About this apartment rental

This is an adult only private luxury home 30 minutes from TPA, nestled between Clearwater and St. Petersburg and close to Gulf beaches. The home sits on 1 acre of natural Florida landscaping.
Guests have private entrance to your suites with full bath, mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, large tv, cable, free wifi and internet access, use of large salt water pool, gas grill, private sunbathing area, 2 outdoor fire pits with plenty of outdoor seating areas.
We do provide gas for the gas grill, coin, laundry located in the garage as well as free ice. Our home has 3 suites available all with the same amenities, so if you are traveling with other couples or friends it's the perfect place. The blue room does not open up to the pool it is located in the front of the house. The west wing is the only suite that opens up to the pool. We can host up to 6 people at a time.
You can start your day with some coffee k cups and my local favorite super mini Island Rum Cakes! It’s always ok To eat cake for breakfast at Island Rum Suites!
We are known to be clean freaks, we wash all linens, quilts, pillow shams, and blankets between each guests. Most vacation rentals do not so you can rest easy here!

We really enjoyed our stay with Lynne, the room was nice and clean and the property is GORGEOUS. The pool is amazing, only thing is I didn't realize how far from the beach it was but that is my own fault, I would absolutely stay here again, but would rent a car next time!

Stayed one night with my partner for a quick beach getaway. Host was very responsive to all questions before our visit - really lovely people. Upon check in to the room it had everything you need for a great stay. I mean everything. From coffee, to personal care products, to coupons and ideas for a few local restaurants. You could almost stay there and just bring your clothes. While we didn’t get to use the pool or fire pit the outside area was as clean and accommodating as the room. Looking forward to returning!! Thank you so much.

This is a unique property. It is peaceful. Everything is just as shown in the pictures. I had a nice spot to sit outside my front door under the palm trees to read. I enjoyed listening to the birds singing and the butterfly garden. The pool was a nice bonus. About a 5 minute drive to beach. Less than that to nearest Publix. Many things to do in the area. I enjoyed my stay.

What an amazing Oasis!! This property has everything you’ll need. Such considerate hosts, you won’t be disappointed. Jeff and Lynne have a real gem here. The rum cakes are so delicious.

Great place to get away and base your visit. Close to everything but tucked back away from main activity of Pinellas County. If you never leave the property you can feel like you are in the Carib. Nice touches with little extras in the room so you feel the host is really thinking about your comfort.

Lynne is an exceptional hostess! She thought of every detail. The Blue Room was so comfortable and quiet. We could see ourselves renting for longer than three nights in the future. An amazing experience from start to finish. No negatives!

This VRBO is perfect for us when visiting relatives who live nearby. However, it was also exceptionally clean, very quiet and convenient to beaches and all the Gulf Coast has to offer. It even received my wife's approval and she is very particular! We will stay here again for sure.

My wife and I had the best time during this stay. The owners were super friendly, kind, and helpful! The room itself was perfect for what we needed. Access to the beach is only a short 5-7 minute drive away, and the private pool on property was amazingly relaxing and exactly what we were looking for when we weren’t at the beach!

My wife and I came for Labor Day Weekend for my birthday. Just a quick little get-a-way. Little did we know a hurricane was making its way! Lynne was fantastic at maintaining communication throughout while awaiting our stay. The storm came and went, everything was good. We arrived to such a most perfect place. From arrival to departure, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. From the grounds with all of the beautiful plants, to the attention to detail in the room. The rum cakes were delicious!! Nice touch. We had everything we needed at hand. We knew that the owners were there if we needed anything, however nothing was left out. It was so close to everything, but just far enough as to not be in the direct congestion of the touristy parts. A very quick drive to anything you want to do. We will definitely be back!! Thank you!

Cute driveway adorned with reminders of wildlife whether they cross the path or not. Love that. Colors are inviting and fun. Clear directions on where your abode/parking would be. Space inside very comfy, thoughtful decor. Extra little touches to make the stay effortless was much appreciated. I would stay there often and would definitely recommend

This property was the best of our whole Florida stay (Total of five). It was arranged in a thoughful and harmonious manner, furniture and decoration fit each other. Loving attention to detail, welcome muffin, water in the fridge, coffee/creamer provided for whole stay, shower gel, spearate towels for the beach, etc. All key features were there, aircon was adjustable and could be switched off ( A key feature for Europeans not found in all sites).There was a ceiling fan as well. Neighborhood of manicured lawns pleasing to drive through and stay. Beach about 10 mins away by car. Free car parking on premises right in front of the room. Anytime again!

If you want to be close to the beach but not pay the high prices, this is a great property. Short drive from St-Pete/Clearwater Airport. Short drive to Clearwater and other beach areas. Short drive to some nice dining. Large bathroom. Clean and has everything you need. I went to assist my brother for medical reasons and this place was great to come back to every night to rest.

Everything about this was great! We stayed in the Blue Room, which had everything the two of us needed. Lynne was very easy to communicate with and the property is awesome! Pool is beautiful and the room was clean. We grilled out one night, also a lot of fun. Beach access super easy to get to from here- highly recommend for a beach getaway!!

I was very impressed with everything from first booking to checking out. This room is exceptionally clean with lots of personal touches. Very quiet. The pool was so refreshing and relaxing. I got to meet the owners and they were so kind and accommodating. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away to somewhere peaceful and relaxing. The beach was only a short 2 miles away.

We really loved staying at Island Rum Suites! It is in a quiet neighborhood, and is also very private. The Blue Room was a delight, very comfortable and with an underwater theme. The saltwater pool was also very nice and we enjoyed many swims. Jeff and Lynne were available if we needed anything. We hope to return in two years and will definitely stay at Island Rum Suites again!!

We couldn't have been happier with our choice; so peaceful and quiet, tucked away in a nice neighborhood. The salt water pool was a lovely bonus and we were just a short drive to our favorite coffee place and the beaches. Would highly recommend.

This property was perfect for my travel to the St. Petersburg area. All the comforts of home to include: clean hot shower, cool A/C adjust control, Kierrug hot coffee maker, and delicious rum cakes provided by owner. Lastly private area to park and relax for a hot minute. Oh yes- had ice as is my must have for travel. Thanks to the hostesses- will book again!

We had such a great time! You will be ten min from the beach. So many places to eat outside! The owners are so sweet and accommodating. Wonderful hosts. There’s a walking path directly from the property too. We felt very safe and relaxed. The king size bed was comfortable. Weather was perfect.

For us the location was great, close enough to great places to eat and things for us to visit and sight see. Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere just what we were looking for, clean and had everything we need for a great week of some much needed rest.
