Place was as described, host was excellent. Nice spot on a beautiful lake

Our family had a lovely stay. We especially loved the paddle boards and the game room. Relaxing home with gorgeous views in close proximity to Clemson. Highly recommend!
4.8
Lake Keowee is a pristine, clear body of water, and this property is perfectly nestled away in a cozy corner, far away from the main boat lanes. The lake is so clear, we accidentally dropped a few things in the water near the dock and had no trouble putting on some goggles and diving down to get them.
Also, there are so many good hikes located nearby. Recommend Todd Creek Falls, a short drive away with a 20-foot waterfall and a swimming hole.

The expansive water views and ample dock are the winning aspects of this property. The furnishings and mattresses all need updated and there were many elements that were just worn out or stained or uncomfortable. It was a good stay overall. The home is conveniently located. Host is very responsive and helpful. Uber Eats and Instacart both deliver.

This was the perfect place for friends and family to celebrate my son's graduation from Clemson Univ. The house is very nice and the owner has thought of everything....well equipped kitchen, plenty of bath towels, extra blankets, and tons of games in the downstairs rec room. Plenty to do outside too if you like to paddleboard or kayak, Or just enjoy the fantastic views from the upper deck! Highly recommend.

Great spot for our family get together! Exceptionally clean and well stocked! Beautiful views of Lake Keowee! Large bedrooms. Highly recommend!

Lots of active things to do and also a great place to chill. We all had a fantastic time during our stay. Highly recommend this great place and it's helpful hosts.

Perfect place for weekend getaway!

Exactly as advertised, covered dock was great and the house had everything we needed! Super close to War Path boat ramp.

Beautiful property. The host was very informative and accommodating. They have made sure all provisions for an excellent family vacation are provided, all you have to do is show up! My whole family enjoyed all they had to offer fishing, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, games etc!
4.8
Great location for doing water sports with family. Owner and house were super nice. Great views and lots of extras ( paddle boards, canoes , games, etc) to make our time on the lake extra special.
4.8
Lots of fun playing pool, Jenga and cards in our time spent at the property. Close to Clemson for shopping, restaurants and the Clemson football game.

This property was exactly as advertised. It was clean, large enough, had lots of fun things to do and right on the lake. 15 minute drive to downtown Clemson.

The view from the deck is it's best attribute. We had to use our own chairs though as the chairs on the deck were pretty much rotten. Also the railing on the deck is a little scary. I have a hard time believing it's to code as the railing is only held on by 2x2s nailed into the base. I warned every to not lean against it - it's a long way down. The inside of the house was very clean but there were a number of repairs that needed attention. I don't believe any yard work had been done in weeks as steps down to the lake were very over grown and a lot of the mulch had washed out of the beds with a good bit of it on the deck down by the lake. For the price I just guess I had higher expectations.

Our party of 8 tremendously enjoyed our stay at the Bass House. Tyler, our host is a fantastic host and we knew exactly what to expect and what was expected of us. We had a couple of small things come up during our stay and he responded in less than an hour each time. The kitchen was very well supplied including a slow cooker, which is very unusual for a rental. Lots of silverware, plates, glasses for a large group. Outdoor activities were great as well with paddle boards, canoe and kayak at our disposal. Then house is located in a quiet cove that allowed us to have some much needed peace and rest.

We really enjoyed our stay the view was beautiful I can’t say enough about how relaxing and peaceful this place is I highly recommend this property

This house was great, roomy for all the family, really enjoyed the covered dock, fire pit for s’mores, kayaks and paddle boards were lots of fun. If you want to catch fish you have to go somewhere else, maybe it was too hot. The 3 things I would change on the outside of the cabin, 1) cut the azaleas down so that you can see the water from the basement 2) clean the landscape in the back yard (wild blackberries growing everywhere)and 3) clean the steps beside the house, they were VERY SLICK when it rained. The inside of the cabin was perfect. TRULY ENJOYED OUR VACATION HERE

We had two families staying on the lake for a week and had a fantastic time! The house was the perfect size for us and we all had an amazing time. The property owner was very easy to get in touch with and always very responsive!

Overall very good experience, we would go back. Absolutely gorgeous view of the lake.

We had a wonderful time. The location and views are amazing. The property is well kept and clean.

Fantastic location with wide views of the sunset across the lake. The sunrise was just as lovely, watching the changing fog on the lake. Easy drive to town for the grocery store and to nearby parks for a hike. The house is well appointed with games, fire pit, grill and all you need in the kitchen. Would recommend this house.
4.8
My family and I enjoyed our stay. The lake was beautiful and the house was very comfortable.
4.8
The lake is one of the most beautiful lakes we have seen. So clear you can see the bottom. The property location is great no boats or jet skis in the area very calm for swimming and paddle boarding. The property provided paddle boards, kayaks, floats and the covered dock are all incentives for this property. As well as the pool table, corn hole and the grill. There was plenty of room for our family of 6. The area is very quiet and great views. We would definitely recommend and would enjoy another stay in the future. Great place to relax and spend quality time with our family. Note… would list on property description the many steps down to the dock. Could be difficult for some people. Also 2 additional chairs at the table would be nice so the family could sit around the table but glad there was the high top. Thanks for our memories.
4.8
The view of the lake is stunning! The house is well stocked with plenty of games, activities and kitchen ware. Our group especially enjoyed the pool table and paddle boards! The only note is that there is a lack of paper towels and cleaning supplies, so you may want to bring your own.

I don't like giving negative reviews but I feel like in this case I have no choice and want to spare others the sub par vacation we had due to issues with a property not properly maintained or cared for with apathetic owners.
The lake and location are quite nice though closer to the power plant then I would prefer, I did know this going into it and still a lovely place and area.
However the house is need of serious repairs and updating from the furniture to appliances to almost every aspect of the house. Even the dollar store pool noodles would barely float, which shows how much care the upkeep this house has.
The lake is a solid 5 flights of scary wobbly rocky steps down to the dock - the outdoor area is overgrown and super buggy. The furniture, especially outside, is falling apart and dangerous. Even the deck felt like at any moment might collapse.
While the house was obviously cleaned before the arrival there were areas that could have been cleaner, ie crusty spots on the soft furniture. The carpet looks like it was stained for the past 20 years and never properly cleaned. If you rent the house bring your own supplies, cleaning supplies, cook wear, etc. What they have there is awful condition or unusable. The dock and having a boat available (that we rented separately) was the only saving grace of the rental. The water toys like kayaks and paddle boards are not usable and icky quite frankly. The refrigerator barely works and held together with tape (literally).
The worst part of the trip was the Air conditioner which did not work that great to start, broke 2 days into our vacation. This made the upstairs unlivable with temps in 100s, we had 2 kids with us who who started having symptoms of heat stroke because it went out during the night and got so hot. The property owners were notified but honestly showed little to no empathy. Took 4 days to get it fixed and had people sleeping on the floors until it was fixed. Sleeping on the floor was not the vacation we had planned or paid for and were immensely disappointed and just sad. While things happen and there's not a lot you can do about it, seemed like the owners wanted to do the least about it and lowest cost to them.
I will not be renting this house again and suggest the owners stay in their own house to understand how much serious updating it needs before renting it to other people - turn off the air conditioning in the when its 90+ and see how fun that is for a vacation.

The house was perfect for my family. It was clean and the lake was so beautiful. We didn’t leave the house and enjoyed all the water toys. The privacy and dock made it a perfect vacation spot. Owners were easy to communicate with.

I struggle with writing this review. I am not one who wants to leave a so so review. My friends all said I should be honest. I wish to say the Bass House is in a great location with awesome views. But the house shows a lot of wear and many things in need of repair. I was dismayed at the disorganized cabinets in the kitchen. I voluntarily organized them so I could see what was there. I found several things throughout the house and dock that were either missing, old, rusted, or broken and needed to be thrown out and replaced. When I texted Tyler about the rusted out grills and fire pit not usable, he did offer to replace them. He did send a new fire pit per my request. I am grateful for that. The cleaning lady (very nice lady) delivered it and placed it on the downstairs porch. There were no chairs to sit by the fire pit. We had to borrow the two beach chairs on the upstairs bedroom balcony and two metal chairs way down by the dock.. (and put them back). We did enjoy the fire pit. We made the best of our stay to enjoy ourselves. As an ex-owner of a rental property, I wanted to help Tyler out. I sent several emails with a list of things I saw that needed attention and suggestions to improve the place. He did not comment on my inputs, so I do not know where he stands. I do hope he takes a look at some of things that need repairs for they could become a hazard. This place looks like nothing has been done to it in a very long time but has potential. I wish Tyler success with this property.

Beautiful location on the lake. The sunsets were stunning. We did some great waterfall hikes in the mornings and spent the afternoons swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Highly recommend this lake house

Second time at the house. Fabulous views from the deck and dock. Very private location but very convenient to Clemson and activities. Beds very comfortable — great game room on lower level. Owner very easy to communicate with. A peaceful respite.

The Bass House has one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. It is 1000% worth it for the sunset. The lake is beautiful. The house is wonderful, the owner is responsive, and we had a lovely time.

House was great! We enjoyed all of the water activities - kayaks, paddle boards, swimming. We had one rainy day and there were also tons of indoor activities to keep everyone busy. The house was very nice and there were plenty of beds for everyone. Tyler was great to work with. Will visit again!

Great location, beautiful lake frontage and views. We loved all the games and "toys" to play with... pretty much used everything from kayaks, corn hole, darts, billiards, etc. Well stocked house as far as kitchen items. Can't say enough good about it..... we only live 1 1/2 hours away and will definitely be back frequently.
