This cottage had everything we needed. Plenty of space for five, and very comfortable. An easy walk to the train station, as well as shopping, restaurants and hiking. Would definitely stay here again!

The cottage is absolutely beautiful. So cosy and nicely done, with an incredible garden and view. And perfect location just a quick walk to the centre. Ellie, the owner, was really friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

The cottage was lovely and equipped with everything you might need, even a welcome basket with some food items and a bottle of wine. Ideally located to walk into the centre, although the cobble hill did take some navigating in the rain. The cottage was comfy & warm with all bedding & towels provided. There’s a lovely view from the cottage & it’s a nice (but steep) walk up the hill. Some lovely shops, pubs & cafes to visit and a nice walk along the canal. We were very lucky with the weather which made a huge difference to our weekend, but would definitely consider staying again.

Fabulous cottage with everything you could need.
Fabulous cottage with everything you could need. Loved the quirkiness and it was super clean. Surprised by welcome treats which was a lovely touch. Thought Hebden Bridge was good and we hope to go back soon.
A couple of downsides were the steep slope outside and the smell of cigarettes coming up from property below.

Very comfortable and well equipped cottage.
Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. The historical photos and information on the wall in the living room (and the large wall map in the hallway) are fascinating.
Garden is amazing - would love to revisit in spring or midsummer to make more use of it.
The cottage would benefit from instructions on how to use the central heating, broadband and TV (all which had been turned off at the "mains" when we arrived). However, the owners were extremely prompt with their help and we got everything going satisfactorily.
A minor point is the faint, intermittent background smell of cigarette smoke (only in the bathroom and hallway) which emanates from the house directly below. (The cottage is a typical quirky Hebden Bridge double-decker style dwelling where the lower level opens up onto a different street).
The bathroom is modern and has separate shower and bath units - ideal for a soak after one of the many long walks you can take straight from the house. Upstairs double bedroom is very comfortable (we didn't use the other two bedrooms).
The cottage is minutes away (walking) to all amenities in Hebden Bridge which is a very quirky and interesting town. Once we had parked the car on the steep cobbles (no parking charges) we left it there all week and used the local station (10 minute walk) for trips to Halifax and nearby villages.

Great little cottage, very close to centre of Hebden Bridge.
Great little cottage, very close to centre of Hebden Bridge. would definitely like to return in the future. Well equipped with an amazing selection of DVDs to keep children entertained in the evening. Probably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as the cobbles to the cottage are extremely steep. Lovely walk to Hardcastle Crag. Beautiful Garden, didn't get to fully enjoy as weather not too kind and we were only staying for a weekend - kids did love the swing though
