Prudhoe Mews is a fantastic place to stay. It was scrupulously clean and very well equipped. It is within easy walking of all the amenities in Alnmouth. Can recommend the Quiz Night at The Sun Inn and breakfast at The Whittle House was superb. Thank you for the Welcome Pack and would love to return.

Beautiful well equipped and comfortable flat.
Beautiful well equipped and comfortable flat. Very clean and the sofas and beds are really cosy. The kitchen has everything you could wish for. This is the 2nd time we have visited and we would happily come back.

1. This is a well equipped flat in a good position. The availability of the front and back garden spaces was a great advantage, particularly with other family members on holiday nearby and still with a degree of “social distancing”.
2. I do not go on holiday to defrost a freezer, but the quantity of ice to remove (more than 4 litres of meltwater) had already excluded the freezer drawers from use.
3. Lighting was good, once we had replaced one missing and two defective bulbs.
4. A good holiday flat, the experience somewhat diminished by a lack of attention to detail.

We are regular visitors to Alnmouth and the location, and accommodation, of this property were excellent. Very comfortable, and the beach is literally just over the road from the front gate. Having off-street parking was a real bonus too.
Whilst the furnishings and kitchen were all modern, comfortable and in great condition there was one thing that let this property down, the speed of the wifi, which when holidaying with teenage daughters is an essential. When a property is advertised as having wifi one does expect it to be adequate and I'm afraid with speeds of c.1Mbps this was barely sufficient for emails, and just not capable of streaming which we had plans to do.

Very comfortable cottage in a good location.
Very comfortable cottage in a good location. Attention to small details would make this an excellent cottage. Mis-matched and chipped crockery, a microwave that was rusty inside and light bulbs needing replacing let it down. We would still book again.

Prudhoe Mews was perfect for our family holiday.
Prudhoe Mews was perfect for our family holiday. The property was clean and well-equipped and the welcome hamper was much appreciated. The only slight downside was the lack of storage space in the main bedroom. Apart from that the property is ideally situated for exploring the Northumberland coast, with several castles and historic towns only a short distance away. If you do not want to venture too far afield the wonderful beach is just across the road from the property and there are restaurants serving delicious food virtually on the doorstep.

Very well situated next to the beach, the flat is large and comfortably furnished. We found the flat somewhat dark and it didn’t get much sun except in the evening. Although there is allotted parking it is shared with the other two flats and I received a long lecture from one of the upstairs residents how exactly I had to park! It’s easier to park on the road to spare the aggression.
The garden is pleasant at the back and front. Alnmouth is a charming place to stay and we enjoyed the area very much.
