We did not realize how close we were to Wind Cave Park! We saw so much wildlife in that park and got stuck in a herd of buffalo crossing the road; it was amazing!
The house had what we needed but nothing fancy. We were there over some very very hot days which did make cooling the loft and back bedroom a challenge in the evening but overall a good property for our needs.
The night we arrived we had issues with one toilet. I texted the property manager and they came out the next day to fix it. We also had questions and it was super easy to just text her and got fast responses.
The check in and check out process was probably the easiest we’ve had with a property rental.
We also had female elk, mule deer, turkey and a coyote in the front yard which was really cool!

Gorgeous views from property. Good location, not far from Hot Springs. Hot tub appeared unsanitary and we didnt use. Need to weed landscape better. Remove carpeting from bathroom upstairs. Loved the deck and having quiet of the countryside. With a few updates and touchups would be a fabulous spot.

My friend, her son and I had a wonderful stay at this property. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of land for peace and quiet. The sky was big and the views were fantastic. This property is well located too. Only 10 minutes from Hot Springs where we dined mostly. And to the north are so many attractions and parks which we enjoyed very much. Lastly, I would like to say the communication was great: fast and helpful replies.

It was an awesome location for a trip to South Dakota.

There was room for everyone.
We hope to stay here again.

Stayed here while I fished Angostura for a weekend. Exactly what I needed and a short drive from the lake.

This was a very peaceful getaway. It was very roomy for 2 couples. Bedrooms are nice sized. Bathrooms are also really nice. We didn't use the loft bedroom but it looked really nice. The views are awesome. They had all kinds of deer on the property. It was a great stay.

The views were amazing! Saw plenty of wildlife. The host was quick to respond and very helpful. The cabin had everything we needed, it was a great trip.

Our stay at wind cave cabin was a absolute blast. From questions about the property to working with me on check in and out Pennie was absolutely best to work with. Would recommend staying at their cabin anytime!

Rather out of the way as far as the popular attractions in the Black Hills but that's fine by us. Wind in the pine trees and deer in the yard....pretty perfect.

We stayed at Wind Cave Cabin last week and I can't say enough about it! The location is amazing! So many buffalo and prairie dogs in the area. One of the mornings while enjoying coffee on the upper deck, 6 mule deer walked up. We spent many hours enjoying the upper and lower decks. Communication with the owners was superb! Highly recommend Wind Cave Cabin!

We stayed for 3 days and toured Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs. The cottage was perfectly situated for our plans and we enjoyed the stay immensely.

This place was so great! It was nice and quiet, super close to Wind Cave and had such wonderful views and wildlife in the yard daily. Beds were comfy, the home was roomy, and the place was very well stocked. Our family of four loved staying here!

Great location for our family Black Hills vacation. Super close to Wind Cave, which turns into Custer as you keep driving. Lots of animals to see, even greeted by deer in the yard as we pulled in. House worked well for our family group of 6.

Cabin was as described in listing. Beautiful views from the deck. Central location for all the sightseeing we had planned. We enjoyed our stay.

This cabin is set far back from the road amid pine trees, with an open vista to the grassland at the front. Great views, bordering on Wind Cave NM. Lots of wildlife, gorgeous sunsets. Truly an escape from the stresses of life. There are a lot of stairs, which is a bit challenging for older folk - kitchen is on the "second" floor, so you can't avoid climbing at least one flight. Otherwise, pretty perfect.

The cabin is wonderful and the location is amazing with the best views. The listing stated that there were two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a tub/shower combo. The upstairs bathroom did not have a shower but we made it work. I would recommend this cabin to anyone that would like to explore all the Black Hills have to offer.

We loved our stay at this little A frame house. You are so close to Hot Springs and Custer but the property was just gorgeous and private. The kids LOVED the hot tub and we loved the deck to enjoy the view. The house was big and we had plenty of space. The kids all ended up sleeping in the basement (they have a few air mattresses). The loft was darling but I was worried someone would fall down the stairs. Overall it was such an awesome house in an awesome location!

Super close to Wind Cave National Park and an easy drive to Custer. We loved seeing the wildlife in the yard each day. The house had plenty of room for the 6 of us and made for a really nice vacation.

We loved our stay. The location is gorgeous and was a perfect base for our extended family to explore the area. We especially loved the view and the lightning storm one night. The house was clean and well-equipped and it isn’t far to the town of Hot Springs to go to the grocery store.

Absolutely Perfect Stay
Beautiful views and plenty of room for our family with everything you could possibly need to cook and prepare meals. All toiletries and laundry detergent were provided which was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again when visiting this area again.

Perfect Place
We thoroughly enjoyed this property! Everyone had plenty of room. It became a home away from home which was fantastic at the end of the day. Everything you could possibly need was there. Peaceful, quiet and private. We loved it!

We all loved our stay. We had 8 in our group, my family of 4 and both sets of our parents. It was so close to the nature that we traveled to S. Dakota to see. We were able to see mule deer from the deck everyday, rabbits around the yard and a variety of birds. It was a couple hundred yards from Wind Cave National Park entrance where we saw antelope, buffaloes, prairie dogs and more than a few coyotes. Custer State Park was less than an hour away where the hiking was great and so were the scenic drives. The cabin had more kitchenware than we expected and was awesome as we made breakfast and dinner there nearly everyday during our stay. I highly recommend staying here if you want views and don't want to be in town. Hot Springs has most of what you need and is less than 10 minutes away.

Breathtaking
We ( 9 ) of us adults stayed for a week in this quaint homey A-frame . The views are stunning , the hot tub under the stars AMAZING!!!
We new we would be touring everyday ,so much to see in South Dakota ( btw. Needle tunnel is a must 👍). The house was a perfect location to hop on highways . Grocery store also close by . The house itself was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. There are a lot of stairs, but that's a A-frame . We all fit comfortably. The only drawback to this house is that it has only one shower downstairs. There is a bathroom upstairs with just a tub . But again we managed. We would definitely stay there again thanks for sharing your home with us . Your house is a charm in itself ♥️
