaint. It has everything you need with all the modern conveniences. The beds were so comfortable and we enjoyed the many spaces for our family of 5 adults. We played scrabble outside and had a visit of a few deer that camped out under the pine tree. It’s a short walk into the heart of Paonia and Grand Ave with restaurants and shopping. We love Paonia!

Every time we stay here there’s some new small touch that makes it even better than the last. Hands down our favorite family getaway - the property is beautiful & comfortable, close to town but very peaceful, and Christina and Barry are the perfect hosts!

A Relaxing Retreat
This property was a delightfully furnished and decorated home which provided us with a relaxing retreat at the end of each long, active day. The kitchen was fully equipped for all our needs and there were several places we could sit and relax. The beds were comfortable and the bedding warm and cozy. As a whole, the house felt very homey and comfortable.
The neighborhood and surroundings were both near to town and roomy enough to feel like it was in the country.
We enjoyed seeing the deer in the pastures and lawns and reveled in the beautiful views of the mountains.
We would not hesitate to book this property again.

Super comfortable! Great property in a beautiful neighborhood close to town with many places to visit. Host left a list of restaurants, bakeries(homemade bagels), wineries, orchards, hikes, etc. A haven for foodies interested in organic local foods. Beds were super comfortable with down comforters and crisp sheets. Yard was not 100% fenced in but my dog managed in the large backyard area. Would definitely return.

Country Charm
The house is vintage with modern updates, private, and comfortable. We enjoyed the peacefulness of sitting outside in the yard at sunrise and sunset or walking through the grassy field in the back of the property. Livestock and wildlife were close by. This was an uncomplicated checkin process, clean, and well appointed. The hosts are accommodating and gracious. My pup was graciously welcomed by our hosts. Leaf peeping was the best ever and this location is close to many beautiful areas of foliage and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison is a wonder. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Christina and Barry’s Farmhouse was everything it was advertised to be, and even more. It is a lovely and enchanting portal to another world… a slower time and a reconnection with life’s basics.
We loved the town of Paonia, and picked enough fruits and vegetables to fill our car up for the trip home. Would highly recommend to friends/family. Immaculate/spotless… every attention to detail has been tended to. Amazing library of postmodernist and other history/art/traveling books abound.

A fastidiously clean and well appointed farmhouse just outside Paonia, CO. Large rooms, including a large kitchen. Comfortable beds with luxurious sheets. Bonus: watch deer traipse across the huge yard while you sip your coffee from the porch. Lovely and friendly hosts. We had a great time and would love to return.

Loved our time in Paonia in this charming farm house!
Great location with quick access to town by walking, very well maintained and cleaned. The temps were high the week visited but the owners were great to leave multiple fans, window AC units and plenty of ice. The outside picnic bench and swing set was great for dinners and play- lots of deer and wildlife to watch.

Country Charmer in Paonia
We so enjoyed staying in this charming old farmhouse! We had deer that greeted us upon arrival and then every morning and evening as they strolled through the yard. We even had a sweet kitty visitor on the front porch. The house was well appointed, very clean and extremely comfortable. Our hosts, Christina and Barry were very easy to work with and gave us tons of information about things to do and places to eat in the area (Root and Vine, The Living Farm and Big B’s Cidery were some of our favorites!). We were only here for a quick wedding weekend but would definitely stay here again when we’re in the area! We have to come back to do the winery tour someday! Thanks for sharing your property Christina and Barry and it was so nice to meet you while we’re there!

Our Victorian Farmhouse has been our favorite VRBO property that we have ever stayed in! The Farmhouse is perfectly located on a quiet road in Paonia that is only minutes away from Wineries, Farmers Markets, and shops. Barry and Christina's attentive care made this a perfect week - from dropping by and introducing themselves to dropping us little text nuggets of what was going around the area throughout the week.
