My family was looking for a clean, comfortable place close to the town of Black Mountain. We were out doing things most of the time, so we didn't need a lot of indoor space. The "cute cottage" met all our needs.

Cute older home with perfect space for my husband and I. Quiet location with good Mountain View. Comfortable bed and functional bathroom. Lovely front porch with rockers and carport that was perfect for grilling on the gas grill provided. The only issue we had was the stovetop. The electric burners were not level and only one worked properly. I like to cook rather than go out for most meals.

Our two teenage children participated in a program at Montreat for a week, so my husband and I stayed close by in Cute Cottage. The location is great and the cottage was exactly as described. Plenty of hot water and A/C, nice to have W/D to wash clothes, and front porch rocking chairs were nice to have coffee and enjoy the view. Owners are quick to respond to questions. My only suggestion to the owners: get a guest book as it's always fun to read about others' experiences and advice on places to explore, etc. Overall great experience and very pleased with our stay. Thank you!

Exactly as described. Great location only minutes from town center and hiking trails. Property owners very kind and maintain the place well.

Good mattresses. Quiet. Big kitchen. Nice porch. Some things were worn out and need replacing. Living room furniture uncomfortable.

The house is in a great location, town is awesome, and host was great to work with.

Had an awesome stay here. It’s very close to downtown Black Mountain, we actually brought our bikes and rode those downtown. The cabin is pretty close to other houses, which was a bit of a downside. Overall would stay here again.

Private location with easy access to everything there is to do in the black mountain and Asheville area

The weather was perfect and we enjoyed our stay. The house is perfect for us and we love the porch. Several nights we used the firepit. We have stayed there several times and will stay there again.

The cottage was perfect and very clean. Plenty of room for my daughter and our dog. The street is so quiet and great place to walk the dog. The front porch is quaint and we loved the front porch lights. We fixed dinner every night because my daughter has an allergy so the kitchen was perfect. We will definitely be back!

The cottage was just as advertised. It is very close to town. We just wanted to escape the heat here in Charleston. Loved sitting on the porch. Had a nice view of the mountains. Only downfall is that they are building a neighborhood which will impede on some of the view.
We would stay again

Love the front porch. All the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Convenient to downtown Black Mountain.

This was not the vacation stay we thought we were going to have. The water pressure in shower is a tinkle, not able to get the shampoo out of my hair . Overlooking the trailer park, not the view we were looking forward to. Construction going till late in the evening, new development across the street

Comfortable and well maintained, this property has many things I could brag about. My favorite was the view from the front porch, though. We enjoyed our time. Check in/check out were clear and easy. Lots of recommendations for local businesses and restaurants. And if you want to binge, they have all three seasons of Arrested Development for you on DVD. (There is also a ROKU TV. This is just a shameless AD plug)

This cottage has such potential with a few updates but is a little warm out at this point. Convenient location and a quiet neighborhood.

We loved this place. It was perfect for us.

Nice property, reasonable rates. Extra charges are annoying but not owners’ problem. Does seem unreasonable, though, to charge $70 for cleaning, then ask us to wash sheets and towels

Rented for 6 nights to visit my daughter who lives in black mountain. Home was adequately furnished and clean. Would suggest that the front load washer door be left open after use to prevent mildew. The small appliances could use updating and were not cleaned after last stay but other than that I did enjoy my stay and would recommend it. Check in was easy.

We enjoyed our getaway at this lovely cottage. It was perfect for a senior ladies getaway. Everything was as described by website & pictures. Would highly recommend staying here & hope to stay again there.

Accommodations were great. House was clean. The road the house was on was very quite. There was some construction but wasn't a bother as there is everywhere you go. All neighbors were very courteous. I seen a review that said there was no "Mountain view" wrong you can clearly see the Mountains from the front porch. Fire pit was a nice added touch. Mobile homes that I seen as another complaints as well are off to the right and only one sits off the same main road in front of the home but were no bother. Larger development with stick built homes truthfully is what is in front of the home. I traveled with my senior Lab which was a added bonus. Dining in town is literally only 1 mile! Thank you for having us! Would definitely stay again!

Check in was really easy. The cottage was very clean. We only used one bed, which was comfortable. Liked the location, it was a short drive to the town. Even though there are other homes nearby, it felt very private. We enjoyed using the firepit outside. We loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch. We had everything we needed inside. The town of Black Mountain was really cute. Several restaurants, bars, shops. Less than 30 minutes from Asheville. We would rent again.

Clean and functional
I was attending a workshop at Montreat and this place was very convenient. The price was better than most. The neighborhood was quiet except for the construction noise nearby during the day. It wasn’t an issue for me since I was out early every morning.
The accommodations are satisfactory although the couch was not comfortable. I was greeted every morning with a few rabbits and even two deer one morning.
The house would be crowded with 4 adults but I think it would be fine for a small family.
I would stay there again.

Cute and quaint
This cottage if very cute and quaint. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway this cottage is perfect. It's very clean and looks exactly like the pictures. We spent lots of time on the porch enjoying the rocking chairs, the view of the mountains and the show we saw 5 rabbits put on 1 night. They were so much fun to watch. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Black Mtn getaway
My daughter attended a Bachelorette weekend nearby. We stayed in this rental along with her 7 wk old son. I was glad to have Hulu since the weather was not conducive to outdoor activities with a newborn. The rental was quite nice and had everything we needed. I would have to agree with an earlier comment about the water pressure, but wud venture to say that it's just the way it is. I grew up with cistern water and my mom was not allowed to do laundry on Saturdays because we washed cars that day and dad wanted all the water pressure he could get...haha!

the best!
We had a wonderful stay. We loved the cottage and our hosts were more than helpful and responsive. Since we were there for three months, we had more than the usual needs. These were met without exception. We really enjoyed the mountain view from the wonderful front porch, not to mention the fire pit.

Black Mountain is lovely spot.
Property was clean, had all conveniences, very responsive hosts. Homey atmosphere, great front porch. There are some close neighbors, but view of mountains was prominent. Too bad adjacent acreage has been sold for new homes, we just overlooked that. Cottage is comfy & cozy, great deal for price, we stayed a couple extra days we liked the area so well.
