The AC didn’t work for a day and a half. It was too hot to sleep. The house is absolutely beautiful but filled with things that could be broken especially if you have a dog. It says it is dog friendly, or dogs are allowed, but it does not specify that everything in the house is valuable or looks valuable. The location is great.

I put a lot of stock in guest reviews, and they were on point for this listing!
The house is even better than it appears in the photos. It is incredibly bright and cheerful, and it is so charming to stay in a place with such a sense of personality and history. You can tell that it is a much beloved home. It is full of wonderful art; my personal favorite was the huge, medieval city (?) sketch (watercolor?) in the darling studio.
The location truly can’t be beat: on a gorgeous, tree-lined, friendly, PEACEFUL street, with a beautiful view at the bay dock - and yet just steps away from multiple good restaurants, and just around the corner from the main drag, with many more restaurants and shops.
The host was very easy to communicate with, as was access to the house.
One thing I really loved that isn’t mentioned or obvious from the pictures is that the backyard has really good visual privacy. I always feel weird when I’m sitting on a patio and can be seen by neighbors. Not here!
FYI to future guests: the second bedroom (with the full-size bed and the futon) - along with the second bathroom with shower stall - is up the stairs in a beautiful, airy, bright loft with no door or walls fully separating it from downstairs. As such, most of the space has decent visual privacy, but not sound privacy, with the downstairs open common area (kitchen, dining, living, foyer, hallway to downstairs primary bedroom). Didn’t bother us but mentioning for those who may need to know.

Everything at this property was just about perfect for two professionals and their dog needing a break from the city. It’s a well appointed and organized house - very quiet, and the house opens onto lovely garden/yard providing both privacy and sunshine. Yet I t also located just minutes walking to the main town grocery, restaurants, stores. It had everything we needed for a comfortable one week stay - and everything about the house in really great shape and thoughtfully arranged and chosen with care Loved our stay at this gem of a place.

We love Greenport and plan to retire in the next year or so to the area…the week in town has locked in that plan for us…. the home was convenient to walk to town, stocked with everything you needed and so clean. Marta was very responsive to our questions and even picked up the beach parking passes for us. We would absolutely return to this home again for another week or 2..

Unique contemporary home
I had a wonderful 2 week stay in this lovely home. The house is sunny with multiple floor-to-ceiling windows. The two story design is efficient & spacious. The furnishings & the decor are artful. The back yard is thoughtfully landscaped. It was my first visit to Greenport (a truly sweet town), and I enjoyed walking around town. As described, the house is within walking distance from the center of town (shops & market). The house is on a quiet tree lined block which ends in a cul de sac by the water. The host was responsive to my inquiries before & during my stay. I would stay here again.

Lovely home in perfect location
The pup & I enjoyed a wonderful week at this special home. Lots of unique artistic and architectural touches inside and out. And a perfect location to enjoy the village (just a few mins walk) when not enjoying the sunny living space and backyard. We will definitely be back!

Garbage issue
House and description were more or less accurate. However it was not until I was to arrive that I was told that I had to remove my garbage to a local dump fifteen minutes away by car. I did not rent a car as greenport is a walking town. This was an inconvenience and had I known I wouldn’t have rented the house for more than six nights. I cut my trip short by 12 days. I think it should have been listed in the description etc.

Delightful stay!
Had a lovely stay at this sweet cottage in June. Easy walk to town, dock just down the block. Well set up for 2-3 people and my elderly mother was very happy with the ease of access in the 1st floor bedroom/bath. Would recommend.

Wonderful Week!
We had a wonderful week at this lovely house in Greenport. It was perfect for two of us WFH, and our senior dog. Well appointed with everything we needed - the artwork, skylights and design features were especially appreciated. Ideally located within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, with farm stands just a quick drive a few miles away. It was cold and rainy all week, but we all loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful house, wonderful location
My husband and I stayed in this property for a week in February. The owner was easy to communicate with and very accommodating, even allowing a last-minute request. The house was impeccable, comfortable, and very artistically decorated. I can just image how lovely it would be in nice weather. It's just the right size for 2 people wfh. The location is perfect--a short walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the brewery. We enjoyed staying here and highly recommend this location!

Gorgeous home
This home is inviting, warm, and inspirational, with a beautiful artistic flare. It's a small, gorgeous space that is laid out in a thoughtful way, perfect for 2 or 4 people. It sits in a perfect location, walkable to everything. We loved our stay here and would love to rent it again!
My only complaint would be that we were looking forward to using the bicycles and windsurfer that were promised in the description, but there was only one bicycle and after spending a couple hours trying to assemble the windsurfer, we determined that it was missing the downhaul, so it couldn't be used.

Perfect layout and location
We stayed at this beautiful home with our family of 4. It was an architecturally interesting place with cool artwork and details throughout. The location could not have been better. It is a block from the main village of Greenport where there are many choices for restaurants, shopping and admiring the boats. We appreciated details about the house such as colorful flowers in the yard, a gas and charcoal grill, a nespresso machine and bikes and a kayak. Marta was extremely responsive to every question that we had. We highly recommend this property and hope to come back some day.

Lovely get away spot
Bright and airy home, with air con which was a pleasant surprise during a hot summer week. Easy parking and walk to town, the dock or just relax. Great location to appreciate all that the east end of the north fork has to offer.

Ideal spot in Greenport
Our party of three rented Marta's lovely and sunny home for our semi-annual long-weekend wine trip to the North Fork. The architecture and space is exactly as pictured, and we loved the individual and artistic touches. The home is on a leafy side street steps from Peconic River views and an easy two-block walk to shops and restaurants. It's a quiet, comfortable, well-appointed home. We would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful open space, bright comfortable aura, very clean
This house has a cool assortment of windows and architecture and I would love to return in the summer! Large desk in a lovely skylit area for working if needed, and good wifi/coffee. Superb location too.

Charming house, perfect escape!
This cozy little house offers a lot of peace and tranquility. It is immaculately cared for and obviously the home of creative and interesting owners. You will feel well cared for if you stay here. I came in winter, so did not get to use the grill, kayak and picnic basket they generously offer for use. Zero complaints, lots of compliments!

Beautiful modern design and light filled space!
We had a great time in the house. Every detail is so well designed and the light is terrific. The Avenue is serene and there are winter water views upstairs. We enjoyed the board games and easily were able to watch movies. It is also so convenient to all Greenport offers! It did take a few hours for the house to warm up but that is easily solved. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might want to cook but there are also many restaurants within two-three blocks. Thank you for a lovely stay! We will be back! Greenport off season is the best.

Great Location! Love Greenport and North Fork!
The house on Bay Avenue is a perfect location for a relaxing vacation in Greenport.
At the public dock , just a few houses down from the house, we enjoyed morning coffee with boat watching and checking out the full moon over the water before bed. Days can be spent touring beautiful wineries and beaches. All the shops, restaurants, breweries, bars, and docks that Greenport has to offer are within a couple of tree lined blocks. You can walk to everything! The house is very comfortable,in a quiet very nice neighborhood, and had everything we needed. We loved all the flowers and the backyard! Having a parking space off the street was a real bonus! Thanks Marta!
