If you are looking for a break away from everything then Beer Farm is the perfect place.
If you are looking for a break away from everything then Beer Farm is the perfect place. Its location is great, totally secluded & off the beaten track.
The accommodation is spacious & comfortable but the highlight is the pool. Absolutely perfect for chilling out in after taking in the walks in the local area. Can't wait to book again.

This is a great place for all the family.
This is a great place for all the family. Very remote so you need a car and be prepared to drive 30mins to get anywhere. The pool was great, the jet wasn’t working but it didn’t matter. The place was tidy and big enough for everyone with lots of space to sit outside and inside. The walks from the house are lovely and also an adventure through the woods to the river as well. Would definitely go back again.

Our second time at Beer Farm and it was as good as the first time.
Our second time at Beer Farm and it was as good as the first time. We chose to go back there purely because we wanted to relax and could think of no better place. The pool was perfect and the house warm and comfortable. Add to this the seclusion of the farm and it was ideal for us to switch off laptops and phones and just enjoy the experience. Thoroughly recommend a week here for any family with kids or any couples wanting to escape the rat race.

The place itself is beautiful and so quiet a great place to relax and forget the world.
The place itself is beautiful and so quiet a great place to relax and forget the world. The facilities are good especially the pool and it keeps the kids entertained for hours, as is the ping pong table in the games room. When we last visited the field behind the house and in front had been cut, so we could play games and the kids and dogs could run around, however this time the grass was about 3 feet high meaning we could not use it at all, which is a shame as there is not much point in having 5 acres if you can use it. The bushes and driveway to the cottage had also not been trimmed, meaning you scratch your car every time you come and go from the property and scrape the underneath of your car. No gas was supplied for the BBQ and on phoning the caretaker we were told sorry, but there was nothing they could do, not very helpful when you have brought tons of BBQ food to cook, so we ended up having to buy the throw away ones. To be honest the BBQ itself was also not very clean, so it might have been a good thing. No hammock outside like before, which was also a shame as we enjoyed that very much. Patio furniture is also in need of repair as some of the arms are loose and the table not very stable. The master bedroom mattress was the same as before, which we commented on 3 years ago, as it is very uncomfortable and has had a lot of wear, this really needs replacing. Overall the house is tidy, but needs some TLC to get it up to standard, especially for the price you are paying, the cleaning is also very poor. Curtains in the living room are dirty and dont fit properly, paint is flaking in the shower and the pool really needed a clean. Only two logs supplied for the fire which is pointless. Kitchen is small with not much worktop, would benefit from an additional unit on the back wall and really needs a larger fridge freezer when there is a large group, the current fridge also seems to be leaking. The pots and pans were not very clean. The Dishwasher filter is broken meaning it didn't clean very well and none of the kitchen knives are sharp. To be honest if these points were fixed I would have no hesitation in booking Beer Farm again as it is a lovely place and the kids and dogs love the freedom they have, but we will be looking at other places instead and keep an eye on the reviews.
