Our group of 5 couples got together for a week in the sun. The house worked out great for us. We purchased the gourmet chef option and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Bebe and Jayner made us feel like kings and queens! Highly recommend this property!

We were 11 woman and a 7 month baby and rented the house for a week. The location was perfect for us; 15 minute drive to town but directly on the water and secluded. Lots of wonderful little hotel restaurants within walking distance. We had several meals prepared at the house and would highly recommend. Bivi anticipated our every need and made us all feel like we were home. The house is ideal for a yoga retreat! We practiced each day in the rooftop overlooking the water. Mats and blocks were conveniently supplied. Would definitely return.

We really loved staying here! We felt very safe in our gated villa in this community. Some things to note for future travelers that I wish I had realized- the bedrooms are on two floors, and lock behind all sorts of doors. So when one person goes to bed, the whole house kind of had to because there was only one set of keys to lock you in/out.
I the house is sprawling, with several separate living areas. Great if you need some space for everyone, tough if you don’t make an effort to find one landing pad for everyone.
The beach was gorgeous! Not swimmable while we went due to all the seaweed, but I think it was just because of the time of year that we went.
It’s so close to tons of attractions and everything was easy to get to!
I also want to take a minute to thank the staff, who were absolutely phenomenal. It was incredible to have support and advice on hand 24/7, and made our group of primarily young women feel extra comfortable to explore the surrounding area.
I HIGHLY recommend this space, and would love to go back! Hopefully these just help someone else prepare a little more air their stay here :)

The photos of the house don’t do it justice, the staff was wonderful and the chef made a wonderful dinner for us one night. Really well equipped for cooking. Can’t recommend this place enough.

We celebrated my wife's 60th birthday with close friends and family. 9 of us total using 5 of the 7 bedrooms.
Awesome location on the beach with beautiful views of the ocean and coastline. Quiet/peaceful area with security and safety, while being close to Tulum town and the restaurants or action if desired. Note: we rented a car and I would strongly recommend doing so for this location to give you maximum freedom to explore the area. There are taxis available but the cost would add up being 15-20 min North of Tulum.
Staff was fantastic!! Highly recommend the Gourmet Chef Package. The fabulous chef Bera was exemplary and server Bibi so sweet, accommodating, and trustworthy. Their friendly smiles while serving delicious food added a level of relaxation and luxury to our group experience. Amelia cleaned the house daily and Jose tended to the 3 pools and was very quick to clean up the Sargassum(brown macroalgae) that comes up on shore at times while other homes did not tend to it in a timely manner.
The house has plenty of areas for quiet alone time or great spaces for group gatherings. Extra special is the top level with its exquisite views and area for morning Yoga(thank you Lauren!), sunsets, and night time star gazing. We used and enjoyed all 3 pools and there were ample areas to chase sun or shade depending on your preference. The reef is great for snorkeling or kayaking and there is a small pier with hammocks close by. (Bring water shoes to enter for snorkeling).
Overall, a fantastic vacation home on a beautiful beach with great staff that feels like family preparing delicious food.
One suggestion for ownership would be to upgrade the heater for the top level "soaking pool"/jacuzzi so that the temperature could actually reach 39 - 40 degrees C(103-104 F) and be more like a true jacuzzi. Regardless, time in that pool with it's spectacular views during the day and night was well spent!
Lastly, the owners Gimena and Mike Coate as well as their booking agent Diana were all responsive and very helpful leading up to our arrival. A 5* experience all the way. Thank you so much! We look forward to a return visit in the future.

The staff at this home can not be replaced. Bebe the house manager was beyond kind, accommodating and overall just lovely. Chef Vera’s meals were outstanding and he was so thoughtful even to make accommodations for our children and one family member who was lactose intolerant. Jose and Amelia who kept the place clean and stocked inside and out were incredible as well.
The property and home were also lovely. A few things that were odd like some bedrooms that did not have curtains. We were able to forgive the little oddities of the home instantly because of the wonderful people managing it.
We will definitely be returning to this home again! Thanks for such a great time!

First off communication with the property Manager Diana was stellar. We had meals planned, groceries picked up and ready for arrival. Yoga and Massages scheduled. Along with transport from the airport. We were scheduled to be a group of 8 coming in together. Flights were delayed so group was split by several hours. Diana worked with us to get a second transport lined up.
The house met all expectations, and we enjoyed a very laid back vacation in paradise. The kudos went to the staff- Jose meet us as we arrived and took care of the grounds daily. Amelia was there to spruce up the house as needed and helped with other needs in the house. BiBi and Chef Vero wowed us with the meals they prepared and the attention to detail. We went with the meal plan and could not be happier. The daily breakfast and dinners we arranged were amazing. Not an item we could say did not please our needs. Soups, salads, desserts and main course were all great. So if you are questioning if you should or not our recommendation is definitely a yes.
We did not venture out to Tulum or Playa Del Carmen as our plan was to stay put and relax. Which we did. There are several choices within a short walk up the beach for drinks and meals or snacks. We had a nice Birthday meal at Bsky. Also a couple visits next door to Blue Sky and enjoyed what they offered.
The pools at the house were great and we used each. The bedrooms were nicely arranged and the house in general was beyond expectations. The paddle board and kayaks were put to good use and enjoyed by all. It was windy all but a couple days so not in use every day.
The owners the Coate's were also great to work with. We as a group of 8 would all highly recommend. Looking forward to when we can come back again!

Our family of 6 adults and 2 children stayed at Casa Caribena over the New Years Holiday. The condition and location of the home and surrounding property are top notch- what a treat to swim in a pool overlooking the ocean or have the kids play in the sand in front of the house. There were more than enough bedrooms and bathrooms so everyone had their own personal space. What really made the trip was the service of the staff. Bibi the housekeeper and Vera the chef were so kind and willing to do whatever they could to make our experience enjoyable, especially our kids “the babies” as they called them. Diana was also able to arrange an over-the-top New Year’s Eve dinner that was truly memorable. We highly recommend you get the chef package it was well worth the money, the gourmet package included delicious seafood as well and we really enjoyed it. Overall we had an amazing trip to Tulum and loved our stay at Casa Caribena!

Casa Caribeña was the perfect home for us in Tulum. Very difficult to choose the best thing about it - but probably the staff was our favorite. Bebe, Chef Vera, Amelia and José went above and beyond. The food was great. But their warmth and friendliness and kindness were what made us so comfortable. We felt completely spoiled and at home. Diana (agent) was excellent to deal with. Thank you all for an awesome stay! The beach has seaweed/sargassum but Jose did an excellent job maintaining the beach in front of the house. The only thing was that we could hear/see construction but you'd be hard pressed to find a place to stay where there isn't any construction in Tulum. It didnt really bother us. We went to the Hotel zone for dinner one night and we were SO GLAD we chose to stay on the north beach area where it was peaceful and relaxing. We highly recommend!

Wow! Exceeded my expectations. Everything was as described in listing if not better. Absolutely beautiful location for a relaxing family break. The friendly support team were wonderful and worked to anticipate any needs from fresh coconuts cut from the trees on the property to extra ice.
We chose the chef package and Chef Vera went out of his way to please us accommodating vegetarians and plain old "fussy" eaters delighting us every day with sumptuous breakfasts and Dinners. The house and property was kept spotless by Bibi , Maria and Jose.

We were a group of 7 women celebrating our birthdays. It was the perfect place to relax, unplug and reconnect. Boutique restaurants and spas flanked the villa so we could venture out for a meal and massages without the loud party vibes of Tulúm Beach. We also had a yoga instructor come to the property for roof top morning yoga.
We did need a taxi van to get to town and groceries stores. Next time, we will all exchange money or brung more cash to avoid atm headaches. We would highly recommend the chef package. The food was great and we didn’t lift a finger. Really exceeded our expectations in every way. So many good memories!

Initially planned a vacation right before Covid hit, so this vacation was a few years delayed and much needed. This property completely delivered. The location was great, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the icing on the cake was Chef Vera. His meals were fantastic and he accommodated all diets and ages, while providing truly delicious meals.
Only warning is this area is tucked away, which is great to relax, but makes it a bit harder to go to the city center itself or pick up any groceries.

AMAZING CHEF
We had a group of 14 ladies for a bachelorette party and this was the perfect house for our stay! The property manager set up our COVID tests, transportation, and offered to set up dinner reservations as well! It was SO helpful as it was a lot to coordinate for so many people and I was the MOH and in charge of all of that. The house was incredible, location was perfect, but I cannot say enough about our chefs. Their food was absolutely amazing!! It was always incredibly fresh and beautifully plated- so much talent. They truly loved to serve and to host and that showed at every meal. Not only was their culinary experience top-notch, but they were great help for recommendations and advice in Tulum as well as additional food items or alcohol we needed. He would bring the snacks or alcohol we needed at his next visit for our next meal. They were more available than the man that stays on the property so the chefs were who we often went to for help whenever needed.
The hotel zone, where there are lots of great restaurants, is about 30 minutes driving in traffic (lots of traffic in the evening). We ate at Taboo and Rosa Negra, recommended by Diana, and both were incredible. Taboo was such a great experience and I will definitely be back to visit!
Cenote Manati is a short short walk down the street and is worth visiting! There is a friendly crocodile who arrived years ago as a baby during a tropical storm and has stayed ever since!

VACATION MAY 21 - MAY 28 2022
we are extremely pleased with our whole vacation. Being a large group of 12, it was really nice to have the beach/ocean side to ourselves. We were happy to have access to the kayak/canoe whenever we were ready. it was nice to not have to share the pool/hot tub with strangers. Our rooms were comfortable. The food was amazing, our chefs went out of their way to make sure we were happy......with 5 children on board wasn't an easy task. Our only regret is that we didn't speak Mexican and the chef/maid had very little English, but we managed to get our thoughts across. There were lots of water toys for the children to enjoy. Good time was had by all!! We all came home with many happy memories. Thank you!!

The view of thus house was spectacular- the staff was amazing- went above and Beyond to make our Vacation perfect. Jose and Amelia did a great job keeping the property beautiful and clean. Diana had every reservation taken care of from dinners, tours and yoga and massages. The house was stocked based on our requests. And the chef ( who we called B) was amazing
Catered to sell our meal preferences and even made spec desserts to celebrate birthdays 🎂. The water sports, volleyball and hammock was a nice touch. Remember bring your sunblock and bug spray !!!

We had 2 families enjoying 50th birthdays between Christmas and New Years staying at casa caribeña. It was amazing. The house was great and being 14 steps from the beach was incredible. We had the chef at our house for almost every meal and they were all delicious. There was so much food that we had to let him know a few meals that we would just eat leftovers. The bay is very safe and Jose made us feel secure. We would go back in a minute. I liked it so much that I even inquired about buying the place. Thank you for a great family vacation.

Casa Caribena is the most beautiful property in Tankah Bay. The location and the amenities of the property is breathtaking. The housekeepers and chef were very accommodating. The food package we purchased was well worth every penny. If you’re not planning on purchasing the food package or just partial, the grocery store is 6 miles away. You’d need a car or taxi. A taxi would cost $70-$80 USD one way. They don’t have bags at check out so bring reusable bags or a suitcase to carry your groceries! Car rental costs around $140 USD per day, forget about using your credit card car rental insurance, they won’t accept it. Bring plenty of mosquito spray! Overall, my family of 13 really enjoyed our stay at Casa Caribena.

If we could give 6 stars we would. We booked for 10 people at the last min due to a horrible Airbnb experience. Owner was amazing and the on site staff was outstanding. Will definitely look to book again upon my return to Tulum.

Perfection in Paradise
Our stay at Casa Caribena was fabulous! From the house which had several spaces to hangout - with your group or a quiet nook to relax alone or cool off in one of the 3 pools. The staff was awesome!! The prepared chef meals were unbelievable! We would highly recommend it for a group of friends or family! We will definitely be back!

A little piece of paradise!
Casa Caribena did not disappoint! Had a wonderful time in Tulum and were pampered by a most friendly and helpful staff, delicious meals and a pristine location. The hosts/owner were MOST helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our family vacation. LOVED BLUE SKY restaurant just a short mile to the left of the property for both lunch and a special wedding anniversary dinner! Bedrooms were cool at night and the ocean breeze helpful in the main part of the house during the day. A setting to remember for our family of 11. PLENTY of house to come all together or retreat to the rooftop, garden pool or living area on one of the levels . Had a GREAT time at Casa Caribena! Thank you hosts... for making this first trip to Tulum one to remember! Coming from 4 different cities and three states, our family appreciates this amazing location and hospitality to make another memory! Susan

An Unforgettable Stay on the Riviera Maya
Our group of 12 friends celebrating our 30th birthdays spent an incredible 5 day stay at Casa Caribeña. The house was even better in real life than in the pictures, and it's location directly on the beach can't be beat. We spent most of our time swimming in the ocean (bring sandals/water shoes) or lounging in the many pools and ample space. We had more than enough room for everyone, and the bedrooms were all incredible.
The best part of the trip was the amazing staff. Benito, our chef, cooked us delicious food the whole time, accommodated our many dietary restrictions with ease, and lit up the room with his infectious smile and positive attitude. Our groundskeeper Jose was super friendly, and always made sure the place was maintained, the pools were ready, and we had anything we needed. The housekeeper Gely had fresh sheets and a sparkling clean house for us every day, and a constant supply of fresh towels. We can't emphasize enough how great the staff were.
The location is 15 minutes north of Tulum beach and Tulum town. so close enough to go in for a dinner out or to explore the ruins, but you won't want to leave the house- it's really a great place to relax. There is also a Cenote just a 5 minute walk away which was really cool to explore.
Overall, we had a perfect few days on the Riviera Maya, and are thinking about coming back next year!

We had the most amazing stay this past week! Becky and everyone else cooked the most amazing meals and the house was constantly in great shape. We couldn’t be more thankful for our stay and the service we were provided with while there. Will be returning for sure!

Wonderful Stay
We stayed her with a group of friends (7). There was plenty of space, comfortable beds, and plenty of bathrooms. This home is fully stocked - we were able to use the house chef a few times (such a treat) and cooked a couple of our meals/ snacks. All items we needed were provided including water, towels, blankets, extra sunscreen, even help when our friends got a little sick! There is a small convince store just down the road (about 2mins, just past the cenote) if you need a soda or snack. I recommend renting a car so you can get around to more restaurants and see the sites. This home is so comfortable, private, and the perfect place to relax while taking in beach views. The rooftop at night is not to be missed for star gazing. The birds, the view, the sun - better than expected. I recommend renting a car so you can get around to more restaurants and see the sites. We came at a heavy seaweed season in Tulum, but the front of the house was very clean and we did not find this to be an issue - just jumped into the kayaks! Would gladly stay again.

Great family vacation
Look no further. This place is awesome! Becca and company took care of our multi generational group. We had a group of friends and family ranging in age from 8-83. All were so happy with house and amenities. This house is huge and everything is nice. Food was all good and Becca will help you with anything you need. Beach restaurants nearby were all friendly and so convenient. We opted not to rent a car and it worked perfectly for our group. It is very easy to set up a trip into town, get to/from airport, etc. we seriously wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Can’t Stop Talking About this House!
We had THE BEST time and will tell anyone who will listen all about this house! We were a group of 10 adults that left feeling more relaxed than any vacation on record. It would be a great home to include kids in the fun, and we’ll be bringing back our little people on the next visit. The onsite family took impeccable care of us, The food was amazing, the house so thoughtfully designed and spacious. Everyone had their own comfortable spaces, and there were gorgeous hang out spots for the whole crew all over the property. Kayaking out in the water to snorkel the gorgeous reef was icing on the cake! We will be back! Thank you for a truly unforgettable and amazing adventure! Can’t recommend it enough!!

The property is simply perfectly situated in paradise.
We were a mixed group of adults and children and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house itself had everything we could want, the spaces were well appointed and worked for whatever we needed, whether it was yoga on the roof deck in the morning, shade in a hammock on the porch in the afternoon, or games around the table in the evening. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Casa Caribbean is a piece of Heaven
If you are thinking of staying here, don't hesitate- book it!! and definitely book the food package and have Becka spoil you with her wonderful cooking! There are 10 of us, Grandparents, two sets of parents and 4 grandchildren, we had plenty of space. lots of room for the grandkids to play in, which became very important, because after 3 days of sun, we had rain the rest of our week! in between bouts of bad wind and rain, it would luckily die down a little and the grandkids could run out and play in the sand or in the pool. The sea kayaks are wonderful, they are shallow and stable and are easy to use. lots of beach toys and pool floats are there, and we left some extras behind :). There is a large table that seats 14 on the covered patio, there are also hammocks that every one hung out on, the view from that covered patio was amazing! there is a large post that is just in the water that the birds will perch on, lots of fun for every one to watch. it was truly a wonderful week. we got back yesterday and the two year old is already saying he wants to go back to Mexico. Casa Caribbean is such an amazing property and truly lives up to it's 5 star rating. the owners call and check up after you have settled in, making sure that everything is perfect. if you have any problems, Becka has a house on property, but at the same time you don't feel like anyone is hovering over you. but she will call a taxi, for you or if you want to make reservations at one of the nature parks. she is such a sweetheart that you are glad that she is close.....and want to bring her home! they have thought of everything, big bottles of filtered water in the kitchen, and bottles in your bathroom refilled everyday. the house is cleaned daily. they have very large living room downstairs right off the pool and beach with the perfect furniture that you can sit on with your wet suit, but is still comfortable. upstairs is another living room and second kitchen to put your extra food. there is also an ice chest that Becka will put bags of ice in so you can keep your sodas and beer in and be icy cold! I truly think they have thought of everything to make your week perfect, and if you think of something and it's feasible- they will do it for you!

Wonderful House and Excellent Holiday
Wow, this was one of the best vacations I have ever had! The house is amazing, the staff is wonderful, and the owners are a real pleasure to deal with! We had 13 people in our group including my 76 year old Father who has never been outside the United States. Everyone loved the house, especially the home-cooked meals that were included. Everything was amazing and we really thank the Lessard's for the use of their house and the staff at the house for making our trip amazing!!!!

Fantastic villa with great chef in the perfect location
We just returned from a wonderful vacation at Casa Caribena. The villa was spectacular with huge places for our group of 12 to hang out and have a great time all together. I snuck off to the hammock area & roof top to read a book & take siestas. We were celebrating a birthday, so we had the “Birthday Olympics” on the beach with games we had brought and made up. We laughed so hard our stomachs hurt! We finished the birthday festivities at the rooftop pool & living area, with a delicious cake from Turtle Bay bakery. WOW!!!
This villa had everything we could ever want. We purchased the Food Package for everyone since it was so cheap, and the meals were delicious. We started each day with a very hearty breakfast & finished each evening with a delicious dinner, complete with dessert!! All the food was delicious and plentiful.
We snorkeled almost every day in the crystal-clear water and saw many fish, rays, sea fans, etc. The place where we entered the water was perfect for those people not real comfortable snorkeling. They could sit in this sandy part, 3 feet deep, put on a mask and see beautiful fish!! The water was calm & perfect for snorkeling and kayaking. We took the kayaks in and out right in front of the villa and some kayaked up and down the coast a lot. They never went outside the reef, so it was perfect with no waves or undertow!
When we wanted to play in waves and surf, we walked down the beach a few minutes and there we were at a beautiful beach with rolling waves! Some of our group walked a little further and played in the water where fresh water was bubbling up, called “Ojo de Agua” or Eye of Water. We just missed the start of turtle egg laying time but were told that the beach further up our dirt road was a major area where this happens every year. Next time we’ll return so we can see them laying their eggs and hatching.
We explored the Mayan ruins of Coba & went to a cenote that is in the book on the coffee table. The “tips” the “Guest Book” gave were wonderful! We went to a couple of the restaurants and two “Favorite Places” of the owners. All were excellent!
The owners called us to make sure all was OK and answered all the questions we had leading up to our vacation. We had a lot of them! We felt very safe everywhere we went and the area where the villa is has its own security.
We will definitely return to Casa Caribena. It was the best vacation that we’ve had!

Huge house, right on the beach. Stunning views from the rooftop deck.
We stayed here for one week in April 2018. There were 13 of us altogether (3 couples plus 7 kids, all aged between 12 and 16) and the house was a perfect fit for us. Probably could have accommodated more pretty comfortably. All the adults were able to stay in oceanfront rooms. With our kids being a little older, we were able to give them a lot of autonomy, and there were even times when we didn't know what they were up to, which is the key to really relaxing I think. We spent several evenings on the rooftop lounge enjoying beers and margaritas while pelicans buzzed us. It does get a bit windy up there sometimes, but we were never too cold, the weather was amazing. The beaches throughout Tulum area have a seaweed problem, and although the beach in front of the house was kept clean, it's spotty up and down that stretch, so it's not the greatest place for scenic beach walks. The bay in front of the house is great for snorkeling, but not good for casual swimming or body surfing because of the rocks and coral and shallow water. The temperature of the water is very warm and there's hardly any wake. We had a great time and the caretakers did a great job. We stayed for 7 days and they prepared 4 dinners and 4 breakfasts, which was the most I'd recommend. Any more than that and you don't get to try any of the tasty restaurants nearby. When we wanted to play in the surf, we went into Tulum beach and set ourselves up at Ziggy's Beach Club, where the kids could go play in the waves while the adults walked the beach or sat in the outdoor dining area and had snacks and drinks.

It is was the perfect vacation!
Well it’s been over a month, and we’re still feeling relaxed. My wife and I spent a week in October at Casa Caribena. It is was the perfect vacation. After a year of work-stress, we traveled to Tulum to spend some time away. When we arrived at Casa Caribena we knew we found the right place. The house was amazing, the staff spoiled us, and we had the most amazing week since our honeymoon (and that was quite a while ago). Looking out at the Caribbean every morning over breakfast, in the afternoons swimming in the pool and cenotes, and kayaking offshore, dinner at sunset, and drinks in the evening - just what we needed. We’d highly recommend Casa Caribena for anyone needing some time away!

Paradise
Our stay at this villa was spectacular!!! The enormous space was wonderful so people could be all together or you could go off and read a book or hang out in a hammock for a siesta. The food was delicious and we ate many of our meals at the villa. We loved the snorkeling right in front and the kayaks were lots of fun.
We will stay there again!
