It was a great flat! Clean and very friendly!

perfect for couple to relax because it is very quiet and safe neighborhood

This is a small in-law unit attached to a larger house. Please note it's a basement conversion so the unit is below ground level, but the entrance is to a light well (with outdoor stair access), so both living and bed rooms have some natural light. The unit seems reasonably new, furniture is clean and in good shape. There is a good sized fridge, and a microwave, but no cooktop, so it's not designed for cooking. Dining table is good sized and comfortable for a take-out meal The location is in a quiet residential neighborhood, within walking distance to Mountain View downtown where a lot of nice restaurants and shops can be found. Owners are very nice in communications. Check-in check-out process was easy. Overall it's a very nice unit, especially considering the reasonable price of rental.

The space is large and the location is good. However, there is a ladder that we have to go up and down. This is difficult for old man and woman.
Also, there is no screen in the door which is face directly to the bath place.

This unit is one and a half flights of stairs from ground level. To reach it you have to travel a long unlit path with uncut plant tendrils reaching out to trip or hit you in the face. The path has lighting but it is never on at night so you have to feel your way or use your phone. The entry to the pathway was obstructed by an irregularly curled garden hose.
Loud piano practice starts around 4 pm followed by non-stop repetitive piano playing interspersed by scale practice until 10 pm. The piano is heard from overhead and the noise reaches out into the street.
In addition, loud, heavy footsteps and scraping movements of furniture are heard from the floor above . Our first night there the pounding of footsteps from overhead started at 5 am but on most mornings 7am and of course in the evening. You could differentiate adult movement from the running of the children. Not information I wanted.
Barking dogs also contributed to the noise.
The patio had a nice collection of bird droppings near the steps.
There were only 2 juice glasses and 2 drinking glasses. Fronts of lower cabinets were dirty. Everything else was pretty basic. No bath mat so we used one of the two hand towels. To make matters worse the temperature control in the shower was erratic. It would be warm one moment then icy cold then too hot the next making showers very unpleasant.
The queen size bed's mattress is worn down on the one side so that you feel like you are going to fall out. The other side was OK so my wife slept on that side and I moved to the twin bed in the TV area. (Not shown in the pictures).
The glass dining room table has had a corner broken off and glued back on. Did not look very safe. Unit was neat but not clean. Could use a good mopping especially in the bathroom near the toilet and the area rug needed to be vacuumed. Cabinets fronts needed to be cleaned. Mold is starting to grow around the tub and tile. Tub is unusualy high from floor with no hand rail. Body wash is provided in a variety of feminine scents. We were shown to the room by a nice lady who spoke no English. We still don't know what some of the switches did.
To end on a positive note the TV worked well and had most all of the premium channels available with DVR. Too bad we couldn't enjoy them because of the never ending piano noise. Would not recommend this unit if you value quiet and a restful nights sleep.

When compared to hotel nightly costs in the area, it was much more reasonable. However, we found pieces of trash on the sofa, which led me to believe the sofa had not been at least wiped off in some time. The items stored in the cabinets give off a strong odor, which carries through the unit. I am a lover of dogs, but every night around 9:30 pm, the owner's dog would bark for quite a while. The noises coming from the family above didn't bother us.
We didn't spend a lot of time in the unit, so it worked out ok.

On Spot Suite
We recently stayed in Mountain View - Na & Ivans beautiful guest space. Our hosts were gracious enough to accommodate our quick arrival as we hadn't known exact timing before getting there, originally anticipating much later in the day. As well as also accommodating our change in timing when checking out, supporting our transitioning! We were involved in a long four day seminar that lasted over 12 hours per day and were easily able to access the guest space as needed in the evenings. It was wonderful to finish the long days in a nice comfy bed and completely rejuvenating to wake in the morning to a nice shower with helpful supplies accessible! We would recommend this space or revisit when in Cali again Thanks !!!!!

I booked this room as accommodation for my tech internship of 3 month, coming from abroad. I stayed together with my wife and son of 1 year and can recommend this place for anybody having the same needs. The rooms were clean, with nice furniture. It comes with a small kitchenette that allowed us to prepare basic meals ourself. Ivan and Na are a very friendly couple that helped as with anything we needed assistance with, and if we had questions, we had answers almost always the same day. If we come back once more, I would be happy to stay there again!

The location was great for our graduation weekend with our daughter - easy to go back and forth to Stanford University (~15 min. drive). The owners are friendly. The bed was comfy. The refrigerator and hot plate were plenty for the small meals we cooked & ate here. Much better than a local hotel for the price. For two reasons, we would suggest that you mention the apartment is downstairs. 1) In case elderly folks come and cannot use the stairs, and 2) Although the noise of footsteps above didn't bother us, it might bother others. We noticed that the apartment needed a deep cleaning - spider webs along ceiling, living room area rug needed vacuuming, mold and debris near entrance, and items were left in drawers from previous tenants.

Fantastic experience
The accommodation was perfect, the location of the house is excellent, impeccable cleanliness, good structure and safe neighborhood. I spent a very comfortable week and with all structure needed to stay close to everything in Silicon Valley.

We very much enjoyed our 5 day stay in this large and comfortable apartment. The neighborhood was quiet yet close to all amenities with easy access to main roads. The owners were very friendly and responsive yet totally unobtrusive. We would definitely stay again when in the area. (It was not an issue for us but I do want to note that, although there is a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, the kitchen is not stocked or set up for any kind of cooking.)
