My husband and I stayed at this property for our second wedding anniversary.
The accommodations were comfortable and the location, excellent. 10-15 minutes from Little Beach and local shops but far enough away from the downtown to enjoys the peace and quiet at Suite Cottage Retreat.

Was beautiful peaceful get away! Frances was wonderful to deal with! Will be back!!

We were very pleased with the cleanliness and location. We stayed two nights and Frances was a wonderful host. She provided restaurant recommendations that were perfect. The free breakfast at Art and Soul was a nice surprise. It is a short walk to the beach. We would highly recommend staying here.

Very cozy, great place to unwind.

The scent of cigarette smoke lingered in the room. We let Francis know that we left the windows open to help air the room out and she brought air freshener which helped. The room looked similar to the photos on the site but the bed and furniture were tired and well-worn. The TV only played DVDs but there were no DVDs provided. The garden was lovely but the room itself was a let down.

Everything about this place is beautiful, healing and filled with amazing energy.
Frances is so lovely. I knew I’d like her just from our correspondence prior to arrival. Upon arrival I was so warmly and care-fully received. Her hospitality and desire for my enjoyment parallels no other experience I’ve ever had.
The space is clean, beautiful, carefully and artfully decorated inside and out.
It was a perfect getaway for a very tired single mama with 2 special needs kids. I definitely came home in better shape than I arrived!!
Thank you Frances!

We had an amzing Thansgiving weekend staying at Frances place.
Everything about the property is charming and cozy. And although we didnt get a chance to meet Frances (hopefully next time) she was quick to answer any questions and even gave us a late afternoon checkout which was greatly appreciated.
Perfect place to relax and recharge.
Would definitely return.
Thanks again Frances....Stephanie and James.

The property was in a great location (we were able to walk everywhere- beach, town, grocery store!) And there was a spectacular view!! Frances was so helpful and sweet and so easy to get ahold of. We didn't get our check in information through the VRBO website, but Frances was so good about the fact that we weren't completely prepared.
My husband and I fully enjoyed our time in the house! Thank you Frances forgiving us a space to spend the first half of our honeymoon!!!

Enjoyed our quiet stay. Frances does live above the property. Can hear footsteps and sometimes talking but nothing that was disturbing. The property was very clean and pretty quiet. We went for our 24th wedding anniversary and loved our stay. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who just wants to get away and relax. The hot tub was an awesome bonus. Thanks Frances. Hope to visit again!

My wife and I just spent the weekend at this beautiful property and we had an absolute blast.
Upon arriving Frances greeted us with a big smile and a welcoming presence. She showed us the suite which was located directly below her own living quarters (But you could barely tell as she made no noise at all).
The suite had it's own outdoor area underneath of her back patio overlooking the lake and properties below.
We enjoyed the outdoor seating, the hot tub tucked away privately in the covered corner, the large propane fire pit and the cozy interior of the suite.
Frances supplied all the necessities for us to have a comfortable stay. A fully loaded kitchen, a larger-than-king sized memory foam mattress, a bbq etc.
Frances also created a book with local restaurants and menus. We had never been to Port Stanley before so this guide proved to be incredibly helpful in venturing the town.
The suite is far enough away from downtown and the main beach that we weren't disturbed by the tourists, but it was close enough that everything was within a 15min walk.
Frances checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and even set us up with free coffees and croissants to pick up from a local café on our way out of town.
She is an incredibly lovely host and I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a getaway or to adventure the beautiful town of Port Stanley.

My husband and I stayed at The Suite Retreat last summer for a week. It's a perfect spot for a quiet getaway for two. A short walk to the beach, amazing views, walking distance to town, a firepit and a private hot tub. Frances is an awesome host. I would book this property again in a heartbeat.

Enjoyed watching the sunrise ...was beautiful. The hot tub was nice but needed a cleaning. Sandy grit on the bottom.

Cannot say enough good things. My wife and I honeymooned here, we had an amazing experience staying at Frances place, she is such an incredible and kind hearted host. We found the place to be clean and well supplied, and best of all so peaceful. It was an oasis and we can’t wait to return

Had an incredible weekend of sacred idleness at the Suite Retreat. Beautiful view and cozy spots to unwind inside and outside the unit. Frances was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
4.7
Inside and outside needed some maintenance.

Frances was an excellent host and very knowledgeable of the area. Very calm and quiet. Feels very secluded but you are very close to the downtown core. Loved it, definitely going to be returning.

Frances told us to let her know ETA and she would meet us. I texted her and she wasn't there but the door was opened so we called then walked in. She was not happy. Then we went in and the place smelled very musty, not a clean smell. She stated she smelt nothing. The TV didn't work at all . She then said what would happen if i can't get my handyman. We said then we'll leave. We then went to the beach. We came back to 3 people in our place (not told they were coming) to fix the TV (they were neighbours). Finally got 1 station! The propane tank was empty. The hot tub was warm but weren't allowed to adjust it and the jets were very low and only a few. The kitchen had very few staples in it. I had to ask for a measuring cup! Lots of tea pots though!. The kitchen by day 3 smelled like dead fish and that was the last straw. The place is so outdated and in such need of repairs i would be embarrassed to rent it out. The view was beautiful out on the balcony and the bed was comfortable. We were also informed that we had to take the garbage out and to take the recycables home with us. We left on day 3. Could not tolerate it anymore.

We had a wonderful weekend at this property! The huge bed was comfortable and decor beautiful. The kitchen was well supplied. The view outside was amazing including the gardens and of course we enjoyed the hot-tub which was well protected from the cold that weekend!
Thanks so much for a great weekend!

Quaint rental for one or a couple. View is great. Hot tub is an added bonus. In Spring, summer or fall the outdoor spaces would be used to add to the ambiance and allow you more space. Within walking distance to town, restaurants, shops, bars.
