Absolutely the best kept secret on Oahu, the Hawaiian Princess Resort is only 45 minutes away from the airport, less than an hour from Waikiki, and a world away from the crowds. Located on the sunny leeward coast of the island, this condo is situated on a long white sandy beach. Enjoy a quiet, peaceful morning walk along the shore where you may be the only one on the beach. Watch spectacular sunsets over the ocean as you dine on your private lanai. Fall asleep each night listening to the rhythm of the waves right outside your door.
The ocean in front of the condo has abundant aquatic life. You can swim with the many sea turtles that frequent the area, or spot tropical reef fish and an occasional eel while snorkeling. Watch the dolphins play in the cove. In the winter, observe the whales from your private lanai. Even the endangered Monk seal occasionally pays a visit to the beach. When the surfs up, you can boogie board or even try surfing. All of these activities can be experienced right outside your front door. Resort amenities also include a pool, jacuzzi, picnic area, tennis court, barbeque grill, and a game room. Also, within a very short distance you will find two outstanding golf courses, deep sea fishing, and fine dining.
Our upscale condo has been recently remodeled. with the best of everything. Amenities include a fantastic bedroom with a wall-mounted flat screen TV, engraved banana leaf furniture and a king-size bed with a luxurious memory foam mattress topped with Hawaiian quilt and shams. It also has a spectacular, fully furnished kitchen with cherry wood cabinets including a built-in hutch, an engraved and hammered copper sink, GE Profile appliances, Silestone countertops and a tropical bamboo ceiling. The bathroom has a beautifully tiled, large walk-in shower with the ever popular, rain style showerhead and horizontal body jets. There is also an engraved copper sink and Danze bamboo faucets complimenting the cherry vanity.
The condo has a large capacity washer and dryer and bamboo flooring throughout. The living room has a queen-size sofa sleeper, large screen, smart TV. The sunset-ocean view from the lanai (and living room and kitchen) is nothing short of breathtaking. The condo has been decorated in tropical colors and accented with bamboo wall coverings.
The condo comes equipped with all linens, kitchenware and beach equipment that you will need for your stay in paradise. No expense has been spared to make this condo one-of-a-kind. Note: This part of the island is a mixture of socio-economic backgrounds. We have multimillion dollar homes mixed with lower income housing and unfortunately, some homeless camps. There are camps on the west side because of the great weather, but there are homeless all over the island, especially in the big city. The average price of a home is well over a million dollars here. That prices a lot of people out of paradise. That being said, you are much more likely to be a victim of a crime in Waikiki or at a tourist destination than you would be at the Hawaiian Princess. We are a gated and secure building. Most people leave their lanai doors open 24/7 to let the breeze come in and to hear the sights and sounds of the ocean. Just as an FYI, we live in the area, and we have never had an incident related to the homeless, except maybe someone holding a sign looking for a meal or a couple of dollars.

Owner was very quick to respond to questions and we could tell that she took pride in her property and the comfort of the guests. Beach was very clean and quiet—just a handful of other people there. The building/property itself was clean & well-maintained. No issues whatsoever.
Yes, there are A LOT of homeless people in the neighborhood surrounding the property but this in no way impacts the experience. If you like a peaceful retreat away from the rest of the tourists and Honolulu traffic—this is perfect. Everything you need is just a quick drive and you can easily get to the other side of the island in less than 1-1.5 hrs depending on traffic. We would absolutely stay here again.

Condo was perfect, lots of towels and dishes, balcony was great for listening and watching the ocean, the beach was beautiful and the water was great for swimming. The only minor issue was the area the condo is located in, never had an specific issue with any homeless, and the parking lot is gated so never felt unsafe or uncomfortable, but the huge number of homeless just outside the gates was interesting to say the least. To go out to dinner was a little bit of a drive (20 min), but the Tamura grocery store had lots of supplies and grab and go food items to get us through our stay. Overall love the vacation and am so glad we chose to stay in this particular unit. Also fantastic communication with the host.

There is a great view to the beautiful beach from the balcony. The sunsets are spectacular! The bedding was comfortable, but the mattress is soft, if you have any back issues. There are homeless people in the surrounding community, but there is security to get into the condominium with a key fob from both the road and beach, and also to access the elevator. The food choices are somewhat limited, compared to larger areas on Oahu.
We thorougly enjoyed our vacation! Thank you!

Nice ocean front high-rise condo on the upper west side of Oahu away from the crowds of Honolulu. Well equipped including beach gear and now one set of snorkel equipment which we left for others. Perfect sunsets. Residents and other vacationers were all friendly. The neighboring area of Waianae has a large homeless population but the property is secure. We really had no complaints and will probably come back at some point in the future. Aloha.

We had a great time. The property was as expected and had the most amazing views! Sitting on the balcony drinking your coffee every morning was wonderful. The sounds of the ocean and AC in the bedroom made for a most restful sleep. The amount of homeless people on the way to the condo was very sad. They never bothered us nor made you feel unsafe. The beach was awesome and barely had anyone on it. The tide can be tricky so we saw lots of unsuspecting people get knocked down by the waves. You must try shave ice at Magic Mountain down the road a short distance from the condo. Delish! Everyone was pretty friendly and we enjoyed visiting the USS Arizona Memorial and the Polynesian Cultural Center. Great anniversary trip for us! Mahalo for allowing us to enjoy your little piece of heaven.

Everything from the well outfitted condo to the facilities, pool, hot tub, common areas, grilling area and outdoor rinsing stations were well maintained and welcoming. But the best parts of this location were the VIEW from the balcony and the beach! We sat on the balcony most mornings we were on site, drinking tea and coffee and watching for the sea turtles that swim by regularly. We even got to see a monk seal playfully swim through the bay one day! We made use of the beach umbrella and chairs as well as the boogie boards. Do not let the drive turn you away. Traffic was easy and it was no more than 35-50 minutes to anywhere on the island. Maybe a bit more to the far northeast side. We went everywhere!
Make sure you drive all the way up the coast to the state park at the end. Beautiful beach and shore.
One last note….we had reserved another site for the second half of our stay on Oahu and when we got there, we were surprised by a kitchen with an open wall, sewage construction out front, and workers wanting to be in the unit while we were staying there! Kathy ended up letting us come back to the Hawaiian Princess and she saved our vacation!!! We will definitely tell all our friends about this rental and will come back to stay again in the future! Thanks Kathy!

We had a great time. The property was as expected and had the most amazing views! Sitting on the balcony drinking your coffee every morning was wonderful. This condo is situated on a quiet beach that offers blue water and turtles that swim past each day. The condo has all the necessities for a comfortable stay, and the bed is heavenly. The condo itself was very clean and modern. The only downfall was the drive to attractions. Traffic also backs up on this side of the island. Despite this, I would stay here again. The other guests and the staff were friendly and offered good suggestions.

Great views from our lanai with great weather everyday. The amenities were perfect you really don’t need to leave the condo at all. 40 mins away from airport so time your travel and tours wisely but other than that we had a great relaxing time.

During the school year, the main highway gets a bit hectic as there are several schools along it - but nothing that can't be avoided with a little planning. Great place and the owner is one of the best I've ever worked with. She answered every question I had and was always so quick to offer suggestions - couldn't have asked for better. I cannot recommend this condo more when traveling to the island!! It had everything we needed plus absolutely stunning view!
