The house in Long Beach, MS was just as advertised. A super clean place located in a quiet neighborhood that is close to shopping, beaches, and fine restaurants. Mr. John, the owner of the house, was extremely helpful in checking in and left a nice folder with suggested things to do and places to eat. It worked out very well for me.

This is a great property in a quiet neighborhood and Jon the owner is one of the best guys I've dealt with. We will be looking to stay here again next year and maybe sneak in a fall trip or weekend run down to the coast.

Wow! I’m not sure where to start, John was amazing to deal with. Very knowledgeable about the area and great recommendations. My daughter her boyfriend and I stayed a week in Long Beach. Didn’t even scratch the surface on things to do. Weather you want shopping, beaches, great food, casino’s, museums, history, activities for children, this location has it all! Plus it’s pet friendly!! We brought are lil fur babies. They loved running in the fenced backyard with all the new sniffs!
The house was great! Super cute, clean, fully equipped kitchen. When John says pack light….pack light! The bathrooms have all you need, including hair dryers! There’s bag chairs you can take to the beach. Even a cooler you can pack up for your day trips! This absolutely was a perfect spot to stay!

Property is very well equipped (including a dog bed) and has a large fenced yard. Neighborhood is good for dog walking, lots of squirrels to chase. There is lots of information about the area in a large binder. Host is very responsive. Close to everything you may need.

I have never felt more comfortable and at home then I did staying at the Hangout! It was a long and very stressful transfer for me from Guantanamo Bay Cuba. As soon as I walked into the home and met John I knew things were going to be great. The home was super clean and smelled amazing, there were all the little touches to really make you feel welcome; from coffee, creamer, laundry soap etc. everything you need but always forget the first few days. John was a wealth of knowledge of the area and really did an amazing job making me feel welcome. If you are coming to the coast I would recommend this home 1000%. If I could have given it a rating of 100 I would have.

Relaxing get a way
Enjoyed a relaxing get a way after Hurricane Ida. John is awesome. He met me at the property and helped me and my pups get settled in. The place was clean and spacious. House is in a good location. Close to everything you need. Near restaurants, groceries and the beach! The yard is awesome. It is large and fenced in. There is a game room for all to enjoy. We are looking forward to our next stay!

Welcoming host and quiet community
John was an excellent host! He makes you feel welcome in his home and is very easy to contact with questions about the area. The house provided plenty of room to spread out (we were travelling with four kids). The house was well stocked with kitchen tools, towels, and games for the kids but was not cluttered with knick-knacks that would make any parent worry about their children breaking personal or expensive items. I was worried that we were not within walking distance of the beach but it was a quick drive and since parking is free, you can come and go as you please. The thing we loved most was the area. The town is clean, the neighborhood is quiet, and everything you need is less than a five minute drive. If you prefer crowds, tourist activities, and nightlife Biloxi and Gulfport are a short trip down the road. We preferred the quiet beaches and lack of traffic in Long Beach.

Best location in Gulfport !!
Seriously the best Vrbo rental in Mississippi !! Ten out of ten ! Hospitality is impeccable and the rental was so welcoming and comfy and has all your essentials. John was just the kindest - greeting us at the house and showing us around. Answering all our questions , and so organized he had lists of all the things to do in the area. This was such a great help for us coming the Gulfport for the first time. Our puppy loved the yummy treats and toys plus our kids loved the gaming room it was everything on rainy day . If your looking for the great rental with good location , space , hospitality, and more in Gulfport Mississippi this is the one ! We look forward to another visit !!

I traveled here with my husband, 4 year old and 2 year old for the weekend. John was very hospitable and informative. He met us at the house (despite us arriving late), gave us a tour, and had lots of local activity and food suggestions. We would not have known about the Long Beach splash pad without his information — and my kids absolutely loved that. We also visited the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center which we all enjoyed.
The house was well stocked and very comfortable. I was appreciative of the coffee maker and half & half — and also enjoyed the screened in porch to have my coffee on. The movie room was great as well and we had a family movie night there. The game house was also awesome — my husband and I relived our childhood with Mario and Donkey Kong!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be checking back for this property next time we are on the gulf coast! Thanks for everything!

All around great property, and amazing property manager!
We were in Gulfport for our son’s WS baseball tournament. As many of you know, traveling for baseball can end up being a lot of long, busy, hot days, and in this case rainy days. It was so nice to come home, and actually feel at home, after our long days at the park. John greeted us at the property, and went over everything pertaining to the property and even gave us recommendations for our little bit of off time. This house has absolutely everything you could need, and it makes for an even better stay. The beds are great, the kitchen is great, the backyard is great.. I could go on and on! The kids (and adults) enjoyed the Gameroom, and other amenities. The weather didn’t really cooperate, but John (the weatherman) was able to give us a very accurate forecast, and checked on us the entire stay. I would recommend this property to everyone. If we are ever back in the area, this will definitely be our go to property! Thanks for everything, John!

Home away from home!
We had a great time. The weather was not so great but in spite of that we had a wonderful time. John is a great host. He met us at the house and went over all the things to do in the area. The property is well stocked and we had every thing we could possibly need. We did most of our cooking as the house but did order dinner our last night and had bite squad deliver. Our fur kids loved the back yard and the freedom of being in the house with us. Our little girl made great use of the dog bed provided on the rainy days. It was nice to sit out on the screened in porch watching our dogs play in the yard when the weather permitted. The neighborhood is very quiet and well kept. We are not gamers but the game shack would have really come in handy if we had two legged kids. You can bet we'll be back. John made us feel so welcome. Thanks John!

We choose the HangOut because it was pet friendly and it had a paved parking space for our 40' Class A RV. Our tow vehicle was kept in the covered carport.
Little did we know how important these features would be. Unfortunately it rained heavily everyday we were there, but our RV stayed high and dry and we could access our car via the dry carport area.
John was a fabulous host; his treat baskets were greatly appreciated. He provided great information for the local area and we did utilize his restaurant recommendations, especially the drive up Coastal Daiquiris.
The house itself was nicely aupdated and has every amenity you could require.
For those who cook, he has provided a spice/condiment cabinet. Unbelievably, we had no electrical outages during some horrific storms but the house is supplied with flashlights, batteries and a coal oil lamp and John checked on us.
The house itself is about a mile from the beach which suited us especially considering the amenities we sought; and we needed a home that was not on stilts as many of the beach homes must be.
Long Beach is a great pivotal point for the Gulf Coast with the new Mississippi Aquarium and the casinos to the East.
Our family enjoys history so during one weather break, we toured Beauvior which is near by; dispite your political views, it provides a excellent glimpse into history by way of the presidential library and the talents of Rob the house tour guide.
If you enjoy delicious bakeries and regional books, don't miss the tiny Pass Christian bookstore; you may need assistance accessing books located at the top of a sprial staircase. Pass Christian is home to many lovely coastal homes which have either miraculously survived hurricanes or have been reconstructed; they are beautiful to see along the Scenic Drive.
If you want to visit the bayou it is only a mile behind Pass Christian at DeLisle. Bay St Louis is on a point and has a party atmosphere with a cluster of zzrestaurants. Around the curve from there is Waveland which recieved the head-on impact of Hurricane Katrina; in fact as you drive down what is left of their Main Street, there is the Ground Zero Katrina Hurricane Museum.
For a easy drive of a bit over a hour down I-10 to NOLA don't miss the WWII Museum; reserve an early time slot because you will need the day to tour the museum. It's is an incredible tribute to the 'Greatest Generation'.
Thumbs up for the HangOut when you visit the MS Gulf Coast!
