It was a lovely perfect weather weekend. We were well-rested and wanted to stay for a few more days. Maybe next time. Very clean and comfortable quaint cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

This is your quintessential lake side cabin. It has everything you need to have a relaxing time. There are no motorboats on the water, just swimmers, kayaks, and canoes. The inside of the home isn’t fancy but very clean and has all the essentials. Only point I would make is that not all of the bedrooms have blackout curtains so if you have little ones plan for that, otherwise, everyone will enjoy their time here!

My group had a wonderful stay at the 3 Loons Cabin. The check in/out process was very straightforward and easy. We loved being on the lake. Would definitely recommend this to others considering a visit to the area!

Clean, comfortable cabin with spectacular views and access to pond for fishing. The best location to see a concert in Bangor one night and explore Acadia the rest of stay. Grocery store and Dunkins down the road was convenient.
Would add newer pans for cooking and more / better towels.

We were so thrilled with this little Maine oasis. It was the perfect retreat from the world. The cabin had everything you need and we were very comfortable. The pond was incredibly peaceful and it was so nice to have the canoe and kayaks available.

Staying here felt just like borrowing your aunt and uncle's camp for the weekend. Very well-appointed for kids, we had a rainy day and our six-year-old loved all the puzzles, games, art supplies, and dvds. The dock and seating area by the water are nice and there is a nice large deck overlooking the water.
We hope to come back, we had a very nice stay here.

3 loons in dedham
Overall the trip was great the house was not bad, But the driveway is very rough on low riding vehicles. I also found it weird that during my stay the owner message to me to let me know he would be dropping off a snow plow at the house that day. I know it's their property and all it just felt weird as I paid thousands of dollars to be there.

Peaceful Stay
We loved our time on this peaceful pond- fishing, kayaking, campfires. Just a short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

Rustic, peaceful and quiet. Pond crystal clear.
Evening campfires under the stars with a bottle of wine, good friends and my dogs were just what the doctor ordered.

The 1st of many visits
Loved everything about this property. The rental process and communication with the owners was convenient. The property itself is well maintained and they provide so much from fresh firewood to kayaks (it was my 1st time kayaking and I loved it.) We spent our days hiking in Acadia Natl Park and exploring Ellsworth and nights on the dock swimming, grilling and relaxing at the fire. We can't wait to visit again next summer.

Perfect retreat!
Great cabin, great lake, great amenities at the site, and an easy drive to Acadia and vacinity. Exactly what we were hoping for. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet peaceful retreat but not too far from the touristy stuff.

Tranquil Location
Overall, stay was excellent. Beautiful views from deck and dock. Minor suggestions, an adjustable shower-head and towel hooks in front of the shower. Possibly add to the home tools, nut crackers for lobsters (it is Maine after all;) and an axe for cutting of fire pit wood. Clogged rain gutters over main door but easily remedied. Overall, it was a great place to go and enjoy some restful time while being close enough to fun activities for all ages. Would definitely recommend and return!

Location is fabulous, easy to excess Acadia, Bangor and the coast. Cabin needs work.
Loved the pond. Bedrooms need serious work. All the mattresses are threadbare and uncomfortable. The bedrooms need side tables and reading lamps. Lighting in general is not good. We enjoyed our stay, they could do better.

Relaxation with a view
We had a great time in Maine. The cabin was mostly what we expected. It was very convenient to get to Acadia/Bar harbor/Bangor. The house was very clean and had everything we needed cooking wise. The deck was amazing. We had no problems with the WIFI. Having 2 kayaks, canoe and great dock was great. The only issue we had was not knowing that the shower was fed by pond water. Having a toddler and not having clean water and water pressure was less than desirable. All in all it is a great spot and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful pond and secluded stay
Crystal clear water on the pond. Very fun to take out the kayaks and paddle around. Fished a lot too (not much luck other than sunnies). House was just what we needed. Beautiful deck, has a grill, big living room space.
Only downside is we had to bring several gallons of water to drink.
Overall great stay and would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away within hour drive of Acadia.

A wonderful place to relax
We had a lovely time. The house is very comfortable with a beautiful deck overlooking the lake. The water is beautiful and delightful to swim in. The kayaks are great to paddle around the lake. We loved watching the family of loons. Lots of different places to be outside and enjoy everything and warm and relaxing inside too. Gene was helpful and easy to communicate with. All was great! I highly recommend a visit!

Quaint getaway, good for the soul
We had a lovely stay at this rustic and quiet cabin, only sounds heard were from nature. Used it mostly as a “home base” as we did lots of hiking and exploring of the area. Was nice to come back to at the end of the day to relax. We had 2 small children ages 7 and 5 and they were never bored. Loved the games, dollhouse, feeding the fish off the dock, skipping rocks, swimming, fire pit for s’mores. Nice calm pond to kayak. Cooked a few meals, cabin has the basics. Grill worked well. As others have mentioned , the WiFi for us never worked, owner Gene did follow up promptly to try to remedy by calling the company. says it is common for it to go out due to phone outages in the area. While it was a vacation, we are both healthcare providers that did need to check into work during this covid time, and WiFi would have made it easier. However, this did not take away from our stay.
Bald mountain hike is a quick 1 mile away, was a great steep but short hike, worth the beautiful view at the top. Kids LOVED picking the wild blueberries all along the hike. Spent a few days at Acadia/Bar Harbor area, easy 30-40 minute scenic drive. Ate lots of lobster, great takeout place recommended by owner 15 min from the house we ate at almost everyday, had great ice cream too!
Only con besides the WiFi is there is no washer and dryer, which is no fault of the owners, just something I overlooked when booking, if that is something that you must have while vacationing. Also the mosquitos, geez!!!! We are from SC and a mosquito is our unofficial state bird and the mosquitos in Maine put them to shame!
I could go on and on as the positives far outweigh the minimal negatives, highly recommend this wonderful place. Gene was a great communicator and host and we are grateful he opened up his cabin to share. 3 Loons gave our minds and souls the much needed escape we hoped for!

Hidden gem
We were so pleased with our stay on Harriman Pond! It was a seamless process to book... and being able to bring our dogs was an added bonus. The camp had everything we could need and was in close proximity to places we wanted to visit like Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor!

Very nice cabin
Overall the stay was very good with a few exceptions. There is not usable/dependable WiFi service. We had 3 smartphones and 1 computer non of which were able to connect to WiFi at any given time. Also the listing says hiking trails close by. We could not find any within walking distance of cabin. We did need heat one night (not available until September) as temperatures went down to 47. Boy, was that cold. And last, we paid $100 for cabin cleaning but departure instructions had us clean the cabin. On a positive note the area is very beautiful and everyone is respectful of others.

Absolutely Beautiful
I almost don’t want to leave a review in fear others will find this property and I won’t be able to book again! Everything about this location is perfect. Hands down sitting on the dock fishing anytime of day was my favorite. The view is stunning and you can’t help but feel relaxed. The house itself is very nice and it has everything you need to be comfortable. A quick stop at the super market and you will have no reason to leave. Peaceful, relaxing, picturesque, just some of the adjectives I can use to describe this property. If for any reason you want to leave the property and go to stores ie; Walmart, Lowe’s, restaurants, you have maybe a 30 minute drive. If you are looking for a vacation to unwind and take a step back from the daily hustle of life I absolutely recommend staying here. Bonus: our dog was able to travel with us and it made our family vacation that much more complete. If you are reading this and are hesitating about clicking that book button, just do it! You will not regret spending your vacation at this home.

Stunnin' View, Perfect Pond, Cozy Cabin
My brother, wife and 8 year old visited from Pennsylvania. This was a wonderful place to stay. The only negative for them was unreliable internet access and poor phone reception -- but it was a vacation in the woods in Maine. The lake was beautiful -- and we swam and canoed. They climbed Bald Mountain, we made smores and played cards. No one was bored -- and the view was breattaking -- and he birds a treat to wake up to.

Relaxing Getaway
Our family of four had a wonderful time at 3 Loons Cabin! Mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee, afternoon kayaking, and night time fires and s’mores made the trip perfectly relaxing.
We took a couple trips to Acadia/Bar Harbor during our stay. While it would’ve been a little more convenient to be closer (it’s about 45 minutes- 1 hour drive), we really didn’t mind because the cabin was in a perfect setting that made us feel at home. We did a lot of hiking during our trip, and Bald Mountain is 2 minutes down the road and it was our first hike of the trip. There are also lakes and boat rentals near by, but we never utilized any of them bc the cabin was equipped with whatever we needed in that area. Harriman Pond is on the smaller side , but it is clean and calm which was perfect for our 8 year old and 6 year old.
We never had a problem with the shower, and we stocked up on bottled water for drinking. I would definitely recommend 3 Loons. It’s simple, cozy, and the kitchen is equipped with whatever you would need. The grill, the games, DVD player and WiFi were all just finishing touches.

Simple cabin
We enjoyed our little getaway at Lakefront Cabin . It’s very simple and charming, but you have everything you need. Everything worked very well, we didn’t have any problems with appliances. When it comes to shower- it worked ok and we had warm water.
Location is very lovely and lake is wonderful.
We enjoyed the simplicity, helped us to unplug and focus on each other.
