About this cottage rental
"The views of the ocean right from your deck/living room/bedroom window will take your breath away immediately, and then you'll smile every morning waking up to seals on the rocks! " Guest review
The Gullhouse nestles in a secluded, intimate spot, rare on the popular Oregon Coast. The road ends in our driveway. Our guests love sitting in the hot tub (no neighbors other than the seals:) and watching the gulls, pelicans, bald eagles and magnificent gray whales, migrating 12,000 miles from Alaska to Baja and back. Many engagement, honeymoon and anniversary celebrations take place at the Gullhouse. (LGBTQ Friendly, some ACCESSIBLE amenities.)
FEATURES
You will marvel at this astounding ocean view from the living room sofa, the ocean bedroom and even the kitchen. At low tide you can see with your naked eye, orange and purple sea stars clinging to the exposed rocks, and a dozen seals resting on these rocks. You don't have to leave the Gullhouse to experience the beauty of the Oregon Coast and many of our guests don't!

Our teenagers had no problem with it, but for young children, there are 4 State Parks with easy beach access and parking for your vehicle within a 2 mile radius.
The Gullhouse is not baby-proofed, but we do have available a pack n'play, high chair, booster seat and room monitor.
ACCESSIBLE FEATURES
exterior doors 36" wide
low pile carpeting and hard surface flooring
interior bedroom door width 36"
bathroom door width 36"
handicapped sink
toilet with grab bars
low threshold shower - 2"
handheld shower wand
grab bars in shower
shower chair
What we do NOT yet have: solid surface parking, or an entry ramp. We have 5 steps into house.
A Note About Motorcycles:
The road ends in our driveway and offers spectacular privacy, but about 3 blocks away, the road becomes gravel. There is a significant hill into our block. In addition, we do not have either a carport or a garage where your vehicle can be parked.

The house was nice, clean, and wonderfully tucked in the trees, lots of privacy. We was a little disappointed that it wasn’t closer to the beach, but overall I would recommend it to someone who loves your privacy.

The full house was very clean. I did expect a house rather than a mobile wide. Everything we needed was there. Went beach combing. Had a great time on the beach.

Super relaxing stay. Well stocked. Close drive to a lot of beaches and other trails. Seal Rock town is not much, but Waldport & Newport aren’t far away. Hot tub was clean with ocean view and very private.

Our family loves the Gullhouse! There are so many thoughtful amenities in the home that it feels like home. It’s clear the owner truly cares and over the years the additions and changes are just great. We love the new mural! Thanks for letting us enjoy your property and we look forward to visiting again.

The Gull house is a Hidden gem on the Oregon Coast. Perfect location to visit communities up and down Hwy 101.

We love this place. It’s quiet and feels very secluded. There are trees and shrubs around the property so you don’t have a view into the neighbors place. The view of the ocean is spectacular.

The strength of this property is the ocean view and the spectacular sunsets in the evening.

Gorgeous relaxing view vacation
The gull house was excellent. Hot tub with views of the ocean! Lots of windows to see the sea! Comfortable beds in both bedrooms. Full kitchen for cooking meals, as well as lots of yummy restaurants near by. We had a wonderful time!

Gull house Review
Debi and Ron’s property was the perfect location on the North Central Oregon Coast. Super clean, best stocked kitchen of any VRBO I have stayed at, wonderful provided amenities like robes, shower soap/shampoo/conditioner and outstanding beautiful ocean views. The owners were very communicative and even warned us of a tsunami warning while we were there. They also provided plenty of information on local activities, sites, and activities. We would definitely rebook if we are in the area again!

RELAXING!
If you want a beautiful get-away, with the sounds of the ocean coming in through the windows, this is the place! So peaceful and satisfying. Great place to go without a schedule and with only resting on your agenda. I would love to return 100 times over! (I may have even gotten teary-eyed when we had to leave.)

Just what we needed!
We've stayed at many great vacation rentals, but this one hit all the marks. The place was clean, was stocked with pretty much everything you could think of, plus had a great ocean view...even from the hot tub! The owners stayed in contact with us throughout our stay to make sure any issues were addressed. Comfortable beds and furniture, well stocked kitchen...and again, the view! We'll be back!

Seal Rock in June
The Gull House was very clean, tidy and a home away from home. It is in a great location, with terrific views, quiet and privacy. Very nice place to take a relaxed vacation.

Great find
We have not had the best luck with VRBO but this home is a real gem.
The home was spotless…. As was the hot tub….Kudo’s to housekeeping !! The view is outstanding and the property is very private. It is our first time staying in the Seal Rock area and it is now our new favorite place! We are on our late 60’s and the path to the beach is a little “adventurous “ but we managed just fine. Already making plans to return to this home that is also very well equipped with everything you could want.

Beautiful Views Peaceful Location
This has been our favorite stay on the coast. The conveniences of our home on vacation. Everything we needed and could have imagined. The details, hot tub and fun trails from the property to the beach were fantastic. We plan on coming back!!

Perfect for anything
Seal Rock was perfect. My wife and I were there for a week that contained both joyous escape for a birthday and also some quiet moments reflecting on the anniversary of the loss of a loved one. Somehow, Seal Rock managed to be exactly what we needed for both. The location was excellent, just remote enough and still so quick to the beach. We brought plenty of things to keep us busy but found ourselves rockhounding all weekend instead! I was even able to get a little work done here or there without worrying about my connection or space to setup my computer... literally everything was thought of. So memorable. Thank you.

Perfect for our family of four!
Wow! This is an incredible homebase for exploring the area. We loved the short walk down to the beach. Tide pools were filled with sea stars, anemones, and crabs. Not many people on the beach at any time. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The kitchen was amazingly well-stocked. Beds, laundry facilities, and bathrooms, too. And, of course, the hot tub with an ocean view was an exceptional way to end the day. We would love to return some day! Well worth the trip from Wisconsin!

Paradise in privacy
A simple 8 mile drive to several supermarkets in Newport. Stocked up on steaks, shrimp, sides... the grill was easy to use and clean, the kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies.
We cooked every meal and enjoyed the view the entire stay, and what a view it is. The hot tub is private yet exposed to sunshine and the ocean - you see out, no one sees in.
My only advice for future renters is if your fair skinned like I am consider a strong sun screen and portable shade. Look for a shade umbrella for a chair and you’ll enjoy this paradise without hiding from the sun. Even with precautions the sun on our trip was so inviting I burned a little over 4 days so be careful and treasure the gift of a vacation at this wonderful location.
We had zero cares the most enjoyable week we can remember! There is no broadcast tv, cable, or satellite tv. The internet streams fine TV if you want, but we streamed music the whole time. We brought our own Bluetooth speaker and had it outside with us the entire time so I can’t say how well the in house blue tooth works we never tried it - it isn’t outside and I recommend bringing a speaker for outside.

Awesome!
We had a wonderful time. Couldn’t ask for more. Everything was as it said it was online. We have rented many properties on the Oregon coast and we would definitely rent this one again.

Perfect
Everything was perfect. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The house was one of the best stocked homes I’ve stayed in. The hot tub and view were perfect. The beds were so comfortable. It was amazing. I’d definitely re-book for future visits to the coast.

Terrific Views and very comfortable
This house is in a great location as most of the other reviews have stated. The house itself is very well stocked and furnished. Very comfortable beds and furniture. It was also a pleasure dealing with the owners. Great communication. I highly recommend Seal Rock to anyone who wants to explore that stretch of the Oregon coast. I give it my highest rating.

Secluded, Great Location
Modest but comfortable home was exactly as pictured. We had everything we needed. Private hot tub with view of the ocean was incredible. A bit of road noise, but easily lived with. The location of Seal Rock was central to everything we wanted to see. Rocky coastline to the south down to Florence with its beautiful historic bay front. Rocky coastline interspersed with long stretches of sandy beaches to the north. Loved Newport with the Clearwater restaurant overlooking rowdy sea lions on a floating dock. Also had a spectacular whale watching tour from the harbor . . . whales surfacing all around us with tails in the air. We also saw whales in Depoe Bay while dining in the Tidal Rave restaurant. Great vacation!

Beautiful home with beautiful views!
The house was perfect as a home base for my family as we went to the local beaches, lighthouses, and shops! We enjoyed coffee on the porch over looking the beach in the morning, and a glass of wine in the evening. We actually put the kids in the Master bedroom so we could have the ocean front room and since both have King beds, it was perfect!!

Our first impression when we arrived was just how perfect this blue home on the beach was perfect
After settling in a bit and we were able to look at something other that the perfect view of the ocean and beach below, we definitely noticed how much the owners cherish that house and I’m sure they wanted all guests to feel as they do because of the effort they put into the property inside and out. We were so comfortable and relaxed while feeling like we a place we both will return to as often as possible. Such a charming little secret home hidden from everyone and it was perfect. Out of all our trips to the coast this topped them all.
Thank you for allowing us to share you’re blue house on the beach.
