Nice house with fenced yard. Nice and quiet. Inside of house was well maintained but, the outside area needs some repairing.

Cute & clean house, awesome location right on the water, great for swimming/fishing/kayaking plus super close to the store for any supplies. Thanks again!

The house was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked, especially important as we like to cook at home. Justin was responsive when I contacted him with questions. Love that the house was dog friendly with a fenced in back yard. The house has been updated inside but the deck needs some TLC, which I am sure are in the plans. A perfect get away!

It was exactly as stated... Peace and quiet on the lake! With all the amenities, Beautiful backyard, Fire pit, Kayaks and canoes, Beautiful backdeck. Just an all around nice place to stay and relax.

My husband and I had a very peaceful and relaxing long weekend at this lake house! It was very clean and has everything you need. We spent the majority of our time on the wonderful screened-in porch. The location was great and there was a little store/restaurant only a couple minutes walk up the street that was convenient and the food was really good! Overall, a great place to stay!

We rented the house to celebrate mom’s 70th birthday. We wanted a quiet, simple place where we could spend time together, visit, and spend time outdoors. That’s exactly what we got. We all fished and kayaked and enjoyed the peaceful scenery. Thank you.

We loved our two night stay in the forest :) The house was super clean, well appointed, quiet and relaxing. We didn't have great weather so didn't get to take advantage of the perfect spot on the lake or any of the kayaks or boats, but the location was a great jumping off point for visiting the various Berkshires towns.

Thank you, Justin, for sharing your beautiful home with my family. We had a very nice time and relaxed in the beautiful quiet surroundings. I was so excited when I saw some Norwex items as I am a consultant and also use Norwex in my home.
We hope to visit again in the warmer months as it was a perfect memory for our family.
Thanks again,
The Short family

6 dudes playing cards, enjoying fine beers and whiskey, watching football, and chillin away from their wives and children for 48 hours. Great location. Sherwood Shoppe down the street gret for breakfast amd odds and ends.

Great stay after Christmas with wife and kids which included day trips to Jiminy Leak and Butternut for skiing. Lake house was perfect place to relax after ski day. Super comfy with everything you need. Nice walking around the lake and peaceful morning water view.
Some minor items to look into for the next stay, screen doors are taking a beating, deck and steps were slippery and light bulbs need changing inside and out.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, it was a beautiful spot in a great town. We really enjoyed our stay!

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay here! The house was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful and scenic back yard. We had no issues finding the house or checking in and Justin was very responsive. We would definitely recommend!

Love the place, and finally the sun came out.

House was clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch and the view of the lake. Very quiet neighborhood. Good base camp for leaf peeping in the Berkshires. Owner was easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend!

A great home base from which to enjoy the Berkshires! Lee, Lenox, Stockbridge, etc… all in reasonable proximity to this quaint home by the lake. The screened-in porch with a view was perfect. Amenities are plenty and the home very clean! We’ll be back!

This home was beautiful with many fun things to do around the property like use the kayaks, canoe, and firepit. The fenced yard was perfect for my dog. Great location too.

The cabin on the lake was just what we wanted. Relaxing but not too far from restaurants and other activities. Would recommend!

We were looking for something on the water for the kids. The second we got there they were ready to get in the water. The view was amazing! The lake was so much fun and the house was perfect! Very cozy and equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed nights by the fire and morning on the deck. We cannot wait to visit again!

Perfect location on lake, near hiking trails and Jacob's Pillow. Well stocked for a long stay. Justin was attentive to my needs. Hope to come again next year!

we particularly enjoyed the screen porch and had most meals there

The property is really lovely and feels very private. We enjoyed sitting in the yard and on the expansive porch looking at the water and listening to the birds. We used all the kayaks and the canoe almost every day. That was really all we needed.
4.7
We loved the layout and space in the house. Kayaks on the property made it so easy to take advantage of being right on the lake. Owner responded timely to all questions prior to check-in.
A place to come back to.

The property was just as advertised, and just what we wanted: restful. There are other houses nearby and across the little lake, but still it felt absolutely private. It’s a nice little lake to putter around on a kayak. The home was clean and comfy and nicely woody, and we loved the little town of Becket and the surrounding area. Bring groceries with you; the nearest actual store is a ways off, although there’s a charming country store only steps from the house for immediate needs. It also serves lunch and breakfast but we did not happen to eat there. Special note: I have stayed in other VRBOs for which the owner had a very long and somewhat offputting list of rules, even little signs all over the house as reminders. I totally get it, people are renting out their own properties and tenants can be pigs, but the effect can be a little anxiety-producing, the opposite of what you want when you want peace. This owner had a very short list of common sense rules, so we felt… welcome. Nice place, nice stay.

Beautiful location, the birds were singing, and we just stood there in awe of the peaceful view, and ways and places to view it from. The outside porch, screened in porch, out the windows, outside chairs, and the swing was one of our favorites! We so enjoyed all nature had to offer. Inside was comfortable as well.

We had an amazing weekend at this lake house. The house was everything we imagined and more. Just be careful with ticks in the back yard but overall we enjoyed our stay very much!

We spent a great long weekend here. Property is perfect for small kids. House was clean and the owner made sure we had back up propane and plenty of fire wood.

I am not even sure where to begin with this review. Four adults stayed for four nights and it was absolutely so relaxing and peaceful the entire time that I wish I was still there. The home was so clean and had everything we needed. The shelves, drawers and light switches are all labeled which was absolutely amazing! We did plenty of fishing right from the dock and caught lots of bass, pickerel, and perch. There are many choices of boats (the lake is beautiful) but the weather was windy much of the time. We did use the paddle boat three times and my husband was able to fish in some of the coves and his highlight of the trip was catching a small mouth bass. We enjoyed the fire pit two nights and appreciated the dry wood that was available. The store is a two-minute walk away which sells a little bit of everything. We spent a majority of our time on the screened in porch. Although we wished we could have blocked some of the wind and it was quite chilly at times, we stuck it out and were grateful we could still be ‘outdoors’. (On the day it rained all day, we ventured out to Papa Bobs where everyone was so friendly. We enjoyed a couple of games of pool and the food was delicious). Check out time is 12pm. Who does that? I was able to enjoy my morning coffee and not be stressed by an early check out time. Justin was quick to respond every time I reached out to him and I am so thankful we were able to use his home. We most definitely hope to return.

With a few suggestions to offer future guests, we had a wonderful peaceful stay

The place is nice and functional, with a pleasant yard and screened porch. Justin was a good host, responsive and accommodating our early arrival.
The biggest negative for us was the policy of dogs not being allowed on furniture which wasn't highlighted anywhere on the posting, though the property is labeled as pet-friendly. Our pups are well-groomed and we cover couches when we travel. Trying to keep them off added a fair bit of stress, especially with the 11-year old one who is very fond of couch naps.
Other than that, the property is exactly like what you'd imagine from the posting. The area is nice and scenic, perfect for a getaway.

I rented the cabin for my birthday and it was exactly what I wanted!! The cabin was well outfitted with towels, sheets, utensils, glassware, dish ware, and pots/pans. It had plenty of space for 6 adults and the kayaks and other attractions were in wonderful condition! We also loved the Shoppe that was a 1 minute walk from the property. It had a delicious breakfast and was filled with some last-minute groceries when we needed a few things. Overall, a terrific trip!!

A short stay but just what we needed. Once we parked, the car didn’t start again til we were leaving. We enjoyed watching the geese, ducks and birds and the real treat was watching the otters swim back and forth. The house is super cute and comfortable.
Short walk to Sherwood Shoppe where we ate most meals. The pizza and salad were great and the owners were friendly and helpful.

We had a very nice time at this cabin!

The views of the lake are beautiful, hearing the sounds of nature is such a nice way to wake up, the house was the right size and had everything we needed for a few days away from the city. The location was perfect, away from the main roads but not far from quaint little towns with restaurants, hiking and historic sites. Justin’s place was exactly just what we needed.

This little cabin is so inviting, and the scenery is beautiful. It was the perfect getaway for our friends and family to relax and play games away from the real world for a while. Would have loved to kayak but March is very unpredictable. Thanks for the stay we’d definitely come back again!

easy access to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Canterbury Farm, beautiful view, very short walk to neighborhood market, nice high dining table and chairs perfect for friends to gather, cook dinner, eat and talk
