We vacationed with our children and grandchildren to see the Rocky Mountains, many for the first time. Whispering Pines was a perfect place to accommodate our family. The kids loved the bedroom options and really enjoyed the comfortable seating in the media room. The location was close to so many activities.

Our family of 8 adults, one teen and two kids had a great time with plenty space to spread out. Check in was easy and straight forward. All accommodations were just as claimed. The Colorado Springs area offers a variety of recreation from camping/fishing to white water rafting and hiking. There are a variety of very good restaurants in the city and museums.

Our family had a wonderful stay and this house was absolutely perfect for our group of 15. Something to do for everyone - pool, movies, puzzles, enjoying sitting outside and watching the deer and turkeys every morning and evening. We were in town from Minnesota for a 5k at Cheyenne Mountain state park. Weather was perfect and we met up with friends from all over. Would definately recommend and also stay here again. Ages from under 2 to almost 70. Thank you so much!!!

Wow! We really feel like we hit the jackpot in booking this home. We had a family of 14 joining us for our son’s USAFA Graduation and everyone was thrilled with the house, rooms, and neighborhood. First-class all the way!
We also hosted a Memorial Day gathering for about 25 cadets (cadets/families) and received many compliments about the property. I took pride…like it was my own. :-)
Communication with the real owners, John and Christy, was spectacular and timely. Could not be more pleased.
I recall one past reviewer frustrated with the moth situation but we did NOT experience that issue during our stay. The house was clean and filled with items to cover our everyday needs. We had enough plates, cups, wine glasses, silverware, coffee makers, etc. The tv’s, washer/dryer, refrigerators, stovetop, microwave, oven and outdoor grill were in great shape.
Everyone LOVED the turkeys and deer that would wander by all day. So beautiful. Would have given this review more stars if allowed. Thank you, John and Christy, for allowing our family to share your home.

Lots of room to spread out. We were cooking for a large group so the gas grill and second oven came in handy. Loved it!

This property was so perfect for our large family for a wedding weekend . So spacious and so clean. Room for everyone to spread out and plenty of outside space/seating. Beautiful view from the back of the house. Hearing the bells from the mountain shrine was a bonus. The neighborhood was very nice and peaceful and seeing the wild turkeys trot by every morning was another bonus. Beds were comfortable and plenty of options to arrange sleeping assignments. Highly recconthis lovely home

We had our family reunion with our large family. We had ample room and lots of space for everyone. The turkeys were wonderful as they paraded by in the morning and a deer would stop by to visit on ocasión. Big surprise was one of the turkey hens had chicks. Every place we wanted to visit was within 10 to 20 minutes away. Great place and we will be back.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I told the grandkids that just because we are living like the Clampets (older people would understand this) doesn’t mean that we can act them. The accommodations were well beyond our expectations.

We can’t say enough about how amazing this home was . Clean and well cared for . Beautiful mountain view. The inside was beautifully furnished. Plenty of space for our large group . Close to many of the places we came to see . There is a large garage space that we had plenty of room to park the motorcycles out of the weather . Wonderful neighborhood and neighbors. There is honestly not a single bad thing I can say about this home . We only had a couple small issues and the property manager was easy to reach and quick to respond . The issues were taken care of immediately. If we are even in Colorado Springs again we would absolutely stay here again. AMAZING!

Went for the USAFA graduation with a group of 15. Lots of options for sleeping arrangements. Very nice, great neighborhood, turkeys, deer, what is not to love.
The pool table the home theater in the basement were a hit for the younger crowd.

Every bedroom, the kitchen, hallways, main dining room, entertainment room/bar had a dozen moths. Every time we turned on a light, moths flew, in to our hair, on our clothes.
In addition, the kitchen sink drain pipe was disconnected, so when we washed dishes and then drained the water, it flowed right onto the floor.
I contacted the owner and was told their was a moth infestation in Colorado Springs. That said, the moths were everywhere the moment we checked in, leading me to believe the house had not been cleaned or looked at before we arrived. Simply the worst VRBO home I have ever rented, and we’ve rented over 20 across the U.S.

We expected a great house, and it exceeded our expectations. Roomy, beautifully furnished, well equipped and very clean. We all agreed to rent this again for our next reunion.

The property is beautiful, the neighborhood quiet and accessible and the whole family was enthralled by the turkeys and deer. The house was well stocked with everything we required. There were broken and missing door shelves in the refrigerator, which I reported, and a bit of maintenance is required in other ways, but overall we had few complaints. As other reviewers have noted, be sure to understand that the bedroom with bunks is IN the primary suite and not accessible other than via that suite. There's so much to do within an easy drive of this location. I highly recommend the property and would stay again were we to return.

Beautiful Setting for Family Get Together
Booking the property was easy. Hosts were great at answering questions and providing information about property and things to do in Colorado Springs!
The property was amazing with plenty of room for our group of 15 to spread out! We enjoyed being outside and watching wild turkeys and deer walking through yard and driveway. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed! Great area to play games at night! We were centrally located to everything we wanted to do on our visit! The only negative thing I found is that the driveway is tricky turning into the property! We had an awesome time and would gladly stay here again!

We could not have had a better time!!! There was nothing we would change about the visit. The weather was great, no problems anywhere and the house was gorgeous!!! I especially liked the furniture in the bedrooms - so beautiful. My family agrees - best trip ever!!!!!

This is THE place to stay!!!
If I could possibly have given this place 10 stars, I would have been all over it. We were absolutely blown away with the location, the house, the property, how well equipped the property is, and how accommodating the owners are to the people who are staying there. It is absolutely gorgeous. If Colorado didn’t have so many things to do, we could have easily stayed at this house all week long and had a total blast and never left. Watching the turkeys and the deer every day across the property was an added perk. Our crew played at the pool table, the foosball table, watched TV on the big screen, and played cards at night. The Cheyenne Mountain zoo was only minutes from our door… We could have walked there. It’s the best zoo I’ve ever been to. Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, and Pikes Peak were all within a short distance. We toured Colorado well! Fabulous restaurants surrounded the place, But with the dishes, cookware, and roomy kitchen, we found ourselves eating in more than out on this trip. All in all, I just cannot imagine having landed on a better place to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Colorado university. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the owners! Our family and friends made amazing memories this last week that will last a lifetime!

Pictures do no Justice
We had a wonderful stay for Christmas! This home is equipped with all the tools needed to host Christmas dinner and cook nightly meals! The two refrigerators we a definite plus as well. This home is extremely spacious and had plenty of room for our large group.
One thing that we did not know before arriving was that the bunk bed room is actually inside of the master bedroom. So I wouldn’t actually count it as a room unless you want the kiddos in your room.
It worked out for us because a family had the master and kids. We wanted the room for the teenagers, but that didn’t work out because the room was in the master bedroom. No big deal, but good to know. The theater and game room was plenty of space for the kiddos to hang.
John and his team were awesome!
We would definitely stay here again!

This was an amazing place for our family to enjoy one another. The layout of the house was amazing. Highly recommend paying attention around sun up to watch for the turkeys flying down from their nightly roost in the trees. Seeing two dozen of those beautiful birds do this was quite a sight.

Colorado Springs Vacation
Our stay was nice. There was a problem with the air conditioner. It was not working properly. 2 of the bedrooms did not have any air source at all. The projector in the game room was not working at all. However they did come out the last night we were there to fix it. Overall it was nice
