Just home this weekend from our first stay at Friarystone Cottage.
Just home this weekend from our first stay at Friarystone Cottage. A beautiful cottage, so well looked after and in a wonderful location. One of the nicest properties we have stayed in during our many visits to Northumberland. Our family really enjoyed our stay and will definitely look to book again.

Our tenth visit and as always totally immaculate.
Our tenth visit and as always totally immaculate. Stunning location, well equipped, private and so much to do and see locally or further afield. Very quiet and peaceful, but the owners live nearby and are on hand should you need them, the very lovely Carole and David. Can't wait for visit 11!

Friarystone cottage was one of the cleanest and well positioned cottages we have ever stayed in.
Friarystone cottage was one of the cleanest and well positioned cottages we have ever stayed in. The pictures on the web site do not do it justice, and the cottage is a lot larger than it first appears. The owners who live next door are never intrusive, but are on hand to answer any questions you may have. The views over the back garden towards the sea are fantastic with lots of local wildlife to see. It is only a 10 minute walk to local amenities, the butcher, corner shop and pubs. Walks to the beach and castle take around 15 minutes.
It is definitely a property we will be returning to in future years.

The kitchen equipment was first class with nothing overlooked. The cottage is at the head of a quiet
cul-de-sac not overlooked and with a large lawned area at the rear. The view from the patio was
excellent overlooking open countryside with a variety wildlife.
We have no hesitation in recommending this stunning prpoerty.

Excellent accommodation and facilities. Large lawned area perfect for ball games.
Good location, walking distance from village centre and several good pubs.
Very welcoming hosts with lots of helpful advice of things to do - particulary useful given weather was mixed.
