Beach House with so Much CHARACTER
Ladies weekend was so relaxing at Ebbtide. a few steps to the beach, we were able to leisurely walk each day. The decor made you feel as if you went back in time to the cottage style of southern beach homes. The kitchen had plenty of supplies for us to cook in during our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Terrible experience
We had a very sudden tragic death in the family. The policy was clear, no refunds - but you did not allow nor agree to any other option. Including delaying the time. It was extremely inconvenient and uncaring. We figured out how to get a part of the family to the house, since it was extremely expensive and you were going to charge us the entire cost. Then the house was not in good order and when we reported it and you said you would contact us the next morning, no contact came. I have never had this bad experience with any house I or rental agency, and I have rented many.
The house was clean and nicely decorated and was in a nice neighborhood right by beach access.
But the electrical system was in very poor repair. The system constantly flickered on and off - in different areas across the house (this was definitely not general electrical outage in the area). This caused several fuses and switches to flip and we had to search them out. The chairs in the dining room were broken. The toilet handle in the main master bath fell off. The stove top was dirty and we had to clean it. The gas in the stovetop sputtered and seemed a bit dangerous. The track for the bottom drawer in the refrigerator was broken.
Do not recommend this property.

Peaceful Reunion
Love the property, layout and decor. My family gathered in honor of my mother. We had plenty of room to sit and enjoy our time together. Multiple family meals around the table. Beautiful beach access. Friendly residents next door. Short stay, but very worthwhile.

Fantastic place for a large group
The house was just the right mix of old and new, clearly an original beach cottage with renovations. Best equipped kitchen I’ve had in a beach house. Being right off the beach was one of the best parts—if it rained we came in and went back out when the storm was over. This was particularly helpful for the family with younger kids. One thing not explained in the listing unless you scour the floor plan—the layout of bedrooms on the main floor included one bedroom that could only be accessed by walking through another (or a shared bath). So that might determine who stays in which room. Also, the downstairs bedrooms (nice little apartment) can only be accessed from the main level by walking down steps and through the garage, which has an outside vibe because garage doors are just wood slats. The two bedrooms down there are small but nice with a shared “foyer” and bath with its own small fridge (and it’s own thermostat). Laundry room (another through-the-garage accessed room) has two sets of machines and another full fridge. There was a large gas grill, a smaller charcoal grill, plus a giant pot for seafood boil and an outdoor propane cooker, all of which we used. Like I said, very well equipped! Also nicely furnished/decorated, and my favorite spot was the glassed-in porch. So sunny and enough chairs for the whole group. Highly recommend!

Christmas 2020
House was great for our family Christmas! 17 of us staying together and the house was perfect. Kitchen was very well appointed for large family cooking! Beds were comfy, plenty of towels and a great neighborhood, 2nd house from the beach. We couldn’t get the overhead lights to work in the closed patio area and the downstairs shower did not drain well, but nothing major. We checked in Christmas Eve , so maintenance wouldn’t be able to come till after we left. But, I am sure they would have sent a maintenance person, had it been a major issue. We had a blast and want to go back during the summer. Thanks for a great stay!

July 2020 Stay
We loved staying at Ebbtide! The house was perfect. We had 16 members of our family together at Tybee. We had plenty of room for everyone and we were so close to the beach! We went back and forth multiple times per day. This was my third visit to Tybee Island. I would definitely rent from TVR again!

Great for celebrating a family event!
My best birthday ever, with family and friends on the beach in Tybee. Fun for all ages, and a warm home with plenty of room for us all to enjoy.
The property management is the best I have seen, with immediate response to any issue.

November 2017 Stay
I have to say I am beyond impressed with TVR and the staff. My family and I stayed in a rental home on Tybee Island the week of Thanksgiving. 12 adults. The house was perfect! We had a small problem, well really kind of urgent and on Thanksgiving night at close to 9pm, we noticed the refrigerator temperature was reading 57 degrees. Actually, upon our first night, we noticed the freezer stopped making ice but thought nothing of it. Perhaps 12 people were having too many glasses of water and the ice maker wasn't keeping up? We adjusted and got ice bags. Well, a couple things in the fridge had been noticed to have frozen over. Perhaps it should have been a sign but it became urgent after we noticed the fridge temp was steadily rising and would soon spoil our thanksgiving leftovers and more meals we had planned out for preparation during the week. I called the emergency number and surprisingly on thanksgiving night I actually got a call back within literally minutes! Kerrie was amazing. She provided a suggestion

Wonderfully Quirky and Perfect for a Gathering
Our families “met in the middle” between Mississippi and North Carolina at your beautiful beach cottage for the Thanksgiving holiday. Everyone adored the house, with its immense charm and labyrinth of uniquely decorated rooms. Quick access to the beach encouraged me not to skip my morning runs, and the well-supplied kitchen made all of our family meals - including the Thanksgiving feast - very manageable. Thank you for sharing it with us!
