We had such an amazing time staying at staying at your place. Everything we needed for our stay was available . Check in staff was amazing and super friendly. I will be recommending your place to any friends and family that are looking to visit Aruba. I will definitely return to your place in the near future.

Truly worth every cent. If you're looking to enjoy leisurely evenings away from the tourists, this is the spot.
Quick and easy check in and out. Another couple was staying on the property in the house next to us, but they were of like mind and did not want to make noise and be a bother. The siesta is real.
The snorkeling right in the back yard is great, Sea-Glass Island is a short kayak (provided by host) voyage away, and Zeerover is 5 houses down the road.
We're already looking into a return trip and stay.

Great location. Beach is small but really nice. Close to savaneta beach. Only 20 minute drive to everything on other side of island.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here and hated having to leave! The property is well represented online and even better in person. The accommodations are well thought out and we really had everything we could possibly need. Communication from Dan was great and JJ was so nice and responsive! He was also so helpful when I left something behind and I am truly grateful for that! This quiet location right on the water is truly what vacation is about.

We’ve stayed at the 2 bedroom unit with my wife and son for a week and absolutely enjoyed every aspect of this property. It’s not easy to find a property with a beachfront access. Aside from the beachfront access JJ (property manager) makes your stay truly special. Ive never met a nicer and more accommodating person, he goes above and beyond to make your stay special and hassle free.

The house is right on the beach at Savaneta, between Oranjestad and San Nicolas. Facilities are very good - kitchen & appliances, TV, wi-fi, beach access with outdoor showers. Everything you would expect. The local service folks are extremely accessible, friendly and helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay here. My significant other and I decided to do half the trip at this house and half at the resorts- we wish we did the whole thing there! The property is wonderful, there is amazing food within walking distance, and it is QUIET. JJ does a wonderful job being making sure you have everything you need. He will also give amazing recommendations.
Stay here, rent a car, and see everything on the island you can. You don’t need a resort-I promise!

The house was even nicer than than it looked online, and furnished with every convenience including snorkel masks. Beach is right out front. It’s a neighborhood-y neighborhood rather than a tourist place but there are convenient restaurants and stores within walking distance. If you rent a car, the whole island is accessible. Landlord Dan and property manager JJ are ideal hosts—accessible but not intrusive, and once we got to know them they took us out to snorkel the reef, which was a real treat. We would absolutely return!

This waterfront property is located away from a tourist area. Returning to a quiet and serene cottage after a busy beach trip and sightseeing was great. We loved frolicking at our own beach and having dinner on the patio while watching the sunset. Dan and Fiarlogene are fantastic hosts, and we enjoyed our stay very much. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you!

One of the few island rentals truly on the ocean. Comfortable indoor with exceptional outdoor spaces. We could walk out the door and be snorkeling immediately. Colorful fish just off shore and reef a short swim away. Host was very friendly and helpful. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to Zeerovers. We can’t wait to come back!

Second time here and would love to go back. If you are looking for someplace away from all the resorts and high rise hotels this is it. Very nice spot, very quiet, and a real feel for Aruba. Close to the smaller attractions, local food, and attractions.

Such a peaceful place to stay! We fished and snorkeled right outside the gate, enjoyed our Sunday Funday cookouts. Our host Janzen made sure we had everything we needed and checked in several times during our stay. This little house in Saveneta is the perfect location with 2+ of the best restaurants in walking distance. Next time we would like to rent for a month...feels like home!

Perfect getaway in local, Aruba setting. Right on the water; hear the sounds of the ocean and feel the breeze from the patio. Very responsive hosts. Every question and request answered quickly.

This house right in the water. Listening to the waves as your eating breakfast was the best. We would leave the top half of the kitchen door open and the slider door open for the best breezes to come through. We did have a bird come in and visit, he didn’t stay long. Great trip.

Such a fabulous place for a get-away. And easy walking to our two favorite restaurants on the island, Flying Fishbone and Zeerover!

If you want a quiet location on the water away from the resorts (which we did), this is the perfect location. Walk right out to the beach and into the Caribbean! Brit was a delightful host- even set us up for excellent snorkeling at Baby Beach.
We loved our stay and would stay again.
Only drawbacks- we were not aware of extra charge for utilities and there is no AC in the kitchen/living area. Bedrooms do have AC. Also the bath and beach towels could be upgraded.
All in all a wonderful stay.

The villa was the perfect getaway location for our family's week in Aruba. Brit and Mike were incredible hosts. Their hospitality and guidance throughout the week set them apart from previous hosts/property managers that we've experienced at other properties, as they treated us as friends from the moment that we arrived. With the beach, a hammock, and lounge chairs right there, we and our two teenage kids were able to recharge and spend time together as a family, a much needed break from our typical, chaotic schedule. That being said, not once did our very active son ever say he was bored. With great snorkeling right at the property, he always had somewhere to go when he wanted to burn off extra energy. Our daughter was happy to spend a lot of time relaxing in the hammock or lounging in the sun when not snorkeling herself. We all spent hours right there in the ocean, whether snorkeling or just floating in one of the inflatable recliners. The location within Aruba was perfect, as the villa is only about 15-20 minutes from Baby Beach in one direction or the port area for souvenir shopping in the other direction. There are two great restaurants within walking distance. When out and about, we always tried to get back for the amazing sunsets. When we didn't feel like wandering out, we could grill right at our place and enjoy meals in our covered outdoor living area. If you want to get away and stay somewhere other than the mega-resorts (where one never really gets to experience Aruba and must walk across roads to access the ocean), this is the place for your next family vacation.

We had the best vacation ever! Spent our first week in the high rise district then moved to the cottage for 4 weeks. The cottage was much more relaxing. The property owner, Brit, could not have been nicer. She invited us for dinner on the beach with the guests at the other cottage and some friends. The cottage and set up allow you to be as private or social as you like. We enjoyed some of the local restaurants and take out spots. Did some exploring of the island, particularly the south end and found some great local restaurants. BTW, the beach is just steps away from your cottage door. If your thinking about going, dont hesitate to book this great little cottage. #ONEHAPPYISLAND.

The best thing about this property is the fact that you can be in the water in a matter of seconds snorkeling and enjoying the beautiful water. There is seating outside which we took advantage of to enjoy the view and especially the sunsets. The rental unit does leave several things to be desired and needs to be refreshed. The lighting should be improved as we were unable to read at night except while lying in bed. I had to hold a mirror by the window in the kitchen so my husband could put in and take out his contact lenses because the bathroom had insufficient lighting. The kitchen dishes, silverware, etc. needed a thorough cleaning with hot water when we arrived. We were surprised to learn that electricity usage was not included in the rental rate as we did not have prior notification. During our visit it was very hot and humid requiring us to run the air conditioner while sleeping.
We enjoyed dining at Marina Pirata and with its beautiful view, great food and friendly service you are sure to enjoy it. Zeeovers had a limited menu but with delicious fresh seafood, lots of locals, great location and friendly staff it is a must. Antesala Cafe is modern and offers delicious breakfast and lunch options. We enjoyed talking to the owner about Aruba. These three restaurants are located in Savaneta and you can walk to Zeeovers.
We have rented many other properties and have never written a review. Having found nothing negative in the reviews about this rental we felt obligated to write this. We rent our vacation home and because we use the home we know what is needed for everyday conveniences. We think if the owners stayed in the unit, they could make the improvements needed and make for a better experience for the renters.
Bert was a pleasure to work with. He answered all our texts promptly. We looked forward to seeing him when he visited the property. We can’t thank him enough!

House is right on the water, yet gated, so very safe feeling. The house is part of a compound of three structures, with the owners house in the middle of the two rentals. We had everything we needed for our stay except groceries which were close by. Great snorkeling and fishing opportunities right in the back yard!

Just returned from our ten day stay. It is very quite and private. The beach is small but adequate. It is a public beach that the locals use also but everyone is nice. Good snorkeling and the sunsets are amazing. Brit was an amazing host!! He was full of information and help. The villa is adequately supplied. We stayed in the 2 BR villa. By the way the drinking water is amazing! Bring your reusable water bottle! Plastic water bottles are frowned upon for good reason! I highly recommend for anyone who wants a quite vacation away from the hustle and bustle of high rise area. Thank you Brit for being a exemplary host.🏝🌅

We spent 2 weeks in this lovely quiet area of Aruba in January, unlike the crowds and traffic of the large hotel areas. Our little house had very comfortable accommodations, a nicely sized kitchenette for cooking, as groceries are not as expensive as many Caribbean islands.
Our shaded patio was surrounded by pretty plantings and we had a lovely view of the water, with beautiful sunsets, and delicious swimming just steps away. We were daily entertained by dozens of little yellow birds at our feeder hanging in the tree in the patio. Lights at night beautifully illuminated the old divi-divi tree by the water.
The weather was comfortable all day with gentle breezes, an occasional shower lasting just minutes. We found that some air conditioner at night was helpful.
Our gracious hosts made every effort to satisfy requests, and generously shared water ‘toys’. While this is not as glamorous as the modern hotels, the privacy and beauty of this little area made for a beautiful vacation. I look forward to another visit next year!

The property is exactly as described. It is uniquely situated right on the beach. After a short drive from the airport, we experienced a very warm welcome by the owner. Since we arrived late in the evening, she had asked us in advance what groceries we would like so we arrived to a stocked kitchen. During our stay loved to hang out on our private porch, from breakfast in the shade through to the spectacular sunset. And the owner hung a reading chair especially for my daughter while my son hung out in the hammock. The sandy beach is lovely and the water very clear. We borrowed the snorkeling equipment and kayak for some spectacular snorkeling and kayaking. The shops in Savaneta are very close and Zeerover is a great restaurant around the corner. We're a family of four from the Netherlands and we'd love to stay here again!

We enjoyed the guest house with all the amenities especially the air conditioning in the bedroom. It was nice that we had our own little mini beach to soak in the warm waters of the Caribbean. We enjoyed snorkeling and fishing directly from our beach area. Water was very warm and clear. Bert, the caretaker was super hospitable and accommodating. Very wonderful to have met him, always helpful & cheerful. The grocery market is nearby as well as a wonderful fish market/restaurant called Zeerovers. I would highly recommend eating there. Overall our stay was peaceful & recharging.
5.0 / 5.0
I stayed at this beautiful Caribbean property twice, once in the winter and then again in the summer, once in the larger two- bedroom house and the other in the Romantic one -bedroom casa. Each house is air conditioned and has a kitchen, and I loved them both.
On our first visit in February, we shared the larger house with friends we had not seen in a while, and we loved the fact that it felt like we were in our very own home with privacy and also a shared living room/kitchen area. We loved our visit so much that we took a chance in returning in what we feared might be the too-hot summer season. To our delight, we found the weather not noticeably different from what it had been in the winter.
I am a writer, and I was generally very happy sitting outside on the porch of whichever house I was staying in, writing. Sometimes, I took my computer and sat on the beach where there is wifi as well to continue my research, write and enjoy the music (my choice classical!) that is piped throughout the property. I loved the fact that it took just a few seconds to take a break to sway in the hammock overlooking the beach and shimmering Caribbean waters and watch the fishing boats come in.
While My companion was off snorkeling at the nearby reef, I was ecstatic just plunging into the turquoise waters that glimmered only a few feet away from the property’s charming beach. I really felt that I was part of the scenery and part of the surroundings….that I belonged there. Civilization was not too far away (grocery stores, pizza, fabulous restaurants….the nearby Flying Fishbone, an elegant ocean-side milieu where diners can watch the cruise boats pass by while running their toes through the sand…. is my all-time favorite!). Best of all though, is enjoying a cool drink on “your own” porch, watching the sun go down.
I should mention that the second time we visited, the hosts were there, and they made us feel so welcome, as if we were part of the family. We look forward to seeing them again on our next visit.
Before discovering Savaneta, we had spent three summers in the Hotel District enjoying the “hustle and bustle.” But truth be told, we craved something different. We found it at this retreat, and I could not recommend it more highly! Just stay away from “my” hammock! :)

I stayed here for 10 days and it was an awesome experience. The house is right on the water with amazing snorkeling right off the shore. The house not only had snorkeling gear, but also a kayak that we took out to this amazing party island across the channel (locals built a shelter on the island for big seasonal parties). It was really cool to be in an actual local neighborhood with many English speakers that live in Aruba year round. A couple doors down there is a fantastic local fish restaurant where they buy the catches right off the fishing boat (they own the docs that the fisherman unload on). The house is a great villa type house with three buildings. It was incredibly relaxing. I would swim up the channel some mornings and float back down to the house. You are a short drive from the capital and I did the casino/resort thing a couple nights, but you are far enough away to avoid the tourists if you want too. This side of Aruba has some amazing beaches, national park (I suggest going 4 wheeling) and snorkeling. Oh, there is also a smoothie shop on the side of the road near the house that makes the best smoothies I've ever had in my life. Definitely worth a visit.

This was the perfect way to see Aruba. Away from all the low-quality tourist-trap section, tucked away in a sleepy little fishing village, the experience could not be richer and more authentic. Also you really cannot get closer to the beach than this; It's literally on it! Which mean free snorkeling and diving straight from the living room. Great times... I'll be back soon for sure.
