About this house rental

This stunning lake front home is truly a special place. We are located on the main body of Lake Granbury, in a quiet neighborhood that is mostly owner occupied. Only 8 years old, you will enjoy your stay in an immaculate home, featuring hand scraped hardwood floors, granite, and a full wall of windows overlooking the lake from the huge, open kitchen, living room, dining room, and master bedroom.
There are 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths. Downstairs is the king master bedroom and bath, and a queen bedroom with full bath. Upstairs are two huge bedrooms with 3 queen beds each, and a private bedroom with a twin bed. There are 2 twin mattresses that can be used in the media room. There are 2 very large bathrooms upstairs.
The kitchen will delight the gourmet in your group! It is fully stocked with a huge variety of cooking and serving utensils, and a cabinet full of spices is available for your use. The appliances are GE Monogram, with double electric ovens, a 5 burner gas cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator. There is a Keurig coffee maker, as well as a traditional coffee pot, a toaster oven, several crock pots, blender, and a food processor.
There are large, flat screen TV’s in the living room, master bedroom, and upstairs media room. There is WI-FI and cable TV included. Antique pinball machine does not work.
Lovingly referred to as “The House of Sunsets”, the back yard is what makes this place so special. The covered patio runs the length of the house, and is 12’ deep. There are plenty of rocking chairs to go around, and 2 outdoor tables for eating. There is a chiminea on the porch, for cozy fires on a rainy day, and a fire pit for conversations and making ‘smores. Pitch washers under the lighted trees, while overlooking the lake front. The dock has a picnic table, a slide and play fort for the littles, and a boat slip for your boat. It is a great place to hang out and do some night fishing! The yard is level, great for playing outdoor games, and there are no stairs to the lake. The water slopes gently from the sea wall, from 3+ feet deep, to over 10’ deep at the dock, great for swimming and playing in the water. We are one block from the neighborhood boat ramp. Hot tub is available for an upcharge of $100.00 per stay.

Should you want to have some fun away from the lake, Granbury is the place to be! Hidden Oaks Golf course is less than one mile away, and Squaw Valley Golf course is only 30 minutes from our house. The historical Granbury Square is loaded with unique shops and fabulous restaurants. There are festivals on the Square throughout the year, which just add to the fun! Granbury also has a multi-screen theatre and a bowling alley. Fossil Rim Wildlife Park and Dinosaur Valley State Park are both a short drive away. We are located only 45 minutes from downtown Fort Worth, and one hour and fifteen minutes from the Dallas Cowboy and Texas Ranger sports complexes, as well as Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor.

It was our second year to stay in this amazing home for a family reunion. Couldn’t ask for a better set up with the multiple beds in rooms and the adjoining bathrooms. We spent so much time on the back patio in the rocking chairs watching family play and the beautiful sunsets. We will be back!

My co-workers and I stayed for a weekend retreat. We had the best time! The home is absolutely gorgeous and nicely accommodated our large group. The porch and lake were favorites amongst our group. There was ample space for playing games, eating, watching tv, and sleeping. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed and more. The Granbury square was a short and easy drive and so much fun! The host was amazing and provided plenty of information before our stay and responded quickly to messages. Overall, a wonderful experience!

This was our 3rd year at House of Sunsets for our annual family get-together. This home is accommodating, comfortable, well furnished and supplied for any ordinary need, with room, inside and out, for varied activities. Excellent dock for swimming. We look forward to many more years at this home for our family. The system for the TV could be more user friendly. There is wifi that has limitations and no cable or satellite source that we were able to find. We used phones and screen sharing. But, still a great visit, and still 5★s.

This property is perfect for a group gathering. We cooked in the well-appointed kitchen, roasted s'mores in the fire ring, floated on rafts off the dock, enjoyed shopping in Granbury's Square, played games, and enjoyed each others company. I highly recommend this VRBO!

This is the best lake house we have ever rented for our family vacation. We loved the back porch with rockers that over look the lake, the large dining table where we could all fit and enjoy our meals together, the super well stocked kitchen, and it was so clean! Great house for large families.

We really enjoyed our time together with 3 other families and friends. The house was very nice and clean and comfortable. We like that the house was able fit all of us. Each room has its own bathroom. Very close to the lake. The wifi connection was great. We really loved the kitchen with all of the appliances and everything we needed were there. 4 generations needed a space to stay and gather to celebrate the life of a family matriarch. Those who stayed and those visiting only for a day remarked at how well this home met our needs. Common area layout was inviting, the back patio and yard extended it comfortably on a glorious day that ended with s'mores over a glowing fire pit. So many cozy accommodations and even more amenities than expected made it easy to focus on the reason for our stay. Highly recommend.

We'll definitely come back to this property. Plenty of room for our group of 10. The house was clean with a huge kitchen island for us to gather around. The back porch was perfect for morning coffee and watching the sunset in the evening.

The home was just perfect: lots of space, plenty of beds, no need to bring anything. The sunsets were incredible and the boat dock was really nice. We had 12 men and older teens for a men's retreat from our church--all had a great time.

We loved our stay at the House of Sunsets. We were a group of 10 cousins ranging from 69 to 80. This wonder house accommodated us all and all of our needs. It was the cleanest Vrbo we have ever stayed in. We really enjoyed the outdoor area and loved watching the ducks and geese on the lake. A crane even visited us in the yard. Some our group fished and even though they didn’t catch anything they enjoyed it. The house is in such a good location and it was easy to get to some of the sights around Granbury. We especially enjoyed the play at the Opera House. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home. I’m sure we will be back another time.

This was our third year staying at your beautiful home. Our families all girl weekend was so special for everyone. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and living and dining space for 12 adults and 4 children. The patio and deck are a great place to sit and relax and visit with family. We had trouble getting the tv to work in the living room so we called and the manager Bridgette came quickly and fixed it for us!!! Such a nice lady. We will be staying again. This was our 2nd year to stay here with our children and grandchildren. It is a wonderful house with a beautiful view in a great area. Plenty of comfortable beds and lots space for everyone to enjoy. We caught a lot of catfish this year right off the dock. Already planning our third stay next year. The house was located on a quiet section of Lake Granbury with a beautiful green lawn leading to the dock for easy use of our jet skiis for touring and enjoying the water. The large porch has many rocking chairs for morning coffee and viewing the water. The large island in the kitchen with an extra sink was our primary gathering and serving area for meals. The dining room table seats 12 plus and was perfect for dinner. The ample bedrooms and large bathrooms made our family visit very comfortable. We look forward to returning to this home.

The house was very large and comfortable for 6 adults. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Everything was clean and well maintained. Our family reunion was at another location. The cousins wished they had more time to enjoy the back patio and view of the lake.

When we got to the house, the wifi was not working and so we called the number of the owner that was given to us on the information paper in the house but each time we called the owner just hung up on us. It wasn’t after maybe more than 10 calls where he finally picked up only to say “stop calling me” and so we called a couple for times and finally got an answer from someone who I’m assuming was his wife who was kind enough to help us out with the wifi situation. In the images online of the house, there was shown a pool floatie on the lake which most the kids were looking forward to but when we got there, there was no floatie and we tried to look around for it but there was nothing to be found. When we tried contacting the owners for help to find it they did nothing but ignore our calls. As well as that, the refrigerator was broken which we were not told of before we got there. The upstairs photo frame was also broken before we got there. For whoever if looking to rent this house, make sure you check what’s broken as soon as you get there otherwise the owners might try to blame and charge you for it. We go on road trips to lake houses like this very often but this was our worst experience as the owners completely ignored our calls when we needed help and did not inform us about the broken fridge ahead of time and of course the pictures did not 100% match.

Our family had a wonderful time here out on the dock or just sitting outside. Inside had plenty of room large group of 14. Close to downtown for food and shopping plus on a quiet part of the water bend. Would book this home again!
