Great staff. Beautiful views and beautiful property. Areas to sit inside and out. There is a shared kitchen that you can use. My only suggestion would be to book a room with it’s own bathroom. We didn’t the first time we stayed and ending up sharing the bathroom with the upstairs guests. It wasn’t horrible, just not what we expected. This time we stayed in the downstairs room that has its own private bathroom and it was much more confortable for us.

Very unique vrbo. Definitely would stay here again! I would chose the Aviator room for a bit more space.

Really enjoyed our stay and all the available amenities. The hosts were friendly, and the room was very comfortable. The only issue we had was that there weren’t any hooks to hang our skiing clothes in the room or bathroom. Other than that everything went perfectly

Traveling alone x3 days so did not need a whole house. This was a private bedroom and bathroom in shared home. Access to fridge ( and kitchen- but I didn’t cook). Nice yard. Very clean. Great location in Parowan with easy access to Petroglyphs, hiking ( valentine peak), cedar Breaks national monument, Bryan Head resort. Very quant small town ( beware- almost nothing open on Sunday). Hosts were great. Place well worth the cost (very reasonable fees especially for shorter stay). There is a very affectionate outdoor cat- we made friends! Thanks Scott, I may return.

A quick overnight in Parowan
Found this room last minute when we were trying to find accommodations in nearby Cedar City. Tacit Shadow "Shangri-La" showed it was available. I booked the room, as it showed it could accommodate 4 people. I stayed here with two of my children, so there were only 3 of us that stayed overnight.
Booking was simple. The owner was quick in his replies to my booking and then text messages we exchanged. There was some confusion on the actual address, as it would not pull up in Google maps, but I was sent the valid address via text along with a link for directions. This helped us find our way to the property without issue.
Upon arrival, there were several men in the kitchen area cooking dinner. I thought they may be the owners, but they were not. One man directed us to the room I had booked when I asked where we were to go. Once inside the room, the scent of the meal the men in the kitchen was heavy in the air, so I opened the double doors to allow fresh air inside and did so for awhile before the scent dissipated. There were two cats immediately outside our room, and once we opened the door to air the room out, one cat promptly came inside and tried to walk around. I am highly allergic to cats and had to shoo it outside quickly.
We set up beds for the night. Things got cramped space-wise. The king bed takes up the center of the room space, so I placed the 2 tri-fold mattresses on both sides of the bed. This left little room to maneuver about once set up in this fashion, leaving only a small area along the foot of the bed to move. There is nowhere to sit in the "Shangri-La" room other than on the king bed itself, as no chairs are in the room. If you want to sit somewhere, one must exit the room entirely via the double doors & onto the patio to find chairs available there.
The extra mattresses were spotted & stained in a few places that I saw. I used both sets of packaged/sealed sheets to place on the mattresses, & the provided blanket, pillow, & pillow case. My kids fell asleep quickly on their tri-fold mattresses, yet I found the king bed too firm & uncomfortable for my liking, even for a pillow top. I did not sleep well at all, unfortunately.
The bathroom was clean & orderly. The shower is very narrow, which made for a tight fit.
Overall, this is a nice room. If I were to stay here again, I may choose a different room if I had the same number of people just for added space. The "Shangri-La" will fit 2 people comfortably, in my opinion.

Feels family home!!!
Host was very welcoming and entertaining. Very courteous. I'd go here again. It's one of a kind of property in middle of a nice little town. You'll feel like part of their family 😊. Thank you, Scott and family for hosting me.

It was hard to find at first because the address took us to a different place but they were able to accept our call and help us out even though it was late. Very respectful and happy people.

Great place in Southwest Utah
It is a wonderful home base for all of your excursions in Southwest Utah. It feels like you are staying at a friend's house. The room is huge, the bed is big, everything is clean. The shower is walk-in. Much better than a hotel. You can make coffee in the kitchen and eat your breakfast there. The host lets you use all common rooms, the BBQ in the backyard, and whatever else you need to make your stay perfect.

It was a delight
The hosts were great and warm and accommodating. We didn’t get to spend too much time there because of the nature of our visit to this area but what we did see was very fun and welcoming. Would stay here again

Ski trip stay
This is a large house "resort" in parowan that worked well for us as a cheap option for housing while skiing at brian head. I dont feel the description is completely forthcoming as there is a family that lives in the basement of the house that manages the property. It seems the kitchen is their family kitchen. My family did not mind, it provided a unique social atmosphere that felt like staying in a family home. They were very and quiet throughout our stay and patient with my family. Their hospitality was amazing. Just be aware the only private area will be your room. We would stay here again.

*****READ PRIOR TO BOOKING*****
When the description says “staff is on-site 24/7” It’s a family that lives in the house and basement with many teenage kids. They sat and watched us and listened to all our conversations anytime we were in the kitchen or living area. One of the teenage boys even entered one of the rooms we rented without knocking on the door while one of us were changing. The quiet times were listed from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. They were up past 10 and awake at 6:00 am making a lot of noise in the kitchen. One night they arrived home past 11 pm from a concert at Brianhead and continued to make a lot of noise. The floors were not swept and very dirty. They put a sign on the dishwasher saying it was broken, but the family living in the home used it the entire weekend. We made sure we cleaned everything we used in the kitchen area as the listing said that was one of the amenities we could use, however one of the men in the family told us we need to clean up everything as we had barely sat down to eat dinner. Very uncomfortable stay due to not knowing we would be enjoying our weekend with strangers and teenagers unbeknownst to us as guest. The good things I can say, are that the beds and bedding were clean and organized for us.

Nice property
The room was clean, but there were a few storage bins in the room. The room opens out onto a large deck which is nice. I stayed there to hike at Bryce Canyon. It’s a nice room that’s cost effective if 1-2 people are looking to stay in the area for a few days. The room is near the kitchen, so noise was a bit of an issue but I just put in my ear buds for the white noise I need anyway :) It was also Halloween so I understood there was more activity than usual. Overall, I would stay here again.

Amazing hospitality
Scott and his family were very accommodating, exceptionally courteous, and professional. They went the extra mile for my daughter and myself and I literally felt as comfortable as I would in my own home. I plan on making future visits to this property.

Great place! Perfect locaion.
This king size room is located on the main (bottom) floor. It is Tacit Shadow was just the right distance away to attend the wedding and still get back to a peaceful room after the festivities.
Scott, the owner is quick to respond to questions. Someone in my party left a make-up bag that was noticed during cleaning and he notified me right away and discussed several options on how to return it to its owner. That's just plain honest!! I highly recommend this room & property.

My family and I enjoyed our stay
Our room was ready early, it was clean and we appreciated the private bath and comfy bed after a long day of skiing. My son was granted military leave to join us for the New Year holiday at the last minute so Scott and his team were very accomodating and we appreciate it immensely. The kitchen was well equiped and large enough to share with the other house guests who were all so pleasant and lots of fun. Plus, the housekeeping team especially Aimee was so sweet and lovely. Our stay was one of the most enjoyable family get togethers we've had and we can't thank you enough for allowing us all to stay in your home.
