About this lodge
This property is unique in that it is remote yet near so many places. The master bedroom is downstairs with a private bath, private sitting area with television, king size sleep number bed, and a private deck with a large outdoor hot tub. Four bedrooms are upstairs connected by a common den with huge vaulted ceiling and each bedroom has its own private vaulted ceiling. ( those cuelga are a recent upgrade) Each of those bedrooms has a very comfortable (1) king, (2)queens or (1)double bed. There is a 46 foot screened porch on the front with plenty of sitting room including rocking chairs and a porch swing! There is a large deck off the back dining room as well with a table, chairs and a gas grill. Everything you need to make a perfect getaway in Central KY. The open space and extra-wide interior doors make it easy for wheelchairs. We also have a portable ramp to use for the 2 steps up through the garage into the house if needed. The entire house is very open with extra tall and vaulted ceilings and lots of exposed wood. Spacious kitchen with all amenities you would want. As we are near Shaker Village we have decorated the house with Shaker-style furniture and primitive American decor. This is the perfect place to gather with family or friends and enjoy nature while being close to so much!! The fire pit outside is a guest favorite! After a waiver is signed we can arrange for use of the hot tub and for hiking. We can recommend a great place to fish as well! (our pond unfortunately has NO fish!) You are also invited to stroll up and down the scenic half mile paved driveway.

This property is stunning and expansive and just what we were looking for to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. The house was much larger than the photos appear and we had plenty of room to spread out, prepare and then enjoy meals together. The Kroger card on the refrigerator was a nice touch too! There is a reason this property has a high rating. We felt like we were lucky to have stumble upon it and definitely want to make plans to return.

Traveled with a group of ladies on our yearly get together. The house was very remote and peaceful. Loved the screened in porch in the morning to watch the sunrise. The sunset and river bend was blocked by the trees this time of year, but still beautiful on the rear deck. The kitchen was stocked with many items. The beds were super comfortable. Large table for games was great. Was a little concerned with the creek crossing, however, we were assured that it had very little water. Thanks for sharing your home. We were blessed to stay there.

We were five couples traveling from Maryland to attend the wedding in Lexington. The house was perfect! It gave us a chance to relax and reconnect. The home was very well appointed. Lisa thought of everything. The house was also sparkling clean.
We had plenty of space to hang out in the living room, upstairs sitting area, and on the wonderful screened in front porch, where we took in the sunrise with a cup of coffee.
The farm surrounding the home is beautiful and offers serenity that can be hard to come by with a rental home.
It was a magical stay. We are now considering renting the home again at some future point to bring together our friends again.

The house is a really great space for larger groups. Plenty of space for groups to visit in 3 sitting areas, including one in the master bedroom. The views from living room and screened porch are fantastic. The house was clean and beds were very comfortable. Lisa was extremely accommodating for us and the check in/out procedures are the easiest I've had with a VRBO property.

Three of my first cousins and our spouses stayed here for three nights. We had a wonderful time. It is a great house and located in a very private and remote location. The description of the road was factual but warning us about the location one lane road and numerous no trespassing signs would have been helpful!

What a treat we found in this property. Vast views with incredible sunrises and sunsets. We used this location as home base while hitting our favorite bourbon spots with our friends, 10 of us in total. The property was well stocked with all the necessities and then some. It was clean upon arrival and the property owners were very responsive.

This is our second stay at this beautiful property. It is clean, well equipped, the owner (Lisa) is very responsive. We had a group of 8 guys and had plenty of room for us. This is a really nice place.

We appreciated the lovely setting. Yes, it is rural, but close to Lexington. We were an extended family ranging in age from almost 2 to 75. The common areas were terrific for our family. The kitchen was well stocked so we could make brownies and cook more complex meals. The little ones appreciated the driveway for riding bikes and other vehicles. We also appreciated the games, toys and other amenities that were enjoyed by everyone.

We had 4 couples stay here. The property is in the country and it's gorgeous. It's quiet except for the wildlife. We saw deer, turkey, owls. Such a nice place to get away to. We loved the front screened porch for coffee during the cool late summer mornings.
The kitchen had everything we needed.
I recommend this home for your group if you don't want all the commotion of the city. It's close enough to boating, distilleries and Lexington that we made day trips of it all.
Great place to spend a week.

Very cool property! Manager was very easy to get a hold of and helpful. Little tricky to find but the property is beautiful! The house is a little louder than i expected. But we knew about it ahead of time. Overall it was great and we would definitely stay again in the future!!

I don’t think words can describe the peacefulness that swept over our family while we enjoyed a week here. My parents, my in-laws, two loving labs, a 5 year old, a 4 year old, and my husband. You could hear the girls squeals miles away! The laughter and the quiet times with God all ebbed and flowed here daily. The pictures can’t quite capture that but they do a wonderful job. If you’re thinking about it… DO IT. We had the opportunity to meet Jamey, the man who owns and built this home, and he gave us some history of the home making it all the more charming. There’s plenty of space to get off on your own as well as space to enjoy everyone. I truly can’t say enough positive things about this rental and or the area where it is located. If you need a place just to be, to reset, to connect with family, to have time with God… this is the place. I highly recommend 6am, screen porch, blanket, coffee, and a Bible. It just might be a little bit of Heaven on Earth. Thank you for sharing your joy with us. Love The Morris Crew!

The morning after returning from this lovely location, I awoke with this old song playing in my mind: "My grandfather's clock was too tall for the shelf, so it stood ninety years on the floor. It was taller by half than the old man himself, but it weighed not a penny-weight more."
It took a second before I remembered what triggered this memory; it was the grandfather clock in the living room of this spacious rural home. The clock is typical of the ambiance in this comfortable home: handmade quilts, comfortable seating, a large screened-in porch, and room for everyone to gather around the dining room table. I gathered here with my brothers, their spouses, my son and his wife. We met over Memorial Day weekend to attend concerts at the nearby Shaker Village performed by the Lincoln Chamber Music Society of New York, and to enjoy precious family time together.
The farm provides utter peace and privacy, and enough space to find a quiet corner if you seek time alone. It is close enough to Lexington to attend sports events and concerts, but once you arrive you may never want to leave.
This is the second stay for me. A year ago I got together with a group of friends from my college graduating class, and this second time with family. I hope there will be future visits to this special place.

The property and home are beautiful and cozy. It really feels like home from the moment you arrive. The owners are extremely responsive and helpful with whatever you may need. I highly recommend this property for a quiet getaway. The KY countryside is absolutely gorgeous!

This is a beautiful piece of property that such in the hills in Kentucky, which has fantastic reviews, no matter where you look. The trip to get there is a menagerie of twists and turns and hills. If you’d like to drive, curvy roads, this is a place you want to be. Had a great time. Make sure you bring groceries.

My wife and I were looking for a location where we could just get away and relax in a quiet, peaceful environment. I recently retired after Serving 40 years in the military, and we were more than ready for some rest and relaxation.
We couldn't be more pleased with our stay here. The lodge-style home was secluded in a peaceful setting with large pastures in front and back, along with plenty of woods. The closest neighbor was 1/2 mile away. We enjoyed setting on the screened-in front porch and watching the sunrise; as well as sitting on the back deck and watching the sunset. Most mornings and evenings there were deer in the fields.
The home was very comfortable with all of the amenities we needed to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
Since they are pet friendly, we were able to bring along our two small Yorkies and they had a blast playing outside in the wide-open spaces.
We were able to do some hiking on the vast expanse of acreage they offered and felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. However, it was only a short 20 minute drive to town for a grocery store or restaurants.
All in all it was exactly what we needed and the owners were very pleasant to work with.
We hope to be back again and bring some friends with us next time!

The owner of this beautiful property is one of the nicest people I have spoken with. She was concerned with our arrival due to weather and checked in until we made it. The house has everything you need to cook or bake. I t amazingly clean. We had a full house and plenty of room for everyone. Mu dog loved running the acres with us while we explored.

My family (7 of us) stayed over the weekend. The cabin is spacious, with many areas to hang out or get away from everyone. The property is gorgeous, with great views and space to walk and enjoy nature. The best part, though, was the porch. I just wish we had warmer weather to really enjoy it!

We really enjoyed our stay. Waking up with awesome sunrise and going to sleep with amazing sunsets. Watching wildlife and enjoying our walk in the woods.
Jamie and Lisa responded quickly when we had a concern and resolved issue in timely manner with very little interpretation to our stay. Very awesome as hosts are concerned.
