About this house rental

Thank you for your interest in Camp Willow and our rustic cabins! We have 2.5 acres of lakefront property, cottonwood trees to sit under, a fire pit to hang out around, and canoes & kayaks for your recreation.

It is a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood setting-away from all the crowds.

Our Camp House is a casual lake house. It is the original farmhouse built on the property that I have renovated but it is still a quaint, eclectic house. We are pet friendly. It is 3 bedroom/2 bath and sleeps 10 people. It includes a wonderful deck on the front that overlooks the water, patio furniture, bbq grill. Washer and dryer in house. House is fully furnished with all bed & bath linens and kitchen utensils/dishes/pots/etc. Nicely decorated in a nautical/fishing motif. Comfortable and rustic casual.

We are located within 5-10 minutes of Schlitterbahn, the Comal River, the Guadalupe River, Gruene Hall and Wurstfest. Texas Ski Ranch is 20 min away and offers wakeboarding, axe throwing, eating, live music, special events& more. Each of our accommodations comes with free passes to the Texas Ski Ranch. Passes include either free 2 hrs of wakeboarding or 1 hour of axe throwing. Enjoy!

A great place for families and reunions. We have a launching ramp on site so bring your jet ski's or boat.

Also 2 cottages (sleep 6each)

We also have the Red house that sleeps 8.

So the entire property can sleep 38.

The house and property we as advertised. It had a relaxing lake cabin feel. The grounds were well maintained and the house was clean. My 12 yr old granddaughter enjoyed the site as much as her grandparents did. We would definitely stay again.

As someone who recently had the pleasure of staying at this lakefront property, I cannot recommend it enough for large families seeking a getaway. Set on two acres of land, the property features four private houses, providing ample space for our family our 16 and our beloved canine companions. We were thrilled to have the entire place to ourselves, ensuring privacy and an undisturbed retreat. The property manager had Fourth of July decorations everywhere and kayaks and tubes were ready to go. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and overall well-maintained condition. The older architecture added a charming touch and creating a cozy atmosphere throughout our stay. Now, let's talk about the main attraction—the breathtaking lakefront setting. Although the dam had collapsed in the past, the water levels have made an impressive recovery, allowing us to enjoy kayaking and swimming once again. The joy of being able to kayak on the tranquil waters again was enjoying. We have stayed here for family trips in the past and seeing the lake back was exciting and can only look forward to more lake improvements to come. What truly sets this property apart is the exclusivity it offers. No interference from the general public, we had the privilege of enjoying the entire lakefront space to ourselves. It truly felt like our own private slice of paradise, where we could fully immerse ourselves. We will be back.

Older house needs work. No access to the water overgrown and not well kept. No floating dock as depicted. It will be better I guess when the lake is full again.

House was a total disappointment
House was a total disappointment
The house had bug beds, everyone got bit and had to fumigate our belongings. The house could have been nice, but it was failing apart. Almost like they wanted to renovate but quit midway. House was pretty dirty too. Dead bugs everywhere. Definitely not worth the price. I’m not one to write reviews especially not bad ones or really care but this was a complete disappointment.

Great weekend
Great weekend
We had a wonderful stay. All of our adult children and their kids want to make this a manual stay. The property outside was perfect for kids to run and play, plenty of shade to find during the day. House had plenty of beds, and kitchen well stocked.

Disappointing Family Weekend
Disappointing Family Weekend
We’ve stayed at a number of rentals over the years and had really good success. Unfortunately we were disappointed with this cabin for several reasons. There was a musty smell upon entering the cabin. The pictures did not show the bedrooms didn’t have doors, and that you had to enter one bedroom to get to another bedroom. The primary bedroom didn’t have curtains on the windows so no privacy and too much light in the early morning. The 2nd kitchen table was missing which would have been a problem if we had all 9 family members as intended, but 3 got sick and could not come so 1 table was sufficient At dinner on night 1, we discovered lots of sugar ants invading our dinner at the kitchen table. We opened the dishwasher only to find a horrendous mildew smell. The dishwasher definitely needs to be replaced. We were also disappointed with the 2 tv’s in the cabin. The one in the living room was so small and the one in the primary bedroom did not work at all. We couldn’t believe the caulking job throughout the cabin as it looked like a kindergartner’s work. The outdoors was nice except you could not see the lake for the trees that have grown in the lake since the dam broke. We made the most of the situation and enjoyed our family time; however, I would not return to rent this cabin.
