Fantastic house and property perfect for extended family gatherings!!

Great house with fabulous grounds including tennis, swimming pool, outdoor fireplace and more. This was our second visit and we have already booked a third!

We are a bi-coastal family (LA and NY) and like to get together for several weeks in the summer. Carol’s house was a perfect place for everyone to relax and reconnect and for the cousins (8-6-5-2) to bond. The house itself is comfortable and inviting. The kitchen is large and fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, spices. Everything is exactly where you would expect to find it. There are several dining and living areas, so groups can gathers together or spread out individually. The bedrooms have plenty of linens and towels; all of the bathrooms are nicely renovated. Oh, and there is even a closet filled with board games and another with craft materials.
The grounds are very, very private and offer so many activities that our little grandkids thought they were at a fantastic camp with their grandparents and parents as counselors. The tennis court is in perfect shape and also has lines for pickleball and a basketball hoop. In addition, the property has lighted bocce court, a horseshoe court, a large trampoline, a fishing pond and several hiking trails. For our family, though, the definite highlight was the well-maintained pool. Two kids learned to swim and everyone took tennis lessons with PopPop. I have so much more to say, but the VRBO app is about to shut me down. Know that Carol is a lovely and responsive host. This property was an excellent fit for our family. Everyone was sad to leave after our three weeks. We hope to return in the future.

A wonderful, very comfortable home and lovely owners who were great about checking in on us to see if we needed anything. Beautiful tennis court with a great surface. It rained a lot so we couldn’t enjoy the pool much but it was very pretty and there were nice walking trails. Lovely master bedroom and bathroom, big bright and well stocked kitchen, and nice screened porch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house was terrific and very clean. Plenty of kitchen space. The tennis court and pool were in great condition. Pool was cleaned the day of our arrival. Would 100% love to book this house and tennis court again!

This house was perfect for a group of friends looking for a cozy weekend upstate - charming, comfortable, spacious, amazing kitchen and grounds. It was winter and still lovely so I can't even imagine what it's like in the summertime!

We stayed over the Xmas holiday with two small kids and 4 adults. The home exceeded our expectations - deluxe well equipped kitchen, spacious layout, comfortable beds and gorgeous property. With board and card games, the bocce and tennis courts, and bats/balls the kids had so much to do even in cloudy December weather.
The property is beautiful for walks and less than 30 min to Hudson for shopping.
This house would be an amazing summer rental but it was perfectly comfortable for offseason too. The house has a cozy vibe and is clearly a loved destination for generations of family.
Communication was easy and the hosts went above and beyond to make us comfortable and feel welcome. We hope to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Carol’s place this summer. The property is beautiful and feels like a real getaway. We loved the tennis court and pool. Carol was responsive and helpful. We’d love to return!

Our whole family had a great stay here. The pool is heated and the kids really enjoyed it. They also loved fishing at the on-property pond. The chef's kitchen had everything we needed. And the screened-in porch was wonderful - we used it for every meal!

Nice and isolated property. Really quiet and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully loaded. The pool is great. The house is a bit in older side but very cozy.
We had a great stay.

This is our 2nd stay at this home, and we always have a good time. We had a few issues, but they were taken care of promptly. Between the pool, ball courts, and fireplace, you don't ever have to leave, but Rhinebeck is just 20 minutes away with great food and coffee.

What a great house and perfect host. My family drove in from CT and MA and met for the week at this house and it was perfect. Quiet, private, wonderful amenities (including a great pool!), plenty of space, clean and very comfortable for all! We had an amazing time and Carol was wonderful, quickly answering questions during the week as a few came up. It was perfect and just what our family needed... thank you Carol and family!

I came with my husband and brothers and sisters. We were 7 people in total.. everyone had a night to cook . The kitchen was so well equipped there were no complaints and we eat very well.the property had many places to hang out and have fun.The outdoor fireplace had cozy seating and took away the chill in the air. Great spot for cocktails before dinner. We played horse shoes and bocce ball .Very fun.We also watched the full moon tie from the covered front porch. There were great trails around the property.Everyone was throughly pleased with this property..the only complaint was that the pillows were flat. The house is a short ride to pine plains which has a supermarket, pharmacy.pretty much anything needed. We also spent some time in chine beck which had some very unique shops.I would highly recommend this house for a great vacatiJane T

My family (4 adults and 3 children) stayed in this house for about 3 weeks. The kids really enjoyed the outdoor activities. The kitchen is well-equipped so it was easy to cook meals and clean up. The house owner and her son were super responsive whenever we had an issue. One downside was that the furniture in the house were a bit too worn and tired. The main living room sofa and the room itself were also too small for our family to hang out all together.

Our second visit was a joy! The property is ideal, quiet, well equipped kitchen, beautiful pool and tennis court. We'll return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Carol's house. We were two families (with 5 total kids under 7). Adults and children alike found plenty to do around the property and on short day trips in the area. The adults enjoyed tennis (bring your own racquets) and we all greatly enjoyed the pool. There was a problem with the pool's water heater (newly installed), but Carol was very responsive and ended up offering us a discount because the issue could not be fixed during our stay, which was very kind. The house has a well-stocked and large kitchen that leads onto an outdoor patio...perfect for large family gatherings. Bedrooms were all comfortable with functional window air conditioning units (which were needed in the heat!). We will come again if we are in the area!

My family and I had a truly wonderful time at the house. Simply put it was perfect for our family. It was filled with fun and adventure. The house was simply wonderful. Clean, fully equipped, and beautiful details everywhere. The owner and her son were always helpful when we needed them. I can't say enough about how much we loved the house, especially the kitchen which was the heart of the home.

We had the most amazing week! The property is gorgeous and the hosts were so helpful. The pool was simply wonderful, the accommodations were perfect - we swam, played tennis, went hiking, roasted s’mores all without leaving the home! Great for kids as well.

We arrived for a week and barely left the property. It's a beautiful, impressive house and we would have loved to stay longer. The kitchen had everything we could want and more including two sinks and double dishwashers. We went from bocce to tennis to the pool, which was deep and luxurious. We had breakfast in the screened-in porch or on the patio next to the pool. There was plenty of room to spread out for reading on the porch and hummingbird watching, board games, and afternoon naps. Rhinebeck is close by and we made daily trips to Bread Alone for coffee and lunch. The property was at the end of a secluded road so it was very private. Will definitely be back!!! Everyone had a wonderful time.

This property was amazing and surpassed our expectations. The Tennis court, pond and heated pool brought us so much entertainment. The huge kitsch was a perfect spiny for us to hangout and the screened in porch was a perfect spot to dine alfresco. We can’t wait to rent it again!

Nice Pool and Private location. Outdoors was beautiful. House a bit on the small side. Nice Kitchen and Sun Room but other living spaces were not meant for 8+. Overall we had a great time.

Our family had the best time renting this property. There were so many activities for the kids and they particularly loved the pool. The owner’s son was on call to help us with any issues that came up—we have never experienced such attentive service. The house was clean and comfortable with so many areas to relax in. The kitchen was phenomenal. We will definitely be returning!

We were looking for an extremely remote setting for our getaway, and we certainly found it here. There were very few reasons to merit leaving during the day, as the grounds are spectacular. I rarely moved from the pool. The WiFi signal was strong, allowing both me and my husband to conduct business without connectivity issues. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. This home is a well-loved family home, and we felt like we got to know the family a bit from the family photo collages hanging in the main hallway. We would have appreciated heavier window coverings in the master bedroom in particular, as we prefer not to wake up at sunrise. Carol was a pleasure to engage with. Overall, we enjoyed a lovely and relaxing stay!

The house was absolutely amazing and to say that the kitchen was well-appointed would be an understatement. The property had everything we needed to keep every member of the family happy. We spent most of our time relaxing by the pool, but we also made good use of the tennis and bocci courts and there were many fish and frogs caught over the week we were there. We definitely hope to come back again next year!

We were excited by the promise of a charming yet modern farmhouse on many acres. We were thrilled to find it well prepared, with ample spices, easy to find dinnerware, a clean, spacious, and empty refrigerator, and plenty of free cabinet space to store our food. There were clean quality bath and pool towels, and bins of cushions and pool toys. There is a closet full of rainy day games and toys, and a rarity: functioning battery toys with batteries in them!
The house is remotely located and exceptionally quiet. Besides scheduled service calls, the only noise we heard besides owls and other birds was from a child crying in the distance; no cars, trains, only a couple of small planes.
The kitchen is huge and everything functions. The screened in porch is large with plenty of room for the grownups to sit as the kids play. The beds are all comfortable and there are plenty of extra linens if you need them. All the bedrooms are large with functioning air conditioners and operating windows. Strangely, some of the windows lacked shades or blinds. There is a book filled alcove with a child’s desk, and even a stair gate to keep toddlers safe.
Every morning and evening we spent time in the porch. We hiked every day on the many trails alongside stone walls on property sprinkled with art pieces. The pool provided the central attraction; it is large, clean, and well maintained. The heater functions, although the position of the pool taking advantage of morning sun made it unnecessary. The pool is shaded but also has umbrellas that can be moved, and tables, chairs, and chaise lounges. The wifi gave us a good signal, even at the far end or the pool. There is a large stone outdoor fireplace and plenty of wood where we spent several cool evenings feeding the kids marshmallows enjoying the clean night air.
All this led to a wonderful vacation that exceeded our expectations, but a problem led to the best part. A tropical storm came our way, and the owner texted us with information and advice. We lost power, and as we played cards or built puzzles by candlelight (there were many candles, including battery powered ones), the owner sent her son from Manhattan to us; he set up a generator that kept half the house fully functional. He stayed on the property in a remote cottage out of our sight, kept the generator going, and even texted us from town to see if we needed anything!

A wonderful rambling property with lots of amenities—pool, tennis court, bocce court, hiking trails, fishing pond, well-equipped kitchen.

The home was beautiful. We were there for work and it was wonderful to have a comfy place to go to at the end of a show day. We wish we had day time to enjoy the property and home. One this I would suggest is to update the address so that people do not go into the first driveway, which we did at night and it was a bit scary. Otherwise - it was wonderful! Thank you!

This property is the ideal spot for a family reunion - beautiful setting, fully equipped and maintained. Enjoy!

Spent August here with our two kids and some friends and family. Very livable and extremely pleasant spot with an accurate listing description. Pool was amazing, tennis just a minute from the house, small fish from the edge of the pond using worms for bait, grill with a gas line, bocce, wildflowers everywhere. Just off the Taconic in the middle of nowhere -- this is the point! :) -- but with shopping basics within 10 minutes and a good selection of restaurants, shops, and groceries within 20 minutes. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this Red Hook country retreat. The house is comfortable with lots of charm. We loved the large pool and made good use of the tennis and bocce courts. The pond is well stocked - the fish seemed to jump on the line! A great place to recharge and enjoy the peace and quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was well equipped and the perfect size for our group. The grounds provided both parents and kids with tons of activities -- we really never needed to leave. We look forward to coming back.
