Great location right on the moor with horses and cattle right up to the window.
Great location right on the moor with horses and cattle right up to the window. Our dogs loved this despite the weather being wet at times. Rear garden is a reasonable size but given the location being car free except for access you won’t be short of space outside. Decor is mixed with new in places such as the bathroom and a bit tatty in others. Electric heating works well with the added benefit of a log burner. Welcome cake and milk appreciated. Cleaning could be better and looked rushed, don’t look under the bed, at the bathroom blind or behind the couch etc. Kitchen clean and well equipped. Bed could be better as the memory foam had a memory to want to roll you off. linen a bit tired and worn. Overall we had a great stay and due to the season it was good value for money. In peak season the prices looked a bit high when compared with other places we have stayed in which are at a much higher standard but given the location you may want to pay this to gain access to this unique location. Tesco extra, plenty of pubs and a garden diy centre all at hand. Due to proximity to A road about a mile away you do hear the road outside. Nice conservatory on the back and table and chairs at the back for the warm dry evenings.

Thank you Tony once again we had a fantastic holiday it's an area we have been going to for over 33 years .walks are straight from the door Chessie my golden retriever loves it ,idea for a couple or friends with dogs garden fully enclosed.
We have already booked for next year and so have lots of other guests so it just goes to show how popular Brookside is.
Thank you 😊

Private and quiet.
Private and quiet. Owners made an effort to be welcoming by leaving flowers and a lovely home baked chocolate cake. However sadly some things were lacking for example top oven did’nt heat up, some of the cutlery hadn’t been checked and was dirty. Handle on loo cistern very loose. Could have been cleaned under beds etc as dog hairs found. Not major but would make all the difference.
NB we have been dog owners, so nothing against dogs.
