We are less than 5 miles from the 900-acre Waterbury Reservoir and State Park, giving you access to swimming, fishing and outdoor picnicking and the ability to rent stand up paddle boards and kayaks.
Waterbury is one of Vermont’s newest destinations for food and beverage connoisseurs - home to The Alchemist’s Heady Topper, the Prohibition Pig, Hen of the Wood, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and Cold Hollow Apple Cider Mill.

My husband and I stayed while exploring the area for our 20th anniversary. The hosts were very gracious. The place is AMAZING! The architectural design, furnishings, original art, views of the river, and well stocked kitchen made it a great stay. Highly recommend.

The level of care for the property, the kindness of the hosts, the location close to everything we wanted to do (i.e. nature around and fine eating in Waterbury). We will definitely get back there for our next trip in Vermont.

We really enjoyed staying in the guest house. It is very spacious and well equipped, and also easy walking distance to the main bars and restaurants in Waterbury. We would definitely recommend this property!

What's that? You're going to Vermont and need quiet and relaxing, clean, curated space to stay in, but also want to be a nice walk or short drive from a cute downtown with good food and drinks? Boom - found it!
The Guest House is a cute and comfortable second floor stay, with a full kitchen and laundry, and a comfortable living room. I had a great dinner at Salt and Rind, and may or may not have had breakfast pastries at Hender's bake shop... Everything was comfortable and easy, the only difficulty was getting out of bed while watching snow fall over the river out the bedroom window...
Enjoy your stay!

Had a lovely stay at the Guest House in Waterbury. Location convenient to both skiing and Burlington. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating.

This was my 4th stay at the Guesthouse. Whitney and Wade are the best. I couldn't ask for a better vacation rental in my favorite "adopted" town. Can't wait to return!

Good location to downtown and easy access to other areas of Vermont that we had on our agenda. Comfortable to just hand out and linger in the mornings before heading out for the day. Kitchen was well stocked, making it easy to prepare meals the couple of nights we choice to eat in. Had a great relaxing time there and this place made it extra special.

This property is very beautiful. Located 30 minutes from Norwich University, which was the reason I was in Vermont. The owners are very friendly and caring people. I had expressed to them, the reason I was there was because my son had emergency surgery. Upon arrival, first thing they asked me was if my son was ok. That meant a lot to ot me. This is a very busy time in Vermont, where people travel all over to see the 🍂 changing colors. I had a rental car which was an electric car. That's all they had left at the airport. Wade and Whitney allowed me to charge it, which helped a lot. Huge thank you to Wade and Whitney. Definitely recommend it for couples trip or a single person.
Oh the decor is mind-blowing. Very artistic.
I will be back. My son has two more years at Norwich University.

WONDERFUL! The guest house is just as described- clean, bright and cozy! Perfect location- easy to walk or ride bikes into town. Also close to great neighboring towns of Stowe, Waitsfield and Burlington. Wade and Whitney are great hosts. We appreciated all the attention to detail and the fully stocked kitchen for when we wanted to prepare a home cooked meal. We look forward to our next visit!

Echoing the other reviews, this place is fantastic, very well maintained and in a great location. The owners were also very helpful and responsive.

Hands down the best VRBO we’ve stayed in. The attention to detail was spectacular: live plants, no smelly deodorizers, beautiful decor, comfortable bed, fuel efficiency, plenty of storage space, well supplied kitchen and bath. The view out the bedroom and kitchen window over the snowy field and river was lovely. The 3/4 mile walk to the awesome restaurants in Waterbury and 1/2 hour drive to some of the best skiing in Vermont made the location perfect for us.

We stayed for 8 days in Jan 2023.
The property was immaculate. Everything was provided, from dish soap to a coffee machine.
The decor was lovely, with a mixture of modern and old.
The host clearly takes pride in the property, and we hope to visit again

This lovely large one bedroom apartment is a real gem. It offers plenty of room to spread out; a great kitchen, a comfy bedroom and a great location for access to the terrific local ski areas. One unique aspect of the apartment is the terrific interior design and decoration. There are so many interesting and unique details. The designer must be a student of Martha Stewart. Highly recommended.

Cute and comfortable apartment with proximity to Stowe and Burlington.

Everything was just as you see in the VRBO pics and was such a nice place to stay and explore some of Vermont. The view of the river from the apartment was gorgeous.
Plenty of eateries and a supermarket within walking distance. although there is a larger supermarket (Shaws) on Route 100 going towards Ben and Jerrys.
There are plenty of walks and cycle routes too.
Visit Burlington - we went to Splash At The Boathouse down on the waterfront- just lovely on a sunny day. Also walk the causeway at Colchester.
Enjoy!

One of our favorite VRBO stays (and we’ve done quite a few).
Well laid out apartment with fun decor at every turn. Comfortable couch, great bed, well designed space that allows for privacy without being closed in.
Beautiful property as well.
Whitney reached out via text just before we arrived making it so easy to get information I needed even though I couldn’t access my email.
Hope to stay again.

We enjoyed the immaculate and well-supplied apartment, the artistic touches throughout, and sitting on the swing by the river. Gorgeous scenery right in the backyard.

Awesome loft
Our stay at Mad river valley was amazing. The Loft is exactly as pictured. Restaurants, shops and groceries are all within walking distance. Our hosts were helpful and responsive. I can't think of anything that could have been done better.

Perfect stay
This place was perfect for our Vermont vacation. Location was super and the owners are great. The property is immaculate with everything you could possible need or want was available except maybe a needle and thread 😂 (but I.m sure if we needed one Whitney would have gotten it for us). Book here and you won't be disappointed..

Wonderful VermontVacation
My husband and I enjoyed our one week stay in Whitney and Wade’s charming guesthouse. It was our first vacation since late 2019 and we enjoyed everything about this vacation. The guesthouse was well designed and equipped, and ever so quiet for restful sleep during the night. The town of Waterbury was just right, with several good restaurants, and excellent maple creemees and cider doughnuts within close proximity to the guesthouse. We took a different Vermont byway day trip every day and enjoyed each adventure.

Wonderful property
This is our second stay at this property. We love it here. The property itself is lovely, and Waterbury is central to many short car trips to surrounding towns/cities. We can’t wait to visit again!

Wade and Whitney's Waterbury Wonderland
Okay, wonderland is a bit over-the-top, but their place is cute, clean and cozy. Waterbury is a fun town to get to know, and perfectly situated. It took us a few tries to get the heat working, so we were a little chilly at first, but that was on me.

Great Little Apartment
The owners have created a functional, clever and thoughtfully designed one bedroom space. The interior design and decoration is terrific. For skiing the location is a short drive to Stowe, Sugarbush and Mad River Glen.

Perfect location
This location in Waterbury is A+, easy to get to and around the area. Stowe was a short 20-25 minute drive away.
The above garage studio was the perfect size for us, clean, very well decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Whitney did a phenomenal job of communicating and even had an awesome booklet put together as a guide. We ended up taking two of her dinner recommendations and neither disappointed.
Great stay and would definitely stay again!

We needed a home for a one night stay on our way north. This one caught my eye on the listing because of the fresh feel of the interior design. The home itself sits conveniently off the highway but tucked back far enough for it to be quaint. It was the perfect amount of space for the two of us for the night. We wondered the little neighborhood and went down by the water and met a few friendly neighbors. This was a great find for what we needed.
