Fancy Free was the perfect spot for our vacation at Deep Creek Lake. The house has everything one could possibly need for a relaxing week. The house is very spacious and well maintained. We will return next year!

We stayed here labor day weekend to attend a wedding in the area, and a short mini vacation from home. It was plenty of space for a party of 10. The house was beautiful and maintained. It was a nice opened concept. The kitchen was stocked with a lot of extra appliances. The basement had an extra living room that the kids hung out at. We rented a boat for the weekend, and was able to keep at the property since there was a dock. I would definitely recommend renting this place.

Awesome place
Lake front but would be hard to swim off shore. There is a community dock right to the left of the backyard. House was awesome. Huge kitchen with tons of appliances. We did see bears trying to get in the garbage bin so just keep an eye out. Overall we had an amazing time and for sure would go back

Great time with all the family for Christmas
Loved the property. It was perfect for our family of cooking eating. The kitchen size was awesome and very well equipped. Only small issue was the night before our arrival the area utilities backed up in the laundry room. This overflowed into the carpet in the family room in the basement. The rental agency had servicepro come in and vacuum up the water, sit up blowers and a dehumifier. The equipment was noisey and everyone had to wear shoes otherwise their socks got wet from the wet carpet. All of this caused the maid service to be running behind so we were delayed in getting in the house. Otherwise a great property with the hot tub and fire pit. We will consider this house again for future Christmas vacations.

Nice large place. Huge well equipped kitchen. Hot tub, sauna and fire pit were nice. Needs some fixing up and TLC. Gas fireplace stopped working part way through weekend . But we had a good time. Snowed the morning we left, which was beautiful.

Family Fun
The property and home are beautiful. We had enough space for everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed. The sauna and hot tub were a nice bonus. The inside of the house was immaculate and had more amenities than noted on the description. For instance, the property has two kayaks, a wide variety of board games, books, and movies. The kitchen provides all needed dish ware and cooking items. The kids loved the pool table. A few suggestions: replace the sofa bed mattresses (they are extremely thin and uncomfortable), put towels and sheets in plain view in all areas, provide additional pillowcases and blankets, and clean off the porch leaves before people check-in. Overall, our trip was amazing and the home was big enough for four families. I would highly recommend this property. We will be back soon.

The house was fantastic, and dog friendly! The quiet cove was exactly what we were looking for. There are neighbors nearby, but it still felt private. Everything in the kitchen was perfectly clean. I didn't feel like I need to clean the pan or rinse the utensil before using it. We will definitely be back.

Lovely and beautiful
Home was lovely and spacious. Outdoor fire pit was well done. House is right in the water. So it was easy to slip kayaks into the lake. Kitchen was well stocked and larger than expected. Nice coffee machine and espresso machine. Quiet end of the lake. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Hot Mama Mafia annual trip
The main space (open LIVINGROOM/ Diningroom) was perfect for our group to have options to hang out but, still be with the whole group (14)... the space is gracious and well-maintained and decorated. The sauna did not work which was disappointing as it was a draw along with the hot tub. The number of bedrooms was ok but will probably keep up from rebooking as several people slept on the sectionals. Our group has 13 people.

The rugs were filthy and the downstairs had fleas. My dog is treated with Adnantix monthly. He had a serious reaction to a flea bite. I asked for the rugs to be cleaned and was told that evening or the next day. No one ever cleaned. I spent hours cleaning that house so my grandson could crawl on the floor without getting filthy. I am totally disappointed!

The carpet in the master bedroom is in horrible condition with stains everywhere. not inviting. Water leak over over the patio doors on the first floor living room, leaking through upper window.trash over the embankment behind the house.This was our third and final stay.

The house is beautiful and I loved the location it was very private. The staff was great and responded fast to all questions. It was stocked with everything we could have needed and more. Thank you for allowing our fur babies to share the experience with us. There was so much room and every coach had a bed inside wich really allowed us to spread out. So there are 4 bedrooms plus 4 couch beds! The only thing I did not enjoy was the water smell. However, with it being well water and on the lake there is nothing that can be done about that.

This was the perfect location for our family of four plus one dog. It’s at the end of a cove, so was very quiet with little boat traffic and the perfect spot to go kayaking. The rental is in a very quiet neighborhood located in a back cove from the main lake. It was very relaxing as we didn't have to deal with the boat traffic from the main lake. We even had the pleasure of having a bear and her cub walk through the yard. Having direct access to the boat slip was great for our kayaks and for lounging on the lake. The house had some issues that I wouldn't have expected for the price that we paid. The A/c required major repairs our first day there, the area rugs are stained, one of the bedroom doors was broken, the kitchen wasn't cleaned thoroughly and the lower deck needed to be cleaned. The house doesn't sleep 16 as the two sleeper sofas are absolutely horrendous and should be replaced. None of this took away from our overall experience as we all had a great time and will visit the lake again in the future.

The water after the dry summer was extremely shallow in the inlet. It made it difficult to get the boat into the dock and out. There were several minor maintenance issues (Loose handle, bulbs out type of thing) which we made Taylor-Made aware of. They had a maintenance person out quickly to attend to these. Unless someone reported these items they would have had no idea as to the problem. We would love to return someday. This house was 300% nicer than our previously rented location in Deep Creek. The two master suites are large enough to hold 3 bedrooms in each one! There were plenty of towels, kitchen appliances and dishware. More than our group of 12 would ever have dreamed of using! Games, Sauna, hot tub, movies. Oh and a total of 6 televisions! We parked 4 large trucks and two trailers easily in the large circular drive. This alone is a unique asset to this property! If you go watch for deer on the shore line at dusk, they are regular visitors easily seen from the deck.

Did end up buying a dust pan as we could not find one, and needs a better broom for quick clean up. Great kitchen, well stocked with everything you could need. I would recommend a bigger dishwasher. I also would recommend more comfortable deck furniture - the wooden chaises could really use some cushions. Overall a great experience - thank you!

Our primary issue was that the kids like to swim and fish at our site, but the location was rather poor for clean swimming and requires a fair walk to get to a beach where it seems good to do so. Deep Creek Lake is a wonderful place to vacation and we are looking forward to vacationing there again. Overall we liked the house and Taylor-Made was good to work with. The house had a nice layout for our three families, was well stocked (games, books, DVD’s kitchen), and was located on a nice quiet cove with little wake and boat traffic. There were several negatives about the house which will put us in search of another property: 3 of the bedrooms are located in the basement. It was damp and cold and smelled like a basement (needs a good dehumidifier). The house also needed a really good thorough cleaning and inventory check of broken items, missing cables and remotes. We were also disappointed to see waist high weeds, two decks that needed to be swept and bottles/broken glass on the property. The lot that the house is situated on is very wooded and though it is lakefront there is only minimal view of the water during the summer months. It is quiet, shaded and private (all positive), but we personally would want a little more of a water view next time around.
