Wonderful location for family reunion. Shade trees, big yard, river for wading, firepit, and trains! My grandkids loved the trains and the bunk room. Bike trail was nearby for those who wanted to ride. Large kitchen and dining table were perfect for our family.

Beautiful house, great location. So many things to do in the area, GAP, Mountain Biking, Road Biking, Hiking, White Water Rafting, etc. Great restaurants and a bike shop in town. And Dan is a delight.

Perfect stay for us! Incredibly rural and far from other stores, and the roads were not plowed much by the time we got there so be aware of that! Otherwise the home was perfect!

Every year myself and 2 of my sister in laws do a 2-3 day outdoorsy getaway with our total of 12 kids ranging from 3-20. Paddlers Lane is a hidden gem, the property is beautiful along the Yough River. The property managers were great, helpful and had open communication available before, during and after to make our stay comfortable. House was exceptionally clean with everything you would need. We spent time at the small beach on the river and walked the trails. There is a flat yard for kids to run and a place to enjoy fire pit at night. The kids loved the 3rd floor loft and spent a lot of time hanging out there making memories. Everyone enjoyed watching the trains that run in-front of the property, surprising non disturbing but actually exciting. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful, peaceful very tastefully appointed property. It very easily accommodated our six adults and four teen and tween children. Trains run by from time to time, but not a problem. We would gladly return

We had a great time at the property. It was very relaxing and we spent a lot of time around the fire pit together with friends and family. Beautiful view of the river right on the property. The place was very cleanly and the grounds were well maintained. It is also very large and can accommodate a lot of people. There is a train track that is in close proximity but no one felt it was disruptive. It adds to the experience and we enjoyed watching the lights of the train approach in the dark. Overall, we would highly recommend and look forward to returning in the near future.

Had a wonderful time, the house had plenty of room for all of us to have space while the common areas supported us being together.

My three sisters and I met with our families at the Paddlers Lane property for a weekend of fun over the Easter weekend. The property is located on a beautiful lot next to the river. We had a wonderful time playing corn hole and croquet and sat around the fire pit for hours. Ohio Pyle Park is phenomenal.

This property was the perfect blend of cozy and spacious for our group of 6 adults and 2 happy dogs. We loved the large common areas and the queen bedrooms. The house is so tidy and intentionally decorated, we really appreciated it. We also are thankful for our communications with the hosts. We’ve already started thinking about our next visit!

Our family had such a wonderful stay at Paddler's Lane Retreat. From the beautiful grounds to the comfort and coziness of the home itself. We couldn't have asked for more! And, you know what they say about location. Paddler's Lane is within minutes of great food like Mitch's Restaurant and River's Edge Cafe as well as a short drive to Ohio Pyle State Park where we enjoyed miles of trails for both hiking and biking while taking in nature's beauty.
Robin and Dan are truly the best hosts and made their home our home for a perfect week!

Lived up to our high expectations
Our experience was just as positive as so many others. The house was beautiful, very nicely furnished with lots of high quality touches. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked with every cooking implement you can think of. And there was no shortage of glassware - from wine goblets to champagne flutes to martini glasses - we were covered! The setting was tranquil, with the trains no bother at all. All 10 of us enjoyed our stay immensely.

Whole family gathering
Talked to everyone in the past couple days since we all came home. No one seems to be able to find a complaint about anything. Yeah I know, how odd is that.
Slept well, fished, biked, walked, kayaked, Not one issue.

Family Vacation
The property was beautiful and very clean. Loved all of the fun pictures and decorations. Very well done! The host was available for any questions and advice on the local area. Really enjoyed the outside space with fire ring, chairs and picnic table. Kitchen was very well appointed. We had everything we needed for all meals we prepared for the 10 in our party. Plenty of room for us all and the kids loved the loft.
My only caution would be there are a few campsites avaible directly beside the property that would affect privacy if being used.
We would definately return if visiting the area again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Fantastic stay
The house and property were perfect for our group of 11 women: beautifully decorated with many amenities; large kitchen that let all of us eat and be together; great outdoor space. The hosts were very friendly and easy to work with, and also made amazing pottery that was available to purchase. (We bought quite a few pieces!)
You get to the loft by going through the bathroom, so sometimes that may be awkward if someone is in there. The loft has a very low ceiling, but kids would love being up there with 8 beds and room to play. It was a great weekend.

We Cannot Wait to Return!
The property is beautiful. The running river behind the house was so soothing. The house is spacious and looks exactly as advertised. There is a modern, well-equipped kitchen. We loved the fireplace when the weather turned chilly and overcast. And for us, the trains passing by were an added attraction. If you think it will bother you during the night, our hosts provided never-used earplugs in each room. Speaking of hosts, they were very gracious, pleasant, and extremely accommodating (no, they are not family nor friends - just very nice people).

Extended family vacation
This was a great opportunity for our extended family to spend a week together enjoying the outdoors. We explored the many adventures of the Ohiopyle area. This home has a quaint setting. The river is a constant peaceful hum interjected by trains passing by. We got used to the trains, and overall it actually added to the ambiance. The teens and tweens stayed in the loft area. Although the ceiling was low for some of them, the space was maximized and nicely done. There is a pass-through bathroom on the way to the loft which takes some coordinating to get full use. Overall, this home is clean and well-maintained. The owners were friendly and accommodating. The yard is large and we enjoyed teaching the kids croquet and swimming in the beach area located a short walk from the backyard. The covered front porch was great for sitting and reading. There was plenty of parking for our vehicles and trailers loaded with kayaks and bikes. We would definitely stay here again.

Riverside oasis
My family and I loved this house! It was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 4 children. Comfy bedrooms for all of the adults and the kids loved the sleeping loft. The family room accommodated all of us with comfy couches. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area could fit us all. The outside area is really the star of the show. A huge yard that was gorgeous gave the kids plenty of room to run. River access is right there and we loved sitting by the fire pit listening to the sounds of the water. There was plenty for the kids to explore right outside the house. The quiet gravel road that ran through the camp ground was the perfect place for the kids to ride their bikes and the passing trains were an added bonus for the little ones. We were able to fish right out the back and ride our bikes into town and to the GAP. There's plenty of outdoor activities in the area. Robin and Dan were exceptional hosts. Robin has thought of everything right down to ear plugs in all of the rooms. They were super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for an enjoyable stay. Hope to be back again sometime.

The perfect get away.
This place honestly is one of the best places I’ve ever rented out personally. Being able to go to sleep and wake up hearing the constant running water of the river was amazing. Not to mention being able to see every star in the sky was also really cool. The house itself is super beautiful with great hosts. I would definitely plan to stay again!!!

Amazing adventure away from the city living
My family and I had a wonderful time.... We had a warm fire in the cabin every night, as we all gathered and shared stories while roasting marshmallows... the property is quite large- our Belgian Sheppard ran across the back side of the cabin, running along the river... the landscape was beautiful.... we visited some historical sites within a 30 minute drive, to include a day trip to a ski resort for some snow tubing.... Robin and Dan were wonderful and attentive hosts, the cabin was very clean, cozy and enough rooms and bathrooms for a large family. The kitchen was nicely stocked with the essentials needed to prepare daily meals.... Highly recommended this property!

Nice house on the river
Nice house. Well taken care of. Clean and organized. We were surprised to see that a campground was literally right next door to the house. So, not as secluded as we thought it would be. (We knew about the other house nearby from the description, so knew there was a chance we wouldn’t be completely alone.) Thankfully, the nearby campers were not disruptive in any way; but there were at least a dozen groups of campers spread out that Labor Day weekend with the traffic of them coming and leaving. The owners were incredibly kind and receptive and their care of the home reflects in the regular day-to-day amenities you hope to have in a house rental.

Good getaway
Renting the property went smoothly and checkin did also. Dan was very helpful as was Robin. They answered all our questions and helped us when we asked. The others with us like the place also.

A busy weekend away!
We had a great time at this house in Confluence. Once we got over the shock of the attic and the little tiny beds our 8 teens in the group loved their space (and there is a fire escape route that we eventually discovered). The kids couldn't stand up upstairs without hitting their heads but they mostly just slept there. It took a little back and forth between the three couples on who would get the two bedrooms with on-suite bathrooms and away from the train but we figured it out. Overall the sleeping arrangements were fine. The house is beautiful and the kitchen is better equipped then my own at home. And anything we needed that we couldn't find or that we forgot Dan was super quick to run over and show us where things were or give us a supply of it. He also answered all our questions about the area (and we asked a lot). Super, super helpful.
As for activities, we were back and forth at Riversport for four days. One day we rented rafts to do a very lazy 2 mile float and swim right from Confluence. The next day we rented rafts for a longer float from Confluence into Ohiopyle. And the day after that we rented stand-up paddleboards, piled them in our truck and took them 5 minutes to the lake. Another day we hopped on the bike trail (had to drive to it from the house) and rode into Ohiopyle. We were really surprised to get to the town and see SO MANY people. We realized that the quiet town of Confluence was definitely the place to be. But we enjoyed lunch and rode back on the beautiful trail.
For meals we LOVED the Outflow for dinner and ice cream. We've never seen such large portions of ice cream and the food was really good. We did our other meals at the house since it was set up so well for all of us to eat together there.
We only drove to the state park once during our trip to do Cucumber Falls and swim in the river but it was so crowded that it took away from the beauty of the natural surroundings. Covid has definitely pushed people outside.
Overall we would highly recommend this house. The communication and help we received was excellent, the house fit our group of 14 perfectly, the activities right in the town kept us busy for four days, we enjoyed the fire pit by the river and the train, although close and hard to get used to at first was not a problem after the first night (even for two insomniacs in the group). We were so tired from all of our activities that we got used to them.
Thanks Dan and Robin!

Family Vacation - Large and Loud
My family of 25 stayed in the chalet and the main house. Both houses were awesome, clean and owners were great and helpful. Location is great for kayaking, biking, hiking, fishing.
The spacious property was great for our large group. There were many places to gather for group for meals, games and relaxation. We loved being right on the Yough River, allowing for us to drop our kayaks in from the backyard or the kids being able to splash in the river at the beach. They were very accommodating to rather large and loud group.
The house is perfect and stocked with all the basics. We arrived a little early and Dan and Robin were very welcoming to our group.
(As mentioned in other reviews, the train is right across the lane from the front yard, so the train noise is evident at points throughout day/night. No one lost a lot of sleep over the train.

Fairytale luxury on river
The pictures and reviews are all great and accurate, but maybe even better in person! The house has a feel and flow that's hard to capture in a series of pictures, but as soon as we walked in, we felt right at home.
There are so many places where our group could comfortably gather, and the arrangements prompted discussions, games, and communal relaxation! We loved being just steps from the Yough River. One drawback to the location is that getting to the GAP Trail (which you can see just across the river) requires a drive to Confluence and back down to Ramcat Landing. Not a dealbreaker, but required some planning in our days if we wanted to hike instead of just hang out at house/on river.
The house is perfectly appointed with wooden floors, ceilings, wood beams, wood burning fireplace, comfy pillows (!), and an extremely well-stocked kitchen. (The wall of cast iron skillets was the stuff of my dreams!) We also greatly enjoyed using the owner Robin's pottery for morning coffee mugs and dinner plates (Robin is a gifted potter and has stocked the house with her trade!)
Within minutes of our arrival, we were all saying we couldn't wait to come back, and after staying here for four days, our opinion hasn't changed one bit! Paddler's Lane will be a great location from which to explore/bike/hike/run the GAP Trail or head out to surrounding areas for Fallingwater, Ohiopyle, or in the winter, the various ski resorts in the area. Can't recommend this highly enough for large groups, family reunions, or even a small getaway to the woods for ultimate relaxation.
(As mentioned in other reviews, the train is right across the lane from the front yard, so the train noise is evident at points throughout day/night. No one lost a lot of sleep over the train, but it may be worth considering with light sleepers--give them bedrooms toward rear of house. We appreciated the thoughtful touch of ear plugs placed in each bedroom but didn't find we needed to use them.)

Place was great, clean and owners were amazing and helpful. Location is great for fishing, and close to river and lake activities. Also a nice private beach on the river front.
