We had a lovely stay in Cosy Cottage.
We had a lovely stay in Cosy Cottage. It’s a lovely space with excellent heating and fire to keep you warm! The bed was also very comfortable and the shower pressure is excellent. Our only complaint was the equipment in the kitchen wasn’t brilliant, not good quality, quite old and occasionally dirty. Otherwise the whole cottage had been cleaned very well. We would definitely stay again!

A lovely well located ‘Cosy’ cottage - you get what it says on the tin.
A lovely well located ‘Cosy’ cottage - you get what it says on the tin.
A few points to note - low ceilings in bathroom and on stairs which if over 5’9 can cause the odd issue. There is WiFi in the cottage (which delighted my kids as they thought it was WiFi free). Oven takes twice as long as you think to cook anything!
We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Chalet just a few doors down for Breakfast, Lunch, Cakes etc. Easy 20min walk to Keswick or down to Derwent water.

A lovely little cottage, perfectly named.
A lovely little cottage, perfectly named.
Very clean and well finished.
Only downside for us were:
-Some of the kitchen equipment was dirty and pans were looking old
-The ceiling isn't very heigh, banged my head going up the stairs and couldn't stand up straight in the shower, I'm only 6ft

We have stayed at Cosy Cottage several times now.
We have stayed at Cosy Cottage several times now. It’s a lovely little cottage and very warm in winter. The decor is very modern. The kitchen has most things you may need including a coffee machine. Lovely comfortable beds and the shower is fantastic (as long as you’re not six foot plus as the ceiling is low).
There is a pub and cafe nearby but no shops if you run out of milk etc. Keswick is a pleasant 20 minute walk away so easy to reach supermarket.
Loads of walks available from the cottage around Keswick and Newlands Valley if you don’t want to take the car. There is parking outside the cottage but not much room, would not suit large vehicle.

Great cosy spot perfect for exploring.
Great cosy spot perfect for exploring. Spotlessly clean, well maintained and perfect for a walking week. Grateful for the comments re no back area, there are a few benches over the road with great views. Both of us are over 6ft and therefore unable to stand up in the shower.
That said we would return, as a perfect base to walk to some outstanding places.

Had a great Christmas Week at Cosy Cottage, very warm with great gas fire and plenty of space for the 5 of us, lovely top spec furnishings. See others comment on shower, well it's a 200 year old cottage with low ceilings what can you expect, parking too small for us so just parked down the road. Dishwasher would have been nice but definitely needs more crockery and glasses,no flute glasses, 3 bowls of differing sizes, one large dinner plate and 3 medium plates, not enough of anything for 5 guests had to keep running across the road to our friends at Harney Peak to get more to be able to sit down for meals. Easy walk into Keswick for cocktails. Would genuinely book again.

Cosy is a lovely cottage.
Cosy is a lovely cottage. We have stayed there around eight times. Portinscale is walking distance from Keswick so no need to always use the car. There are many easy walks from the cottage around Newlands Valley and Keswick area. The cottage is very comfortable with modern decor. Great shower and very comfy beds. The kitchen is equipped with all the basics. There is a cafe just along from the cottage and a local pub which serves great food.
The parking space provided for Cosy is rather small and may be a problem if you have a large vehicle.

Although this cottage was comfortable & clean,we didn't realise that there was no back garden or even a back door with a yard,I think this should be made clear on the cottage website, as we would not have booked it knowing we were taking our dog,it made things more difficult late at night & first thing in the morning if the dog needed to go outside urgently!

Very nice clean comfortable accommodation in an excellent location.
Very nice clean comfortable accommodation in an excellent location. Our only small issues were the ‘small’ parking space and the slightly difficult to understand bins/recycling instructions.
Overall a very enjoyable stay.

The cottage was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable.
Being a cottage, it is not best suited to taller people (5ft 9” plus). Hit head several times on stairs and couldn’t stand up in the shower.
But this was a lovely cottage, well situated. Though the road outside could be noisy.
Also, as an owner of 2 dogs the lack of a garden was a bit of a pain (this could be my
Fault for not reading this in the info though).
Still all in all a lovely holiday.

A really lovely cottage in a great location.
A really lovely cottage in a great location.
Parking is tight and limited to one car but it is possible to park on the road close by.
Note it was difficult to stand upright in the shower if you are tall.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay a real home from home.
Would recommend and look forward to returning
