About this apartment rental
This condo is located at Plantation Village in a great location on Seven Mile Beach.
December 2019 Update – Due to recent weather and storms in Cayman, the beach at Plantation Village has been narrowed. To accommodate, extra chairs have been added to the two pools areas. Snorkling is still a great activity to do in this location. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have, and hope that the beach continues to return.
Everything you need is within easy walking distance.
The condo has just been completely updated and upgraded with a brand new kitchen including stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and even a wine fridge. You'll also find new furniture throughout the condo. We have just purchased this condo and have furnished it for our own use but also to share with others who love visiting Cayman.
The Master has a king size bed, direct access to the ocean view patio and an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower. The second bedroom also has a king size bed and direct access to the shared main bathroom. The third bedroom is beautifully decorated with Pottery Barn sailor furnishings, two twin beds and also two 'hidden' trundle twin beds so comfortably sleeps 4.
The Resort boasts two pools - one large pool with a sea view and an even larger pool with beautiful features. There is also a lighted tennis court, plenty of green space and Plantation Village is the only complex on Seven Mile to boast a playground. Plantation Village also has kayaks and bicycles for your use - both free of charge! There are also 2 grilling areas for use on the grounds with large Weber gas grills.
Many details have been taken into consideration to help you to feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the basics as well as some nice extras such as a coffee maker, set of wine glasses, serving dishes and knife block to name just a few. There is high quality bedding and towels to ensure you are comfortable in all aspects. We also want you and your valuables to feel secure so you will find a safe in the condo.
We are completely prepared for your little ones - crib, highchair and beach toys, and tennis racquets to keep them busy. The main bathroom has a tub and shower, which is often helpful for families travelling with kids.
This condo is in a great location! You can snorkel directly in front of the complex and access all other watersports (jet-skiing, parasailing, banana boat, kayaking, etc.) by taking a short walk to Marriott hotel.
A visit to Cayman isn't complete without a visit to Stingray City. Tour operators will pick you up at the condo to take you to Stingray City or Scuba Diving. Also, within walking distance is Cayman's newest development, Camana Bay, where you will find the cinema, shops, restaurants, and a nice treat of ice cream or frozen yogurt. Our condo is also on the bus route for easy access to downtown George Town or Hell and the Turtle Farm in West Bay. The closest supermarket is about a 15 minute walk or 3 minutes on the bus. Walk one way and bus home.
Please note, we usually require Saturday to Saturday rentals for this condo. However, some months we can be flexible with this. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your possible dates.
We hope that you will fall in love with our condo and Cayman as we have!

Our stay at Plantation Village was perfect! Very comfortable stay just as described. Our checkin and check out was super easy and the condo has everything you need to enjoy Grand Cayman. The book of suggestions was super helpful in making dining decisions and booking tours. The Snorkeling right off shore has a ton to see. We love Coconut Joes for breakfast and dinner which is super convenient to the condo. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you to the owners for being a great hosts!

We loved our stay there. The condo was perfect. The location was amazing. Tiny beach which we were very aware of but excellent snorkeling right there. The condo is close to everything. The condo information book has every little bit of information that you could possibly need to know. The condo is equipped with everything you need which makes packing and traveling easier. We loved our stay there and will return.

Spring Break trip with the family. Great accommodations, clean, comfortable beds, has everything you need. Beautiful view of the ocean from the patio or the living room couch. Condo perfect location- walking distance to restaurants and other resorts. Airport is 10 minute drive- I would not recommend renting a car if you are staying for a week- taxi or walking is a great option. Overall beautiful condo and place to visit- perfect weather every day. Water is so clear.

We were delighted with our stay! Great screened porch, comfortable beds, coffee, laundry detergent, beach towels, shampoo, and all the appliances for a festive getaway! Facilities provided kayaks ( new seats needed for several) paddle boards, delightful pools, excellent location. The beach front is nonexistent but hop a wall, walk around, or rough it during low tide allows you access to the beach. We hope to return.

Great home, great location but the beach has been washed away and the picture in the listing do not depict this. Again the beach is mostly washed away, the pictures are outdated. I will say the home itself was great, neighbors were nice with the exception of the potheads directly below making breakfast on the patio questionably desirable. Parking was convenient.

We had a lovely stay here - good value. We were walking distance to shops and restaurants but it was still quiet enough. The condo was clean and provided all the amenities. Our plane arrived prior to check-in time at the condo but were still permitted to check in - thanks for that Trinda. Indeed, the beach at the facility was eroded due to the recent hurricane but we still enjoyed it nonetheless. Water was clear and warm. Good spot to admire the sunsets. Suggest water shoes here as it can be rocky & not always pleasant stepping on the seaweed. We took advantage of the facility kayaks and paddleboards as well as the 2 clean pools. Thank you for a great stay.

We had a lovely stay at Plantation Village. The owners had many thoughtful touches like beach towels, laundry detergent, coffee and some toiletries. The kitchen was very well stocked. The condo is cute and roomy with very comfortable beds and bedding and is situated with a nice view of the water. The condo is showing some wear and tear and looks like it could use some freshening up but is otherwise perfectly pleasant. As others have mentioned, the beach is tiny with little shade in spite of a few umbrellas. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas by the pool. To walk the beach you have to walk on the sea wall and in the water which can be a little rocky. You have to walk a little beyond the Marriott to be able to walk on uninterrupted beach. It doesn't take away from the beauty though. Grand Cayman is a gorgeous island and Plantation Village is in a perfect spot, within walking distance to multiple restaurants and shopping.

Lots of toys for children but way too much clutter in all the closets. Good location and good overall property.

Our trip to Grand Cayman was amazing! This condo is perfectly situated for walking to restaurants, shopping, and beaches. We enjoyed a beautiful and peaceful view of the water each morning from the screened porch while having coffee. It is well equipped with everything we needed and the response to any questions was addressed immediately. Highly recommend Grand Cayman and this condo. We'll be back!! Thank you!!

Our family of 5 had a great week. Comfortable property, everything you need. There is a small area of sandy beach at the condo, otherwise you can walk/swim to sandy beaches on either side of the property. We rented a car to explore the island and glad we did.

The property was perfect for a family wanting to get away. It's location was convenient to restaurants (within walking distance) for both breakfast and dinner. The condo itself was roomy and did not feel cramped (6 people total). Great value for the money.

This is likely the best vacation rental we’ve ever had. Beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds. Outfitted with all needs in mind. We would definitely stay again. My only warning is that there is no beach at this condo. We were 7 able bodied adults so walking to another beach was fine but not sure that would work with children, the elderly or disabled. Other than that is was perfect!!

Amazing location!!
We had a wonderful stay with family at Plantation Village. You cannot beat the location and the views!! One thing I would have loved to see are bath mats in the bathrooms as the tile floors get very slippery when wet. Otherwise it was everything we could have asked for!!

Wonderful week
We had such a great week! It was so nice being able to walk right outside with our kids. Beautiful property and location! We walked to snorkel every day at the Marriot and walked to dinners nightly. We will be back!

Plantation Paradise
We have stayed at PV in the past and this was an incredible property with a beautiful view of the water. The kitchen was well appointed and we loved the layout of the condo. The owners were easy to communicate with and left us with great beach & bath towels! We will be back, hopefully with fewer Covid rules on the island!

Covid 19 cancellation
The property manager and owners treated us fairly as we had to cancel at the last minute as restriction on travel caused us to cancel the day before we were scheduled.

First time using VRBO a huge success!
We had a fantastic time at this property. It was very clean, included many extra (coffee/coffee filters, beach towels, linens, toys for the beach/water....etc.) Location was literally almost on the beach. While the beach itself was very small and there were rocks approx the first 10 yards into the water, this was very well communicated upfront and was not a surprise. It was also quite easy to navigate through and get out to the sandy areas. There was also the option to walk about 20 yards up the beach to a perfectly sandy entrance. The snorkeling out front was great as well. As is typical, the sunsets were also amazing. Another bonus was being able to watch it right from the outside patio. Chrissy communicated very well and there was nothing that we needed during our stay. I look forward to an opportunity of staying there again! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Nice condo!
The condo was clean and well furnished. The complex is nice and right on the water. There is not much sand left in front be we walked down a bit to find more sand. We enjoyed out stay. Thank you!

disappointed a bit..
Its taken me a bit to find the time to write my review since we came home with a list of issues. Christy was great, responded to all our messages very quickly! We have traveled to the Island 6 x now and usually stay at Plantana but they were closed for renovations so we decided to try somewhere else. We were able to check in early so that was very nice since our flight got in around 10am and had 3 kids (11yr, 5yr, & 9 months). Checking in was nice and smooth but once we got in the condo and started unpacking our things we noticed that whoever cleans the place does a terrible job! so if you dont mind living in other peoples filth then you shouldnt have a problem.. it was obvious that counters & night stands were not wiped down as there was coffee? on them that we easily wiped up ourselves so they werent stains. in the Blue room trash had not been taken out by the previous vacationers. The worst for us was that it was very obvious that none of the bedding had been washed it smelt horrible and not like bad smelling detergent but like you could tell they were not fresh. there was sand in all the bedding and the trundles were full of sand! another thing that really ruined it for me was the wicker ottoman.... it clearly needs to be replaced there is pieces hanging off of it which have nails on them so it makes it very unsafe for having young kids with you. my 9 month old was caught with a nail in her mouth! after that i pushed the ottoman between the sliding door and couch so she couldnt get the broken spots. Curtain rod in living room was broken so couldnt close part of the curtains at night. kitchen was covered in those annoying bugs!!! oh man so bad they got all in our food. the condos need to be sprayed INSIDE. For some odd reason my brother brought a drill w/him (haha) but it came in handy because there was 2 doors they had very loose door handles so he fixed those. we could not get the wine cooler to work so that was a bummer. theres no kitchen towels or wash clothes for cleaning up spills so you have to use the bathroom towels. there was a day we walked out and there was a big blood trail that took a few hours to be cleaned up. NUMBER 1 REASON WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS CONDO.... THE BEACH!! we understand the owner has no control over the water level or amount of beach but the owner needs to inform vacationers that the photo posted of the beach is not current. there is absolutly NO beach at all!

Great Seven Mile Beach Condi
This was our second trip to Grand Cayman. First time at this condo. We will continue coming back to the island and would consider this condo again.
The good-
Wonderful decor! Love the colors, the huge wall of mirrors that reflects the ocean is brilliant!
Lots of towels- beach and bath (though the baths were all hiding under one sink).
Large condo, plenty of room to spread out, great screened in balcony to eat and watch the sunsets! Super comfortable.
Great location! I personally love being on the southern end of Seven Mile because it’s easy to get to everything!
Plenty of parking spaces!
Two great pools! The kids loved deciding which one to go to, and they were never crowded.
Free paddle boards and kayaks!
The best snorkeling! From our beach, we saw a nurse shark, turtle, huge barracuda, flounder, and so many other fish! We heard Cemetery Beach was the best, but we saw way more right at our front door!
A/C and hot water work great!
The bad-
Lights and fans were slightly complicated to get working. Labels and instructions could be helpful, and not sure the fan on the balcony is working properly.
Faucets and drains kind of dirty, the stopper was missing from the master bath sink, and the doorknob to that bathroom was almost falling off the door.
Kitchen was a little dirty, no dish towels and I was surprised there weren’t basics like spices, sugar, oil or cleaning sprays. Most VRBO places we stay in have some of those things.
Rugs have seen better days. They look dingy and dirty. The one under the dining table is a hazard- the corner curls up and we all tripped on it more than once.
Washer is a little smelly. But cycles are quick and there was plenty of detergent.
Left front burner of the stove didn’t work reliably. I wondered why it was taking so long to cook things but then I tried a different burner!
Cleaning crew didn’t do a great job. Two pairs of dirty underwear found in two bedroom drawers, and they were doing laundry for a different unit when we arrived (though it was early so we appreciated being able to check in early).
But overall, we were very happy with our stay and like I said, I would consider renting again.
P.S. The beach washout wasn’t ideal, but it was very easy to walk over the rocky shore to get to the sandy part of Seven Mile. Bring some water shoes or even flip flops will do. Our kids were able to do it. Being closest to the best snorkeling was worth it!

Great Family week!
The condo was perfect. The view was fantastic. The pools were lovely. The paddle boards and kayaks were a nice addition. The snorkeling off the property was good as well. The property was close to restaurants and stores. The only complaint is that it is not actually attached to seven mile beach, and access to seven mile beach actually requires walking on the road to get two properties down. The beach on the property is small and rocky. Overall the condo was great, and I would stay again.

Wonderful property!! Perfect for families!
We just stayed here last week and had a wonderful time! We had 4 adults and 4 kids and everyone had a bed and we had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with just about every tool, cookware, or serving ware you’d need (only thing we could’ve used that we didn’t have was a metal spatula for the bbq, that might be a good addition).
As many have stated, there is very minimal sandy beach right now (June 2019). Only a small space for a handful of chairs. The shoreline is rocky, definitely recommend water shoes, especially for the kiddos. You can walk out a little and there are some sandy patches and that’s where you find most people floating around with their beverages in the afternoon :-) The snorkeling just off the condo was excellent! The only better we had on the island was the day we went out on a boat to I think North Wall (near the stingray sandbar). We saw tons of sea life at he condo beach... eagle ray, turtle, small nurse shark, and tons of fish.
We rented a cheap car from Firefly while we were there and loved that the condo had free parking. Totally allowed us to explore the island at our leisure!
Thanks so much for allowing us to rent your home for a low stress vacation of a lifetime!

Fantastic Week
Our family and friends of 6 enjoyed a wonderful week at Grand Cayman. The condo was perfect. I'll give you a rundown.
We arrived around 6:00 picked up our keys at the management desk and were ahown where our unit was located.
When we walked in we were sort of blown away. The unit is much bigger than the pictures make it look. So we walk past the nice clean kitchen and look around rhe corner to the view you see on post cards. A stunning sunset view with a sailboat cruising along. Literally I just screamed. It was beautiful.
I kept going, 3 nice big bedrooms 2 nice full baths and this screen porch that just beckons you CONSTANTLY!
The grounds were absolutely perfect, so beautiful. Outdoor showers were available to rinse off with. Paddleboards, kayaks lawn chairs, umbrellas quiet neighbors.
Never during our stay did we feel crowded. The air conditioner worked and that was VERY important. We cooked a few meals in, used the grill. The kitchen was WELL stocked, blender, coffee, coffee filters, dishwasher soap.
But all that being said it's really the little things that matter-right?
So....here are the little things that matter to me.
1 - A nice bottle of pinot nori waiting for us with a little note- traveling can be stressful:)
2- A big basket of beach towels right by the door.
3-Laundry detergent for the waahing machine.
The only negative was the beach area. However, we knew that going in. It wasn't a surprise. There are about a dozen chairs available to sit on. Our group didn't come to sunbath we came to dive/snorkel which we did. If your goal is to only lay on the beach be aware of this.
BTW the snorkeling off the beach...awesome! We saw a spotted stingray, nurse shark!
This place was beautiful, peaceful, located well for getting around, very well maintained, clean, updated, decorated well. It really was 1 of the best weeks of our lives.

Comfortable, Clean, and Close to the Beach with a Great Screened Porch
This was our third stay in this condo at Plantation Village - we have been coming for spring break the last few years. This unit is comfortable, clean, and close to the beach. The screened porch is wonderful. It is on the second floor and only about 50 yards from the beach - close enough to hear the waves and see some of the beach action. The porch is in the shade throughout the day, perfect for meals and when you need a break from the sun. The kitchen is well stocked with dishware, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans. The open floor plan lets the cook be part of whatever is going on in the dining area or living room. So nice to have an in-unit washer and dryer, and the owners provide the soap needed. We hope to be back!

The property was great and well maintained.
Overall, this property was very nice and very convenient. The bedrooms were perfect for our family of five. The pools were fantastic. We were expecting more of a beach to sit at every day and the beach in front of the property is minimal. We ended up going down a ways to set up each day and it was a bit of a hassle. I think it should be more clearly described that if you have kids who play in the ocean all day, this is not the best spot. The owner did warn us that the beach had changed due to recent weather but we didn't have a clear understanding of how little beach there would be.

Great Spot!
Very nice three bedroom condo. Perfect for a family. Everything worked and we had a great time. Got in a lot of scuba diving and the rest of the family enjoyed snorkeling. Grand Cayman is a lovely island and the people and property at Plantation Village were just great.

Wasn't what we expected...
So, it's not the fault of the owners that the beach is barely in existence right now (we were told by a regular visitor that it's only the 3rd time in 28 years that he's seen the lack of a beach as significant as it was for our stay), but it would've been nice to have a heads up about it...we have three kids who love going from pool to sand and back and forth and this wasn't possible. The chairs that were on the tiny beach were all "taken" by 6:30 a.m., so...we were never able to enjoy the little beach. And, the pool set up was not what we anticipated, either. The pool closest to the beach is very small and NOT right next to the beach. So, we spent most of the week at the bigger pool (away from the ocean). The condo itself also wasn't up to our expectations for the price we paid. It appeared dirty and had a slightly sour smell when we first walked in (couldn't figure out what it was). One of our kids' beds had sand in it, so...unsure if the sheets were even changed prior to our visit. We didn't realize that there was no cleaning service for the entire week we were there...we DID have a washer/dryer and (after I cleaned it out - front loader that had mold/gunk in it - and opened it up to air it out), we used it to clean some things up. The porch was wonderful, but only had five chairs at the table (we had six in our group) and one of those chairs appeared unsafe to us (it rocked too much for our comfort and we were nervous that kids - or adults - would get hurt), so we were unable to enjoy our meals out there as we like to do when in Grand Cayman. The shower head in the master bathroom was horrible...it sprayed every which way except the way you really wanted it to. The kitchen was VERY well stocked. All of the sand toys on the porch were nice to have, but the box of items on the porch for outdoor use was filthy and seemed more like a collection of junk . The property managers should be tasked with keeping these things clean and in working order for visitors who are paying this price. Some of these things might seem nit-picky, but we just expected different things...especially for the price we paid. We did NOT contact the owners about these things as much of it we didn't think could be changed (especially the lack of beach). If we are lucky enough to go back to Grand Cayman, we will be staying at a different complex.

Great location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Plantation Village. This was our second visit to Plantation Village and our 4 trip to the Caymans. We were close enough to downtown to walk or it was also nice to take the bikes that are offered. There are also paddle boards and kayaks available which were great amenities not found at a lot of places. We would highly recommend walking up the beach to the Royal Palms where there was a great atmosphere and great food. Also, we would recommend the Lobster Pot and Rack 'Ems.I would definitely recommend this place and hope to get back again real soon.

Wonderful
Really enjoyed this condo # 19. Very very clean. Property owners are easy to work with. Property has everything you need. Well maintained. Liked the 2 King beds and the twin/trundle beds. Worked well for our family.

All in all a lovely vacation spot
The place was well appointed. The beach had lost a lot of sand in a recent storm. It will come back due to current. Folks were friendly. The grounds were very well tended. The location was great. There were children’s beach blow ups left blown up on the porch taking up space and were frankly an eye sore. I should have deflated them and stuck them and the tent somewhere but felt guilty doing so. All in all a lovely vacation spot.

Photos of the beach are deceiving
Overall, the condo was fairly nice. It could have used a little TLC (dirty stove, moldy blender, dented refrigerator, burned out light bulbs and some sketchy wiring in the guest bathroom) and some deep cleaning, especially the kitchen, but it served the purpose of our stay. We had plenty of room for our family and the location was close to the beach and stores. However, the photos of the beach that were posted on VRBO are very deceiving. When we arrived, the expansive beach shown in the description was nowhere to be found. Only a small 15' x 30' area of beach remained (following a storm on our last day, the beach was totally gone). Since we really wanted a place on the beach, this was really disappointing. We ended up walking down the road about a half mile to the Royal Palms Beach Club each day.
I will say that the snorkeling directly out from the condo was pretty good. The water was clear and there was plenty of wildlife.
The grounds and pools of the condo complex were well kept.
Overall, I would give it 3 1/2 stars. I expected better, especially the beach!

We were very happy with our stay here. Plenty of good food a walk away and the snorkeling was great, saw a school of parrot fish one of the days! The condo was well equipped, plenty of beach towels and having the washer/dryer handy was a real convenience. Would stay here again in a heartbeat :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at this beautiful and extremely well equipped condo on 7 mile beach. We immediately felt at home and Phil and Tanya did a great job at ensuring our kids had lots of toys to play with and that our family was welcomed.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience

This villa was everything we were hoping for. The owners thought of everything you could possibly need. It was well equipped with towels, kitchen accessories, paper products, laundry detergent, etc etc. Nice plus to have a phone to use to call back to the states and also one to make local calls. The villa was spacious and very comfortable, there was wifi, a dvd player with dvd's and even some games. The beach area is smaller, but so much better than the crowded area that you find in front of the Marriott or the bigger hotels or condo complexes. There were also two pools onsite, but we never used either, but both looked clean and inviting. We rented a car, but certainly did not need one. Public transportation seemed to be easy to use. Found plenty of great eating places within walking distance. The one small and I mean small complaint, is that the owners control the a/c temp remotely, which is fine, but at night we would have liked to had been able to turn the a/c cooler by another degree or two and couldn't. The island itself is very clean, and there is so much to do. If you like to snorkel or dive, put Grand Cayman on your list. There are so many reefs you can access right from the beach. My one recommendation is, if you travel to the Cayman Islands pay the fee for an extra bag and fill it with food. (Liquor too if you can figure out how to get it there w/o the bottles breaking) or buy a bottle or two from duty free before you leave the states. We will definitely be back to the island in the future, and will certainly look into staying at this property again. Lastly the owners and property manager were very helpful right from the start when we were just inquiring about the property, answering all of our questions and while we were there when the complex lost cable services.

The condo was just the right size for our family of six. While an additional bathroom would have been nice we made do with the two. The grounds were kept up very nice and the staff was pleasant to work with. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and pleasure to work in The only small issue was that some of the furniture was starting to show wear. But, I would highly recommend this condo and would return again if visiting the area. Snorkeling right off the beach was GREAT!
