About this house rental
This is not just a house for rent it is a home with family memories and local history displayed throughout. This home was built by my father in the 1950s. We finished a complete renovation in 2015, and it feels like a retreat.
It has an attached two car carport. Two ingress/egress points: carport door & Bayside door. The carport door opens into a full kitchen with laundry. It has full size appliances with front loading washer/dryer and it is fully stocked with the basic necessities and essentials required for a pleasant stay. The kitchen opens into the family room with games, tv, dvd player, wireless speaker & fireplace. Through the living room you come to the bay room and dining room with huge windows to take in the gorgeous views of the bay, port & marina. The hall off the LR leads to the bedrooms & baths. First you come to the twin bed room that is equipped with a tv & bay view. Next is the queen size bed room with bay view. Across from these rooms is the main bath with tub & shower. Further down the hall is the master bedroom with a king bed, private bath, reading area and also with a bay view.
Now for the outside. Just outside the bay side door is an outside shower and fenced in side yard with plenty of shade. Right next to that is a relaxing brick patio with a wood burning fire pot, table & chairs and beautiful bay view. Also on the bay side of the house is a large deck with rocking chairs, dining table, benches and a sail shade for you to relax and enjoy the views and the wonderful bay breeze. From the deck and all the bayside windows you can see the huge grass front yard that is a certified wildlife habitat for birds and butterflies which leads to your private bay front beach complete with beach chairs and fire pit. Take a look at the photos tab to get a taste of what you might see from the beach and deck.
The house is stocked with bath towels/cloths, soaps, detergents, cleaning supplies, hair dryers, flat iron, magnifying mirror, iron & ironing board, dvds and a special 'forget me not' basket with most anything you might have forgotten. You are also welcome to enjoy the 'put-n-take' library just at the hall entrance. We didn't forget about the furry guests. We have a large crate, dog beds, bowls, leash, brush, toys and towels for your dog. We have a dogs only pet policy.
We offer nightly and weekly rates throughout the year. Monthly rates are available for October through February during which time we will rent for a maximum of 31 days per stay.

This was an amazing home. We all loved the area and the house. The bay beach area was perfect for those double red flag beach days. The sunrises and sunsets were on point. Ellen and Robbie are amazing hosts. We look forward to going back.

We picked this place because it was close to Saint Andrews Marina since this was basically a fishing trip but I would recommend it for families or anyone. The managers were the best of any property where I have stayed.

Charming old style beach house. Very clean and spacious. The host was accommodating and helped us with everything we needed.

The feedback from the people I rented the house for were absolutely in love with the amenities, and they had nothing but nice things to say about the house and the host!

A wonderful, peaceful getaway with beautiful views of St. Andrews Bay. The owners are thoughtful with their rental home by providing every little detail you would need for a relaxing stay. This extends to your pet(s) too! Items like water bowls, toys, leashes, tags, dog towels and blankets plus a well-kept outdoor shower & wash area for your furry friends. For the humans ... Comfortable beds with super clean bedding and clean home with a fresh smell I loved. Lots of interesting books and photos about the St. Andrews area. Comfy couch and chairs. Large dining room with beautiful view of bay. By the water there is a fire pit area with sturdy large chairs AND they provide chopped wood along with a cart to transport to beach. I could go on-and-on about the nice amenities and great location. Make sure to get fresh seafood at Buddy Gandy's Seafood close by. My husband and I have stayed at houses and cabins all over the place and this one by far was one of the cleanest, well-kept we've stayed at. All 'pros', maybe the only 'con' would be not enough quality cookware (fry pans are worn) and no sharp knives in kitchen but that's me ... I'm a gal that likes to cook. Believe me, there are a LOT of great restaurants around to not have to cook. Oh, and my husband mentioned a 'con' for the fishing people ... the bay is shallow there. Bring your water shoes to walk out for deeper fishing. But again ... no need to catch your fish dinner with all the great places to eat close by.

Beautiful location and everything is as stated. We were in town for our son's wedding and the house worked well for us - 5 adults and 1 toddler. We liked the private beach but was only a few minutes from anything we needed from food, recreational activities and most importantly the wedding. I think we only used a couple of items but the stocked pantry was great and availbilty of incidentals was great and appreciated. Even a basket of beach toys for the kids!
Would definately stay again if we were going to be in the area.

These hosts thought of EVERYTHING! From a shared pantry in case you forgot something to dog leashes, toys, bedding and towels! Stunning scenery, quiet surroundings and a 15 minute drive across the bridge to the beach. Read the literature provided to give some insight to the decor and warm feeling of this home. Clean, clean, clean too!
We will be booking again!

This is such a hidden gem! Ellen and Robbie were so nice and the home was perfect! It is older and decorated older but it’s so wonderful! We will definitely be back. House was clean, very well stocked, and couldn’t be a better place to enjoy Panama City!

This was an amazing house and location for a relaxing vacation! The house had so much character and interesting aspects throughout the house that made for great conversations.
Being located a few steps from the warm calm bay water was perfect for relazing evening after being at the gulf beaches or out playing golf.
The owners were great and can't thank them enouh for such a wonderful home to enjoy our vacation in.
Downside: next door there was a very talkative and sometimes loud bird at the neighbors which caused some issues at night with our son and dogs but tolerable.

Everything about this place was perfect. Cleanliness, location and privacy, just to name a few. Ellen and Robbie we’re wonderful hosts, giving us our privacy but easily accessible if you need them. We can’t wait to come back next year.

This was by far the most accommodating vacation rental that I've ever stayed in. The owners made sure that we had everything we might need. I would most definitely recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a quiet get away.

Thank you for providing such a quiet and secluded get away for us. Your home had everything we needed and we really appreciated how clean and well organized everything was. We hope to be able to stay here again in the future! We did not get to sit out by the water but walked out there and saw that it would be a very relaxing spot. We loved watching all the birds and squirrel that also consider your land their home!

The location, the home, and the private beach were a special, private piece of paradise. Two teachers and their two dogs sun bathed, read, eat, kayaked, and laughed. This was the most amazing vacation rental spot I have ever been to. The hosts, Ellen and Robbie, are top notch: everything you could imagine was provided. The family home was decorated so adorably. There are tons of little tranquil spots all over the property. Everything was just beautiful, wonderful, and relaxing.

Our stay at Ellen and Robbie's home was exceptional. First of all, communication with the hosts is easy! They live behind the rental home so you can always just speak with them OR texting a question was answered speedily as well. They totally respect your privacy and are only there if you need them. Secondly, the view of St. Andrew's Bay cannot be beat. Sitting to eat while gazing at the bay was one of my favorite parts. Relaxing in the Adirondack chairs on your own private little stretch of beach was better yet. Sunsets are awesome. There are kayaks for use and also a firepit. The house is spotless and very comfortable. Entry with a code lock is easy peasy. The beds were very comfortable; showers had hot water immediately with great pressure! There's a hair dryer and curling iron, toilet paper and shampoo/conditioner. Washer and dryer full size & detergent. We brought our 2 dogs and found the fenced side yard to be a big plus. There's a hose for sandy feet and the area is shaded & fenced for when they want to hang out unleashed. ALSO if you happen to forget something, Ellen and Robbie have all kinds of pet items in a corner all their own: crate, gates, bowls, toys, poop bags, leash, a tie out and dog towels!!! Walking he neighborhood with your pooch is great too. Lots of friendly people. There's also a "pantry" with spices, cooking oil, vinegar, flour, etc. AND a cupboard with a selection of teas and some coffee. If you are a reader, you will be in heaven as there is a plethora of books!!! Kids books too. I've never been to a rental home that had so many unusual items not normally found: reading glasses, stationery, stamps, pens. (The only downside is you'll need streaming capabilities for the tv.) We thoroughly enjoyed our monthly stay and highly recommend Maplesden Legacy. When in Panama City, be sure to visit St. Andrews State Park, also Conservation Park. Downtown St. Andrews is really cute. Alice's on Bayview had excellent food. Every Saturday there's a Farmer's Market at Oaks by the Bay Park. We went to Panama City Beach's Pier Park which is an experience in itself.

We enjoyed the month of January at this unique home. Good places to eat nearby...not far from shopping and activities. Nice place to bring your dog. Thanks Ellen and Robbie.

The Mapelsden Legacy is right on the beach. There were absolutely no amenities that were lacking- there were even towels specifically for our dog. The location was more than convenient for all our activities away from the home. Checkin/out process was simple. The hosts, who live in the house behind this one, made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Between the fire pit and chairs on the shore, the deck and the bocce ball set, you couldn't ask for a more relaxing location. Would definitely stay here again.

It was great having our dogs with us. The beds we're very comfortable, and everything we needed plus some was already there.
Beautiful outside this home also , even though houses were close you still have privacy and your own little private beach area . We highly recommend this place and plan to stay again in the future.

If you love family time, appreciate the beauty of nature and the serenity of peacefulness....this is your place!! Everything you could possibly want or need is available here. Kayaks, Bayfront Views, Fire Pit, Patio, Patio, and Patio. Covered Parking Bbq grill! The amenities are amazing..super clean...but most of all a touch of the past! If you have pets they cater to them as well with everything from their own towels, toys, doggie run, a gate, a kennel , a bed and even visiting tags. Just in case of an emergency. All they require is that you ckean up after them and PLEASE keep them off the furniture. Just a small thing to ask considering all they provide you with. If you need a break. If you need a peaceful vacation you should refinery check this hidden gem out!!

We had a beautiful stay. The home was comfortable, clean, and probably the best stocked vrbo we have ever stayed at. We had all the essentials provided. The queen bed was firmer then we like but for others may be fine. We have an over sized truck and the driveway to the home was a little tight because of small trees and brush hanging over but our gracious hosts cut them back. We couldn’t believe all their hard work to make it easier for us. Ellen and Robbie are on the same property but do respect your privacy. Everything you need is a short drive. We swam with dolphins guided by Water Planet/ Capt. Gary. It was amazing swimming in the ocean right with the dolphins. We loved St. Andrews State Park. Also Half Hitched Miller Pier is a must see for sunset and fishing. We would stay at this home again and would certainly recommend it for anyone visiting the area.

This was our second time vacationing here and it was just as amazing as the first time we stayed. The house was clean and very organized. The house was well stocked with the necessities. Robbie and Ellen were readily avaiable with any questions we had. It was great that there was a Smart TV that we could log into our Netflix, Disney +, and Amazon Prime accounts. The beach on the property was fantastic for swimming with my dog, finding critters with my kids, and kayaking in the bay. Above all, was the feeling we got in the home. It truly felt like we were in a home away from home. Thank you Robbie and Ellen for opening up your special property to us! We will surely be back.

Quiet, private and fabulous view of St. Andrews Bay. Robbie and Ellen are terrific hosts! The property is in a quiet area of Panama City. We stayed with family and our pup. We have never been to Panama City and loved the area! The house has everything you need! We enjoyed exploring the nearby towns, local restaurants and relaxing on the deck and beach. We were the envy of our friends and family being able to escape the cold and snow of Michigan and Ontario! Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy some family time and enjoy the history of your home. A big thanks to Juke for visiting with us and entertaining Daisy!

My wife and I, and our dog, stayed 1-30-22 to 2-12-22. Plus, another couple joined us for 7 of those days. Ellen & Robbie are 5-start hosts, and their historic VRBO home is beautiful and well equipped, and the outside yard and the white sand private beach are fabulous. This place is very quiet and private, and has everything you need. There are some good restaurants within a mile, and grocery stores within 2 miles. And I can't imagine a VRBO that is more dog friendly than this one. We hope to be back soon!

We loved the home and landscaping. The house is recognized by the habitat association. The home is full of local history and comfortable as can be. Sunrise and sunset watching on it's beach. The available reading material are all the classics and then some. Very quiet area for just relaxing. We will be returning to this home again for vacation.

We celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary with a few friends and it was so much fun! We had everything we could have wanted and needed provided! Great vacation home for sure! We didn't want it to end!

We loved staying at this house on the bay. The house was beautiful and well kept while still being comfortable and feeling like home. Having our own little beach in our backyard for the week was magical. When we wanted to be outside and still enjoy the view but not walk to the sand, the deck was the perfect solution. The large backyard enhances the view and provides a great place for children and pets to play.
Every meal in the dining room with the big picture window looking out over the bay was a joy.
Vacation rentals are our favorite for time away from home and we have rented several over the years. This was by far my favorite rental and I can't wait to go back.
Thanks, Helen and Robbie, for making our stay great!

We traveled to Panama City for a swim meet but really aren’t fans of the tourism hustle and bustle near the beach. This place was exactly what we needed for my daughter to rest between swim sessions and for mom to relax on a rare weekend off. It had everything we needed and then some. We made meals at the house which saved time and money, enjoyed some wine and the sunset by the fire pit, and our doggies thoroughly enjoyed their mini vacation as well. Check in and communication were a breeze. Everything was just perfect. 10/10

This place is amazing. Very quiet and peaceful. I loved that the owner will message you if there's possiblity for early check in and I was able to check in an hour earlier. The extra does help when there's so much excitement. I'm a dog mom and this place was perfect for them. They loved the private beach, it was pretty much to ourselves. The house was clean and was equipped with absolutely everything you need. I brought two xlarge kennels and they had no problem fitting in the livingroom area, there are two living room areas by the way. Lots of room to move around with a view you can't beat. This place is right in the middle of entertainment 10-15 to Panama City Beach and 5 min to Marina walk. We just had the best time! The owners are easy to get a hold of if needed. Kayaks were available for us to use and it was my first time so it was an extra bonus. We will definitely be coming back. We can't thank the owners enough for an easy accessible house with all the extras! plus and outside shower that was perfect to bath my dogs. It was our 16th anniversary but I'm so happy our dogs got to enjoy it as much as we did.
