Susan's guest house is a wonderful place for a couple to stay. High ceilings enhance the spacious one bedroom unit and furnishings are delightful and comfortable. She provided oranges from her trees for fresh orange juice in the morning. Thank you!

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this property. We found the hosts to be gracious, kind, and very responsive. The hosts were so kind to direct us in since we were arriving well after dark. The property was quiet and secluded. We felt safe at the location and the private drive was convenient for the apartment. The apartment was spacious for a one bedroom and the large bathroom gave us both plenty of room to get ready. The bed was comfortable as advertised. We slept well the entire time.
The downside of our stay was minimal. The furnishings seemed a bit outdated but clean and functional. There wasn’t a lot of drawer space in the bedroom for a lengthy stay, but plenty of space to hang clothes. We did have an ant infestation midway through our stay. The hosts did their best to mitigate the issue but it did linger throughout the remainder of our stay. I think the torrential rains had something to do with the ants moving inside.
Overall, it was a nice stay and will return!

This place is beautiful, clean, quiet, and had everything you would need while you are there. The bed was comfortable, the towels were nice, and the unit is very spacious. We loved meeting Susan and her husband and having her there if we needed anything. We are definetly going back for another weekend getaway soon!

I found this apartment to be the ideal place to rest, relax and recharge during my visit to Vista. The kitchen was well equipped, the towels in the bathroom were luxurious, and the bed was comfortable. I liked the marble floors in the bedroom and bathroom.
The TV was modern enough to connect to my phone's display and the living room furniture was comfortable. I especially appreciated the fresh fruit that my hosts offered to me, they were delicious!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This private 1-bedroom suite with kitchen was like a home away from home. Extremely quiet and safe - we slept with the windows open and it was seriously our best sleep in a long time! Close to local restaurants and grocery stores, and a short and easy 20-minute drive to Carlsbad and the beach. The host, Susan, was welcoming and at the same time did not intrude. Gorgeous property and neighborhood. Quiet and laid-back!!

The apartment was private. It was very clean and comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed our short stay very much. We even got to experience what a great orange just picked from the tree tasted like. Susan was very nice and we really enjoyed meeting her. If I could give ten stars instead of five, I would.

My best friend, my one year old and I stayed here for a night after we went to a wedding nearby. Communication with the host was easy, the description of the site was accurate, and we got to make fresh orange juice with the oranges on the property! The space was clean and quiet, perfect for what we needed.

Beautiful place
This was a very nice property. Small apartment that had all we needed. Our lovely host Susan picked us fresh oranges & a grapefruit. She suggested using the juicer in the morning for for the oranges. We did and what a treat! So delicious. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Susan for sharing your home with us.

Clean and convenient
We stayed in the guest cottage while visiting family in the area. It's an easy 20 minutes to the beach. Carlsbad and Oceanside all beautiful. The place has a comfortable king bed, and our son crashed on the spacious couch. Susan was an attentive hostess and we enjoyed our time,!

Lovely property and great deal for the price
The location of this apartment is great and the citrus tree fruit was fantastic. It was big enough for the two of us with a comfortable bed and clean accommodations. The kitchenette is limiting if you intend to do much meal preparation, but we managed given that we only had dinner in once. Susan and Rich are very helpful and kind. I would consider staying here again.

Had a great stay:
We had such a great time and Susan and Rich could not have been nicer. They welcomed us and were just so friendly. We felt so at home there and the fresh fruit was outstanding. We cannot wait to stay again. The location was just great and worked out so well for us having family in the area allowed us to have the best holiday ever. Thanks again for everything, Linda and John

What was so special was location. It was walking distance from part of our family who held Thanksgiving meal. It accommodated 3 of us, which is not easy to find. It was rainy, so we didn't get to look around much - but it was a nice secluded property. Only negatives, is there was an ant problem - but we didn't have any food or need kitchen outside of having tea in the morning. We were only there in early morning and later (after 8pm) at night, but it was pretty easy to hear the owners who live there. Could use more sound proofing.

Sleep
OMG,
I was very impressed with this location, it L👀KED much better in person than it did on the site ( HomeAway) . We met Susan & her husband Rich shortly after our arrival. They were very hospitable & personable. I was very impressed with the bathroom, walk-in closet & last but not least the bedroom. The mattress was a KING sized mattress. I sincerely had “ The best sleep 💤 of my life”.
Thank You for an enjoyable stay. We’d definitely like to come back and stay longer.

My favorite VRBO ever!
Located in the lushest green part of Southern California I’ve ever seen, this cozy little one bedroom was a pleasure to come home to and a pleasure to wake up in the next morning. Beautiful gardens out the windows by day and fresh cool
night air to sleep in. There was air conditioning but I felt safe enough here In this enclave to leave the windows open. Comfortable supportive bed, new good sized tv and everything i needed to live for my three nights here. Lovely host who met me upon arrival and encouraged me to call her for anything I needed. I didn’t need anything but I would have felt totally comfortable asking her if I had. I will stay here again.
One side note, this area feels like the garden of eden, verdant growth everywhere, flowers, trees and farms nearby. The terrain is hilly and the roads winding. Without any street lights, it can be very dark at night. I came home late every night and not knowing my way around, I needed to use my GPS. If someone had night vision problems and stayed out late, it would be a consideration.
