This condo is three stories. Two bedrooms and one bathroom are at the entry level, upstairs is the third bedroom, second bathroom and the kitchen/ living areas. The third story is a mostly empty loft which we all thought seemed haunted.
The pool is walking distance. The walks are hilly but easy if you’re fit. We did the par course which is actually a hike, about 1.8 miles.
The condo was clean. There were some dings/dirt on the walls that could use some repair but the bathrooms and kitchen were clean.
The kitchen had everything for cooking. There were some spices. The stove is electric. The water in the sink gets very hot.
The pool here is huge and relatively clean. The hot tubs were nice.
The recreation center smelled bad of musty mildew, we couldn’t wait to get out of there.
Our first day at the condo we saw a bear.
The biggest issue was the uncomfortable beds. The bedroom upstairs has a very firm, hard mattress. The pillows weren’t great. The two downstairs bedrooms were a bit better but not much.
There’s no A/C.
The teenagers were annoyed that the walk to the pool was “far”.
The condo had a musty smell that I think most lake houses have.
The cabinets were old and crusty. The carpet dingy. The living room rug was old and dirty. The living room chairs and couch need replacing. They are dirty and worn out.
Cable TV was spotty and cut out a lot.
All in all, we wouldn’t stay here again. I think for the price you can find something a bit nicer.

We were generally happy at this property. The townhouse was clean. However, there were barely any supplies like soap, no shampoo or extra paper towels. Because it was a holiday weekend, we had to Instacart these supplies, if we had known we would have packed our own. There was also a bear getting into the garbage every morning, very early, outside our bedroom window.
The 'check in' process with the management company was a bit arduous because they sent different docusign documents within a short amount of time to sign.

The unit was everything as advertised. We would stay there again. The only thing we did not like is that the community clubhouse and pool are closed on Sunday, which we did not know.

Although Carnelian Woods is a wonderful place to stay, this unit was not up to the pictures we saw. Still, any day in Tahoe is a great day.

Great Location
Super location, short walk to the lake. Enjoyed the pool. There is no BBQ for guests to use at the lodge and the home has no BBQ - so don’t plan on that. No spices or anything of that nature, must buy or bring. Very nice condo - would have no problem returning

Ta-Whoa!
This place was between very touristy spots so the beach and resaurants were easy to get spots at and all walkable.
Easy to get to from Reno. Lake water was cold but enjoyable.
I will be back.

Great cabin!
Very pretty and cozy hut, with a decent set of reasonably sized bedrooms, and an airy loft. Somewhat excessive use of emails and mandatory replies during the booking process, but well organized and easy to find your way to/around in.

Not really a hot tub available as advertised
The recreation building only opens the hot tub 2 days a week ( weekends) . We were then mostly mid week and the hot tub was not available. On the Sunday they would not let us use the tub as there were already too many people using it. As a result on of the main reasons I chose this location did not really have the feature I felt I paid a premium for to have. As a result I would not stay here again

Tidy and perfect size
Loved this property! Plenty of space for our group and it was so clean inside! Highly recommend this place.
Parking lot was full one of the nights, which wasn’t ideal - only flaw.

Great little spot!
The property was great for our family of 7. Walking distance to the lake. The community pool and center were great, but we didn't use it much as we were at the lake most of the time.
I would recommend the property to other families.

Relaxation and Adventure
The location was great for our family. The Lake, Magic Carpet golf and CB's Bistro were walking distance. Truckee and Tahoe City were only a 20 to 15 minute drive. We enjoyed relaxing, mini-golfing, rafting & Tree top adventures.
Overall we only had two complaints:
1. Mattresses are Too Firm - we all had trouble sleeping on them. A few nights I had to sleep on the couch because my back hurt.
2. Locals were rude and impatient. It almost seemed like they were not use to being a tourist town.
We had a great time overall. The location is central to many things. We are glad we got to visit Lake Tahoe, but we probably won't return.

Enjoyed our stay
This was a very nice condo in a convenient and quiet location. The kitchen and bathrooms are mostly updated, although the light fixtures and cabinets look to be original (probably 30+) years old. It met all our needs for my family of four. The place was clean, the beds were good quality, and there were plenty of linens, paper products, etc.

I had to wash everything I used before i use it. Not sure what it was, i'm thinking some kind of residual from the dishwasher. Not ok!The house is very outdated. All the appliances were older. The couch is nice but you can't sit with all the family because those two lovely red chairs are only foe for person and they are not confortable. They need a better coffee table too. Those two things are wobbly and not functional. Overall was ok. I don't think I would stay here again.

Loved almost verything about this rental. Two things we didn’t love but one is out of the owners control. 1. It was very hot and there was not AC (typical of Tahoe) but possibly could have used a couple of more fans, especially for the loft. The fact they had a couple of fans stored was awesome. 2. The mattresses were very very firm, but firm is MUCH better than old and saggy.Otherwise it was great! Super super clean, the BEST supply of bath towels of any rental I’ve stayed in (plenty for the capacity of 8).Everything was easy to use and in great condition! Would definitely recommend.

Overall a great experience. I was hesitant booking with First Accommodations due to some poor google reviews, but dealing with them changed my mind. Very professional and very responsive.
Location of this property could not be better - walk to the lake, park, pool, stores...just great.
Cannot however give 5 stars and say property was spotless, due to dusty furniture in one of the bedrooms and a huge piece of marble countertop we noticed under the bed? Made me question how well the cleaning crew had actually cleaned the carpets and furniture during COVID.
Again, management was great and location was awesome. WE really did enjoy our stay.

Great, cozy property, good location for Northstar skiing
This house was great for our needs -- 7 friends hanging out for a ski weekend at Northstar. Really convenient location (by the lake, close to Safeway, gas station, Tahoe Dave's for rental needs, 20 minutes to mountain). We had a TON of snow, and the roadways were always plowed and walkways to apartment always cleared out which was much appreciated. House was warm, plenty of blankets, etc.
Tip - follow the map they provide and not google maps to get there. Way easier to use their map.
One request -- stock more paper towels, dish soap, basic spices (salt/pepper) and some shampoo/conditioner/soap. This is usually standard for rented homes and was a noticeable frustration among our friends to have to buy salt and pepper, olive oil, dish soap, paper towels and garbage bags... we barely used those supplies (maybe 1/5 of it) but still had to buy the whole thing because we needed it in the house. We ended up leaving all of those there for the next tenants so they didn't have this problem. Seems like an easy fix for the owner to really make this a better stay / make it feel like a "home away"

Perfect for our group of 6
Very happy with our choice for a 3 day ski trip in the Tahoe area. Pros - location close to 3 major ski resorts, comfortable beds, spacious family room and dining table, cons - no bbq grill, smallish kitchen. Otherwise we loved the unit and will stay again in the further

Very cool house
The house was very clean and comfort as same as the pictures. However, we had issues with the hot water, because we were 8 people and just the first one in each bath could take a shower with hot water. Also, the professional which works at night in the recreacional center was very rude all the time. Overall I recommend this house.
