We loved Los Cocos and plan to return next year. The people who care for this place were very kid and helpful. Weather was beautiful. We were surprised at the loud live music that happened every night until late. We used ear plugs and got used to it after a week but we missed being quiet and hearing the waves at night. We thought the property had bikes with it but there is a great rental a block away. Los Cocos is a great location for shopping and restaurants. It is in the center of the island. The beach out front is public and lots of people hang there all day and pass at night quite late so if you are looking for more peace and quiet pick a place father out of town. I’d you like to people watch and be close to everything this is the place.

We had a fabulous stay at Los Cocos. The property is exactly as advertised and could not possibly be in a more central location while still being just steps away from the ocean. Jony our host took great care of us. I can’t wait to return.

This was our second stay and it was perfect again. Johny took the best care of us with all of our needs/wants (COVID testing in house, massage and your booking, etc). The cabana is cozy and romantic, right on the beach, and it could not be in a better location for eating/shopping downtown. A hidden gem in Holbox!!!

The location was perfect Everything was wonderful. Delphine was delightful and easy to work with. The only thing was there was only one kayak and no bikes as advertised in the listing. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again!

This property is located in the perfect area. You can walk to nearly everything. We only used a taxi a couple of times. It's very close to the beach and only minutes to the town center. The beach is wonderful. The grounds are awesome! The Cabana is very quaint and as advertised. Delphine did a wonderful job of getting us to the island with our transfer and I would highly recommend using her for setting up the transfers. It was seamless and stress free. Walking to Punta Mosquito is wonderful and as you get on the sandbar you realize how crystal blue the water is. The sand is like sugar and rarely do you hit anything hard. Sunsets made for postcards and people watching everywhere. I would highly recommend this rental.

Excellent experience from beginning to end. Delphine and Joni were very helpful and answered all our questions and arranged the transfers to and from airport to the house. The cabana is “magical” right on the beach and is more beautiful than you can see on the pictures! We will definitely come back! 5/5 stars!

We loved our stay at Los Cocos! The bungalow is the perfectly quaint getaway for true rest and relaxation. Delphine was the most thoughtful and responsive host ever, along with Paty and Ramon who help care for the property daily. It is an absolute gem; quiet, but so close to everything you really need. I'm already looking at future dates to see when we can return. Loved it! Two thumbs up! Will stay again!

Los Cocos was wonderful - even nicer in person. The location is great, very central but the property maintains a feeling of privacy. Delphine was very helpful throughout my stay :) This was my first time in Holbox and it is a really lovely island, so much nicer than Cancun and the busy areas around it, there is no comparison and it is well worth the the drive to get there. Will definitely be back!

First of all, Holbox is such a small, friendly, cozy island where you quickly meet friends, humans and dogs. There are restaurants and bars everywhere you look, including many on the beach. Los Cocos is such a charming little cabana perfect for couples. It is literally right on the beach and you can hear the ocean from inside. The yard is pristine and nicely shaded, and the cabana is cleaned daily (except Sundays). There’s even an outdoor shower that has an entrance directly into the bathroom so you can keep the sand out. And you are 0.2 miles from everything in town, so you can be anywhere in only a few minutes. Delphine coordinated our shuttle, ferry, and taxi from Cancun airport both ways and it was seamless. She can also coordinate a private flight if you prefer. Jony was on duty when we stayed and he was there to greet us with the keys on arrival. He showed us lots of great recommendations on our map and was available at any hour to answer any questions. He even booked massages for us in the cabana one afternoon. We cannot say enough great things about Los Cocos and Holbox as a whole. We are already picking dates for a return trip in a few months!

Such an amazing property! No need to go to the beach - you are on the beach. The grounds are meticulously maintained by Ramon and has multiple seating areas to enjoy the scenery. Interior is exactly as pictured and a comfortable landing spot after daily adventures. Our transfers from Cancun to property were seamless and worth every penny. Jony was also on hand to answer our every question. We had a small medical problem that needed attention and Jony arranged for a doctor to come to the property. In summary, excellent communication and service by on site representatives for an outstanding property. We can’t wait to return.

My husband and I really enjoyed our week-long stay. We were scared that our trip was going to be canceled due to COVID-19, but James was able to keep us updated with the status of the island throughout the process. Delphine was out of the country, but she was a gem to work with. I am so glad that we used her to arrange our transportation to and from the airport. Johny was filling in for Delphine while she was gone & was really easy to work with while we were there. Los Cocos served our needs perfectly. The location was great-close enough to walk to the center of town, but not so close that you heard all the noise. We did have a couple of nights where the neighbors were loud (music, yapping dog, etc) until 2:00-3:00 am, but that is out of James’ control.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful beach bungalow....it is exactly as pictured and so close to everything - it was perfect! We loved walking the beach and we were just a block or so from the main 'sand getaways' of Holbox. Plenty of restaurants, shops or the beautiful sandbar - all so close!! Delphine takes care of your every need and the property is beyond CHARMING!!! Thank you for a wonderful two weeks away!!

This is a sweet vacation spot right on the white sandy beach, crystal blue water, and lovely shade when not wanting to be directly in the sun. Close to everything. Sunsets are incredible. Relax. Just do it. Delphine and James are awesome and highly suggest to work with them on setting up your transportation and any other activities. They make sure everything is seamless and easy. We had an amazing time.

Probably the best place to stay on the island. Close to everything, easily walkable, beach right outside your door. Delphine, the property mgr, was great! If we ever came back to Holbox, we would definitely stay here again.

Despite bad weather we had a great stay at Los Cocos! The screened porch was the best place to be to watch and be lulled by the ocean just a few yards away. Comfortable bed, nice kitchen and bath and close to restaurants and shopping. The new manager Delphine was great as was Patty who cleaned for us. A bonus was meeting James!

This place was a dream come true

This place is even better than the pictures show! We had a blast. The house, yard, outdoor shower, location, Susana, and the bikes were all amazing. James is very fast at communication and helped set up our trip the entire way. We came for our honeymoon over Christmas, and it was beyond our wildest dreams. The fishing, the beaches, the town, the people are one of a kind. We cant wait to come back! Thank you James and Susana for being such great hosts! See you next time. We were lucky enough to rent three nights at “ Los Cocos “. In our opinion is definitely the best place to stay on the island. Right on the beach and surrounded by a beautiful garden we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The bungalow is an easy 5 minutes walk to the main square and all the amenities you might need. It has a fully equipped kitchen, WiFi and AC ( that we barely needed ). At the check in we met the charming Susana who introduced us to the house and to Holbox. We must say that hearing the sound of the waves on the shore while laying in bed was priceless. We are definitely looking forward returning to “ Los Cocos “.

We loved our stay at the cabin! Perfect location to shops and restaurants but still very quiet and private. Cabin is clean and has everything you need. Perfect getaway for a couple..Would love to come back and stay again!

Highlights include the bikes which we used a couple of times - the kayaks we used every day that we could - the hammocks to enjoy great reads and the sun porch for rain ... bed is very comfortable and outdoor shower is lovely on a sunny day - James has thought of everything and Susannah sees that nothing falls amiss - highly recommend - we will be back!!

My husband and I had 5 nights at Los Cocos. Proximity to beach was fantastic! The bed was comfortable and the house was very nice and clean with several places to sit and relax. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable, which is important to me! My only suggestion would have been to have one cleaning during our stay...next time I’ll ask Suzanna for that. We would definitely stay again!

This is an absolutely amazing property. It is right on the beach and is truly the best location on the island you could ask for. Plus James and Susana are wonderful hosts - they helped us arrange transportation to/from the airport and were quick to assist with any other questions we had. We can't wait to come back!

House is exactly as described, right on the beach, lots of amenties (the free bicycles were awesome), very comfortable bed. Communication with James was easy and prompt. Simply a wonderful spot and well worth a return visit.

We got engaged here, so Holbox and this apartment will always be special spot for us! :) James and Susana were extremely helpful and the place was very nice and charming. It even had an indoor hammock which was perfect. I recommend taking James up on the offer of arranging transfer from the Cancun airport for you as this made everything really easy. Susana had some great restaurant and tour information to share as well. The house was very clean and had drinkable water, bikes, and various activities. It is also close to the town and you can walk to whatever you need. The only small negatives were that you could faintly hear the bar down the street and that there are lots of mosquitoes in Holbox. The positives far outweigh the negatives and we would love to come back and stay here again!

We spent 4 nights at Los Cocos. The property is even better in person. James was helpful throughout the booking process and booked our transfers, which made things very easy for us. The home is stocked very well and even has detailed items like flashlights, shopper bags, umbrellas and earplugs. There was some nearby construction at the time we were there, but the noise wasn't too distracting. Like everyone has already said, Susanna is a great asset to the property. I think she would have been a very interesting person to get to know. We were booked at Mawimbi for the following 4 nights (which we also enjoyed), but Los Cocos was so lovely, we hated to leave.

Everything we wanted and needed. Backyard is amazing! Steps to the beach. A hop, skip and jump to any restaurant or shop in town. Not even 2 mile ride to flamingos! Bikes provided. Susanna the caretaker is amazing! Can’t say enough good things about her! Holbox is amazing. Such a lazy little beach town. We had an amazing time. Ate too much food and had too many amazing drinks! No regrets! We will be back! And we will stay here. We met a couple 2 years ago on Long Island, Bahamas who recommended this place to us and I’ve kept it it in my notes ever since. If you want some luxury hotel, don’t come here. If you just want a great little place to stay right on the beach with fantastic food and drinks and sights all around, this is the place for you!!!!

We want to thank James for the privilege of staying at his home in Holbox. It was an extraordinary week filled with relaxation and discovery. We also want to thank Susana whose assistance and advice on the island proved to be invaluable as you will see if you are lucky enough to go here. She is amazing and her shop and artistry are wonderful. The location of Los Cocos IS perfect. The town and all its shops and restaurants were easily accessible by a short walk. Los Cocos is quiet and equipped to sustain a stay of a much longer duration and if it weren’t for the call of responsibility, we would have. Go to the market and get some things to snack on and it will feel good to prepare your own food. If you lean toward resorts where you are encapsulated and waited on by staff, this place is not for you. However, if you are adventurous, open and desire a place to let your ego go, then this IS your place. The pace is slow and deliberate. The island, its people, places and things will seduce you and change you. We spent seven days here and some of the things we did may not be your style but here are a few suggestions: > The sandbar, walk it often and you will find yourself standing in the middle of a Conde Nast moment as you stand ankle deep in water 200 yards off shore with small stingrays escaping in a cloud of sand and water. And there are Flamingos at the end of it. > Do a Whale Shark excursion. We used V.I.P Holbox, but schedule ahead of time to ensure your spot. > Snorkel Cabo Catoche and see large stingrays and turtles and a variety of marine life that you won’t forget. If you’re lucky like us, you will see dolphin on the way, too. > Sunsets you will never forget. > Plant yourself on the beach. Read. Get quiet. > Dine at wonderful restaurants like El Chapulim, Viva Zapata (get the tamarind margarita), and Le Jardin. A Mar Café, the coffee shop across from El Chapulim roast their coffee on site and it’s exceptional. And if you get tired of fish and lobster tacos from any one of the numerous places that serve them; go to El Hornito Argento for great pizza. There are many more that we would have like to have tried, but time ran out! James and Susana, thank you again for allowing us to stay and fully enjoy our time at Los Cocos. To those that have the opportunity to stay here, you won’t regret it and you will find it to be one of best places on the planet.
