Place in Paradise - Kailua offers casual oceanfront accommodations on one of the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii. Kailua Beach has been voted "Best Beach in the United States" by a variety of publications. Five bedrooms and five and half baths make this an ideal home to enjoy on your next Oahu visit. Large outdoor deck spaces provide the perfect place to relax in the sun or enjoy a barbecue while taking in the breathtaking views of the Bay. Kailua Beach offers 3 miles of fine, soft white sand along a crescent shaped bay bordered by clear turquoise waters which have a consistent year round temperature of about 75 degrees F (25 C). The steady off shore trade winds, water temperature and protective reef make this bay a popular area for all sorts of water sports including Kayaking, Stand-Up Paddling, Surfing, Boogie Boarding, Swimming and Kite Surfing. The home includes a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and up-to-date appliances. A large living area features picture windows facing the sea in addition to a comfortable media room for entertainment.

With our clan of 11 which includes 5 grandsons this house is perfect of us. With its 5 bedrooms, each with its own full bath, family room, well stocked kitchen, indoor and outdoor eating areas, our awesome beach for the backyard and the athletic club a few doors down with a pool and basketball court, we couldn't ask for more. This is our 3rd time staying here. We did have some property issues but the customer service for any issues that arose was exceptional!!! Thank you, Lisa and Alia!!!

This home was perfect for our family of 9. The house had everything you could want or need, from the Kitchen to beach wants and needs. 2 washer and dryers-we couldn't imagine needed them, but we were surprised on how much we used. Kitchen had everything you could need or want to cook a full meal or enjoy a snack. Extra fridges to take care of the family. Beautiful sunrise enjoyed each morning. Perfect for morning walks on the beach. Beds super comfy - lots of room to spread out in the family areas. Our family enjoyed this home and you should too.

The pictures don't do it justice--this house is really spectacular. Most ideal setting with the beach, pool, and pickle ball courts just steps away, and so much space in the home that has beautiful furniture. Our combined families loved it! Everyone had comfortable bedrooms, really nice to have extra fridg/freezers, and double washing machines was great, too. Alia and Patty were excellent to work with and the house was spotless when we arrived. Definitely recommend!

Great attention to detail without being over the top. Delivers what you want in a vacation rental(plenty of beach towels, well equipped kitchen, tasteful decor, very comfortable).
We stayed with family and friends- immediately felt at home. Location is made for daily beach walk(or two). Town a close drive, and walkable grocery, restaurant and takeout places too. Local Hawaii strip mall places- with killer poke, musubi, garlic shrimp . . .

Beautiful location well maintain property, the primary kitchen refrigerator was not working properly and reeked of rotten fish and therefore was unusable. Due to recent storm and flooding the shore water was contaminated and brown the entire week we were there. Otherwise everything else was as advertised.

Place in Paradise was far beyond any of the many vacation rental we've ever stayed. We came to celebrate our 50th anniversary by bringing our 2 daughters, their husbands and our 2 teen grandchildren.This home provided the perfect backdrop to make and share forever memories.
Alia (prop mgr) met us at the home and introduced us all to the property. She presented us with a huge Hawaiian-themed food basket, which we worked on for several days! She also gave us her cell # to text for anything, and was quick to answer our questions. Alia was such a pro! With her recommendation, we had our 1st meal prepared and served by a great personal chef. What a great assist she was. It was a fabulous way to settle in!
A small brick sitting wall is all that separated the white sand beach from the back yard. We all spent hours on the beach enjoying the water as we swam and played with all the of beach equipment (boogy boards, chairs, umbrellas, etc). The home itself was big enough that everyone had their own room and bathroom for privacy. And the 2 large family rooms and outdoor patio areas gave space for time together. The spacious kitchen allowed several "cooks in the kitchen" and was stocked with great equipment and supplies. Even the knives were sharp! Both the indoor and outdoor dining furniture had plenty of size and seating for us all to sit, eat and laugh together.
We set out to make and share memories at Place in Paradise...and it was one for the books! Everyone should be so lucky.

This was our second time at Place in Paradise. Our multigenerational family truly loves the house and location. The layout allows each family to have their own space and we gather every evening for family dinner at the large dining room table. It provides easy access to the beach and all the equipment is available to use. We played pickle ball and used the pool some but mostly enjoyed the beach and the waves. Although it was windier than usual, we walked the beach and rode the waves everyday. Alia and Lisa took care of all our needs quickly. We would love to come back again!

Our family of 10, including grandkids and grandparents, absolutely loved our week here. The layout of the house worked great for us. We enjoyed walking the beach every day. Our favorite was eating on the patio outside and hearing the ocean. Alia was fantastic to work with whenever we had a question or minor issue. Also-we had an awesome experience with a local private chef who ended up coming to the rental and making meals for us while we were there. I can't recommend him enough. So affordable and friendly. Located on a private quiet street, my family and I were so very lucky to find this wonderful property. You could not ask for anything more. We were within steps of the beach. The balconies and the view from the grounds were calming and delightful. And then there was ready access to a pool and athletic courts.There was a large kitchen with an ample sized dining room, two living spaces, and bedrooms with baths to accommodate all twelve of us.The bedding and blankets were wonderful. There were more than enough towels for our use as well as for the beach. The outside was well kept and fully furnished with several different areas to sit, relax, and have a meal.Restaurants and grocery stores were just minutes away and made meal preparation very easy. The management team was attentive and provided all the information we needed well in advance of our stay. I give this property a five-star rating and intend to make a second trip happen very soon.

We totally enjoyed our stay! It was our second time and we have already booked it again for next year. You are minutes always from shops, restaurants, snorkeling, and golf courses, yet have the serenity of being on a private drive. All 5 bedrooms have their own bath and the floor plan is great for large groups. We had 11 of us. The beach is fantastic and just steps away. The club, just a few houses down, was great for the kids for a change of pace with a pool, basketball court and pickle ball. We did have a few minor issues with the house and Alia and her team were on it immediately and couldn’t do enough to make everything right!

We chose Place in Paradise for a family vacation to bring our children and grandchildren together from Maryland and California. The house did not disappoint! It was so spacious and we loved being right on the beach. The views were spectacular and the sunrises were gorgeous! And the manager was extremely nice and helpful, they made sure every bathroom had shampoo and hair conditioner, this level of service is increasingly hard to come by nowadays.

We had 10 family members to celebrate a graduation on the island and could not have been more pleased with the space, privacy of the five bedrooms giving everyone their own space and vast amount of beautiful get-together spaces. Gourmet kitchen was fully stocked for amazing family dinners every night, easily saved us $300 each meal. Interior design and finishes very high end, luxury hotel quality. Staff was available 24/7 for anything but frankly nothing needed. Abundant beach towels and beach chairs and toys all the including boogie boards, surf boards, floatation toys, sunscreen bug spray, aloe-- nothing was left out for a luxurious, comfortable stay right on the shores of Kailua beach. Best memory, falling to sleep and waking to the sight and sounds of the gentle waves just a few yards away!

Our family of 13 including 3 generations ranging from 6 to 70 had such a wonderful week here in Kailua. The location is perfect! The beach is just out from the backyard with easy access. The home was equipped with everything we needed for the kitchen and plenty of beach chairs, toys and snorkeling gear for fun at the beach. The home is spacious with comfortable gathering areas and generous size bedrooms. We would definitely stay again!

This classic home has such a well thought-out floor plan. Each of the five well-furnished bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom on the second floor was a personal favorite: opening the balcony door and the windows brought in the fresh sea breeze. The well-provisioned kitchen has a layout that made food preparation efficient. The home is conveniently located and is a few minutes' drive to restaurants, Foodland, Whole Foods, and Safeway for any items that might have been missed. There are many places within the property that guests may choose to be in a group or be by themselves. The home truly provides a wonderful way to experience Kailua.

My family and I had such an amazing time together at this beautiful beach home. From checking in the first day to checking out everything was great. Management was very professional, helpful and nice. We felt so welcomed when first arriving with a very sweet welcome basket with amazing snacks and yummy local fruit! The layout of the home and rooms worked perfectly for our family where everyone had their own private and bathroom. The home was very clean when we arrived. One of the great perks of this home is that each room has an air conditioner which is very rare in a beach home! The home is literally steps from the beach where we would take long walks often to throughout the day! The dining table was perfect which allowed us as a large family to spend many meals together eating, laughing and just enjoying each others company. The home is is also very kid friendly and since we went around the holidays we were pleasantly surprised with a gorgeous Christmas tree in the living room which made the home even more homier and festive! We highly recommend this home and will definitely look forward to hopefully come back!

The photos of the property are great, The actual property is super fantastic. Enough room for families of all age groups and sizes to spread out and relax. Well appointed in every aspect. Beach toys, beach equipment and beach towels all provided!
I cannot say enough. We came to bring my fathers ashes back to Hawaii and to revisit where our children were born and we lived for almost 15 years. It was wonderful seeing my children frolick in the surf with their children. The little ones enjoyed the sand and shoreline as well. I was totally pleased with our stay.

A truly dreamy stay on what very well may be the most beautiful beach anywhere. We were walking out the door and taking sunrise dips and moonrise swims. Aloha,Place of Paradise at 824 N Kalaheo Ave in nothing short of a real Paradise. We were there for a week and its has to be one of the best place on earth we have ever lay our eyes on, the house was perfect with majestic view of Oneawa beach, Kailua Bay in every room, the beach are stone throw away from the house, which has the crystal clear water and perfect wave for short board and surfing which the house provide all the necessity for a day of fun on the beach. Even tho the house is far from downtown Wikiki but the house provide one of the most equip kitchen I have ever seen from a grain of salt right down to a rice cooker! With a bonus bartending area with fully equip cocktails equipment to an ice maker machine, with all said and done it is a must visit and stay place in Honolulu, Hawaii. Would definitely recommend any one that will come and stay at Place in Paradise from all the pieces of my heart, you will have the best time of your life ever! Mahalo!!!Sent from my iPhone

Well suited for a large group looking to relax and enjoy all the beach has to offer. Killer sunrises on a clean, wide beach with very few beach goers on the weekday, and minimal on the weekends. Easy drive to Honolulu, but found Kailua and Kaneohe had everything we needed for convenience and dining out. One bedroom’s wall AC wasn’t cooling, so property manager had a in-room R2D2 style AC placed, which was a little loud and cooled less well, but a was good substitute in a pinch. Also, be aware of loose high riding tiles on the patio, and a sneaky low lying root/stump on path to the beach… tripped us up a couple of times, could be hazardous for elderly or imbibers. Would definitely rent again. A winner.

Our family of 7 adults and 7 children spent a week at this home in July 2022. It was pretty close to perfect for our group. If is about 100 yards from a lovely and uncrowded white sand beach. At least at this time of year, the water is warm and the waves are gentle, which was perfect for the children in our group. The house is well-equipped with beach gear, and the views (especially from the upstairs bedrooms) are remarkable. We liked that location. It's close to Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, etc. And drive up to Laie (less than an hour) and go the Polynesian Cultural Center, which was a real highlight. That's enough. We had a marvelous time. We hope to come back again some day.
