My friends and I couldn’t have been more pleased with this rental. Great house that is walking distance to town. Would recommend to anyone

The house worked great for our group of 6...plenty of room and great layout. The bunk room is not usable due to creaky beds but other rooms were comfortable. The living area could use an update. Furniture was broken, old television, but the big room with gas stove was great for gathering. Short walk to town and close to the bus depot. Will book again in the future, if updated.

Awesome house.
Awesome house. Very clean and has everything you need. Wish we had a a note on how to use the upstairs front bathroom shower( we had issues on how to turn it off) and also didn’t see the bikes in the garage until we we looking for the trash can on our departure. Overall great house within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Very quiet property, would definitely use again. Thank you . Great experience, very helpful and extremely efficient

Every one of our guests was relaxed, happy and comfortable in this house.
Every one of our guests was relaxed, happy and comfortable in this house. Our guests were so thankful to have such a beautiful house to stay in and a gorgeous place to visit. All of them want to come back to do more hiking and biking. I thought all the verbal communication was friendly and thoughtful, i appreciate that!
My husband met Kate who brought by the coffee maker and said she was very kind and professional. He has Parkinson's disease and he said he was shaking like a leaf :) and she wasn't Phased at all. thank you for that Kate.

The house was a bit chilly and there were no thermostats to be found. The Home guide said-DO NOT TURN UP THE THERMOSTAT. This was hard on some folks -older and our infant. The rooms really were chilly. I think we measured 64 degrees in the main room and probably less in the upstairs at night. Pretty sure recommended home temperatures range between 68-72 degree. We keep out home at 70 degrees with our infant and 67 when we are alone, so the thermostat seemed to be unusually low--with directions not to change it and no thermostat in sight. It was good. I really like having a management company in town instead of VBRO phone representative in another country! In the end, the management fee was similar or less than AirBNB or VRBO and the service much better.

One point of improvement is the temperature in the house. We found it too hot in the house and per the literature we’re not allowed to adjust it. Perhaps you could have someone go over and adjust. I did not see another place to put this suggestion. My comment follows:
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sopris house. The location is great. The house is spacious and well appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and the house was very clean.

Excellent. We were not in house for most part of the day. We were out everyday until late afternoon and out for couple of the evenings.
Great location for walking to town and market.
Appliance repairman suggested that the self-cleaning feature of the ovens NOT be used. Suggest it be noted in the welcome book. Contacted management office couple of times before our trip. Questions were answered but didn't feel assistant was very friendly.

Wonderful layout for a large family gathering. 4 bedrooms with king/queen beds works well for families with older/adult children, and the dog friendly aspect was a must for our crew. Loved the open floor plan kitchen/dining/family room. Fabulous banquet table and comfy windows seats with tons of pillows. This was the first time that the kitchen actually did have everything we needed for meal prep. Bravo! Friendly and professional

Our experience staying here was mixed some good, and some bad. The good. The location was good, with easy walking distance to Elk Street and all the shops. The garage was nice but small for one car.The house has a pleasing open kitchen and living area, and the wood stove made it warm. There was plenty of firewood stacked on the front porch. The kitchen work area was spacious, and this was the main reason we wanted to stay here. Our family loves to get together and cook, eat, play games, and just hang out since we all live far apart in different states. The bad.The floors are not insulated above, and you can clearly hear people talking in the rooms overhead. My son spilled a glass of water upstairs, and it immediately went through the board cracks and came though the ceiling and leaked in the living room downstairs. The kitchen was advertised to be well appointed, but there was no cheese grater, no crock pot or instant pot, and the blender was smaller than usual. The Bosch oven quit working and in spite of repeated efforts made to fix it, the parts never arrived in time for us to use it. We ended up throwing away all the food we had purchased to bake . They brought us us a toaster oven, and refunded us $1250 and told us that since we had a stovetop to cook on they would not refund us more than that. Sadly Since there was no crock pot or instant pot, we did have to use the stove, which was irritating, because the center Burner ignition would start firing repeatedly if you turned on the two back burners at the same time., (you just can’t bake lasagna on the stove. ). We ended up having to eat out more than we had planned. There were only 6 coffee cups, and eight of us, so we had to take turns drinking coffee. The property managers were nice, and even brought us pizza the first night when it became apparent that the meatloaf in the oven was never going to get done. They tried to get the oven fixed to no avail. Other than that, They really need to invest in new mattresses that are higher quality. The downstairs bedroom has a very hard mattress, and the largest upstairs bedroom mattress is Very soft so those two extremes are available. If you were to ask me if I would stay here again, I would have to say no.

Upon arrival, it was immediately clear the "cleaning crew" barely attempted a surface run through of the home. I have many photos I would upload if possible. Filthy wall to wall carpet in bedrooms, mold in shower grout, dirty glasses, silverware and pots and pans put away in the cupboards. Walls with dirt on the walls. Soiled towels displayed on the towel racks and dog chewed hole in bathmat on the floor in master bathroom. Master bedroom bedskirt that was dirty. The leather recliner chair in the living room was broken and not replaced yet. I cleaned before I unpacked groceries and kept cleaning for a whole day to even remotely feel "comfortable". Every drawer I opened in the kitchen had things that needed cleaning before use. Really everywhere that you went in the house there was poor decision making from cleaners and maintenance company in terms of not managing the calendar well enough to take the home out of circulation to bring the property back to the condition that a paying visiting guest would expect, let alone during a pandemic. While the property management company offered to send a crew back to address and properly clean the home- we declined. This is something that should be done before guests arise. We had carefully kept our family of 4 bubble between our home and this house we had booked months ago. 60 day cancellation policy factored into our choice to travel but was committed not to interact with others. We brought all of our food and only hiked, fished and cross-country skiied in order to keep our family and the community we were visiting as safe as possible. This home has a great layout/ location- unfortunately, requires attention and not running a business on autopilot and expecting paying guests to deal with that on their vacations.

Early Christmas in Crested Butte
We highly recommend this home! So warm and cozy, with plenty of room for a family of 8 adults. This home has all of the essentials that you will need - we only needed to stop for groceries. The Christmas season is off to a great start and we will definitely be coming here again. We were very happy with this rental.

Sopris house is in a very quiet neighborhood just minutes away from the bike park, play park and bike trail. Perfect location. It’s spacious and beautiful! Thank you for working with us in reducing the minimum stay length. We live only two hours away so five days is just right.

Property location was excellent. Property condition was good. Only downside was the number of trees around the property. Sunlight was limited. Outdoor space could have been a bit nicer

The house was great.
The house was great. It is showing its wear especially the carpet (Maybe it is time to replace with hardwood?) The BBQ is a little rough, too.
We had an amazing time.
Thanks! Rebecca is very responsive and professional.

The Sopris house was beautiful.
The Sopris house was beautiful. I loved the wood details everywhere, including the ceiling in the living room. I loved the windows and the evergreens outside. The house was beautifully designed and well-kept. I felt at home, and it was easy to come and go. When Crested Butte opened back up after quarantine, Alpine Getaways worked with me to adjust my schedule slightly so that my vacation could move forward as planned. With additional changes, they also helped me find a beautiful house at the last minute.

Very nice to stay for an extended skiing weekend
Great house with plenty of room. Well equipped and furnished. Very nice response from management regarding a few minor issues (we overheated the oven and requested a late checkout). Parking was a little difficult as the garage is small and the second spot outside the garage had 5 feet of snow. We just parked in front of the garage. Would definitely come back. First trip to Crested Butte and the very nice town is an easy walk from the house.

Absolutely wonderful!
The Sopris house met all of our expectations. Beautifully built mountain home, Large, comfortable, lots of windows, quiet, close to mountain biking trails (you can ride right from house and be on trails quickly). all the beds were very comfortable, the bedding was excellent, all the bathroom towels were luxurious, the kitchen was very well equipped with good quality cookware, plates, silverware, glasses and enough for a large group. The living room has these great comfortable window seats to curl up in. the outside barbecue /grill worked great. We used the wood stove once and it worked very well.
All of our guests said they felt like they were on a retreat from their busy lives :)
Property managers Alpine Getaways were just great to work with for the couple of small questions i had.
Just a Top Notch house!
We would love to come back :)

Location Location Location, short walk to all the town Restaurants , Shops and Free Bus Transportation was a bonus....if you cant have a good time here it’s nobody’s fault but your own, despite the snow conditions. Beautiful Home - perfect for celebrating our daughter's wedding. Family room was fantastic.
Property is well appointed with design features emphasizing the Mountain setting. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. & pantry items. Family room is the focus for a comfortable family gathering with lots of seating available. Windows with views & window side cushioned seating was a favorite place for lounging. Each bedroom had its own personality & unique set up. Loaf provides extra sleeping - especially suited for children/teenagers to enjoy a slumber party setting. Memorable home setting for our wedding weekend.

Crested Butte Gem
Family gathering of 8 adults. The layout of the house was excellent for us- one bedroom downstairs with full bath, three bedrooms on the second floor with two baths, plenty of storage, fabulous great room for gathering, huge dining room table that seats ten, and a well laid out and stocked high end kitchen. The refrigerator is huge, and both the oven and gas cooktop were terrific. This house is in a quiet residential neighborhood. The walk to town is about a 10 minute stroll and the bike/dog path is one block away. All the beds were very comfy, and the showers were great. The large grill on the front porch worked well, and we were especially grateful to find such a large, gorgeous home that would allow us to vacation with our pooches.
The property management is responsive and very professional. One note: The loft on the top floor has 4 small (twin) mattresses in two rooms, but the staircase up to them is extremely steep and the steps themselves are about 4 inches wide--possibly too tricky for young children.
This is definitely a house we would return to .

Quiet neighborhood, very comfortable for 4 adult couples + 1.
Roomy living area AND dining table + chairs for all 9 of us. Fully stocked kitchen and space to accommodate a number of us to cook. Problem with self cleaning oven but taken care of the next day. Short pleasant walk to town. If ever back in area with a number of us, would like to be return guests.

Crested Butte Family Getaway
Our family of 6 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs had a very nice time in Crested Butte. The home is very spacious. The kitchen in the house was spectacular! One disappointment was the spa tub in the master suite. The water filled the tub from the ceiling (very strange) and the jets in the tub were really moldy. That really was the only issue we had. The TVs didn't work properly, but that was solved very promptly. Overall, it was a great house to stay in, location was fabulous and we would stay there again.

Wonderful Home
We had a great time staying here! The location was wonderful and for a big group, the house space was perfect. The house had a great kitchen to cook in as well as a large open living/dining room where we were all able to hang out each evening. The beds were comfortable and the overall layout made it a great stay for a weekend ski trip. Thank you!
