The RUSSIAN RIVER is so close. You are 1 BLOCK to the Pedestrian Bridge Walkway crossing the River to the TOWN of GUERNEVILLE and JOHNSON'S BEACH . The Russian River is known for swimming, boating, fishing and playing. Dogs love it too.
A tennis/basketball /pickleball courts, jungle-jim park and a miniature golf course with bike rental just down the street. 18 hole professional golf course a few miles away. The 100 RUSSIAN VALLEY WINERIES start a couple miles up the road. ARMSTRONG WOODS Giant Redwood Preserve with great hiking trails is a few miles away and makes a great PICNIC area.. Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Healdsburg are all 20-30 min. Lots of unique little towns all around this area with local art and craftsman shops. There are restaurants galore from fine to very casual. Sonoma County fresh herb Farm to Table cooking is famous. The COAST is just 12 miles away. GOAT ROCK STATE PARK has a BEACH and views to die for. Drive the coast to Bodega Bay or Mendocino. Fresh Oysters & Cheeses along the coast. Sonoma County events and activities will keep you busy. Napa and Sonoma Counties produce the finest California Wines and the Best Weather. Dining room table seats 8-10 and overlooks the deck. The deck is the full length of the home with a 6 person Spa, 6 burner Gas Grill, Table & Chairs(8) and views of the giant redwoods, my grapevines and stars at night. There is also a front deck to catch sun or shade.
The CHILDREN can play and watch TV/DVD UPSTAIRS while the adults ENJOY DINNER on the MAIN FLOOR. My home is great for a 2 family rental with the 2 floors. Or perfect for 3 couples and 2-4 children. Lots of gathering space for ladies or guys. Perfect for a small group getaway celebration.

Over month prior to this trip, I got introduction/Welcome email from Clare. It was a surprised as I normally don’t get that from other rentals. Fast forward, a few days before my check in and something came up and I requested accommodation. Without questioning, Clare made it happened. It came off as needy guest and I hate being that type of guest but she made it happens! Clare also mad sure we needed anything during our stay and remain helpful throughput our stay.
Clare not only made us feel welcome and enjoy our time but she made it felt like we are staying at a friend’s house and not just any rental. We will plan for a longer stay and book this place again! Thank you so much for everything you e done for me and my family!

Big, multi-level house with room for 8 but also privacy. Ideally located near river and downtown, but very quiet. Park with play structure and tennis/pickleball court right across the street. Owner is a very tasteful decorator and available for email assistance if needed. Big kitchen/living room/dining area and deck with BBQ and hot tub. Great for family gatherings.

The location was perfect - easy walking distance from town, and close to the recommended start and end points for floating on the Russian River. The layout of the place was a little weird; we had a full house of 10 of us so we used the trundle beds and everything. Good for a group that knows each other well, but wouldn't be great for e.g. a group of couples. We hadn't realized also that it doesn't have air conditioning; we were there on a hot weekend so it got a bit stuffy. This is probably in the listing but we had missed it. It always gets chilly at night so it's not so bad if you have the windows open. Clare was very communicative and easy to work with, and the house was very clean. The kitchen was also really well-stocked. Thanks for a great stay!

Pros: Location is great. House is nice with ample space for socializing. Host was very responsive. Kitchen was pretty well appointed.
Cons: Check in instructions and house rules documents were overwhelming & difficult to read—should be completely rewritten with attention to brevity, structure, syntax. So many warnings about dirtying the water of the hot tub that we decided to stay out entirely. Bed in small room off primary suite was so uncomfortable the friends sleeping there left after the first night. Lost hot water on the last day and had to take cold showers for check out.

Clare was helpful and very flexible. The house was beautiful and clean. The instructions were clear. The location was great (short walk to town). I would give an extra star (total of 6) if I could because the hot tub was in excellent condition (not always the case in our experience)

Clare is a gracious host who offers an amazing home for people and pets! We were pleasantly suprised at the accomadations during our holiday get away and it was truly refreshing to find an offering where we could bring our 2 large dogs in such a nice home, lots of care and love has gone into maintaining this property.
The location is great as its located on a quiet street yet its just a short walk to town where you can find some wonderful restaurants and shops. You are also just a short scenic drive to many wineries which we particularly loved. We would highly recomend this hos and home and will hopefully be planning trips in the future!

We enjoyed our stay at this fantastic find. So close to
Town, just a short walk over the bridge. Peewee golf place wasn’t open nor did it look like it had been for years. Very run down. The redwood park was stunning and we enjoyed many walks there. Our walk through town was fun and although we were there during off season many merchants were open. We will definitely return to this wonderful place. The property manager was amazing and always responded so quickly. Thanks you gain for the wonderful stay.

This was our second time at this location and we had a great time again! The location is spot on. About a 5-10 minute walk to downtown Guerneville. The area is quiet, the house is large and open so everyone can gather together in the main room/kitchen. Lots of games supplied by the host, Clare, who is very easy to contact and responds quickly. Looking forward to next time!

This is one of the best rental accommodations our annual cycling group of 6 have stayed in. Everything was pretty much perfect: clean, well-kept; extremely well equipped and provisioned, great location and reasonably priced. We would all recommend it to others, and plan to stay annually from now on (we've been searching each year for a "keeper" in this area and have not had any luck until now).
One constructive criticism: I think Clare's instructions are just a little too granular. There's a lot to read in the manual, and if you aren't a bunch of lawyers, as we are, you'd probably give up for the details. There's a nice little adage in our line of work: too much information is little different from not enough information -- neither get you to the result you want. We'd recommend some editing. But that's us being nitpicky!

I recently stayed at Vista Serena with my sister and her daughters. It was a great place to reconnect with family. The house has everything you need, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, deck, grill and hot tub. Location is superb, close to downtown, and all that Guerneville offers. If you are planning a trip to the Russian River Valley, I highly recommend Vista Serena.

My family and I had a fantastic time while staying at Clare's property. The beautiful house has a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a hot tub. We couldn't ask for more!
Clare was great at communicating and quickly replying to any message we sent.
One very small thing, if you're planning on having picnics around Russian River, the house doesn't have Tupperware/food containers to transport your food, so bring those in case you need.

The house and privacy of the property was great.
The bed set up is hard to assess from the online description.
Here is my break down.
1st floor
One bedroom with a queen bed
2nd room two twin beds that are daybed/trundles
2nd floor
One king bed with a daybed and a couch
Down a short the hall separated by a curtain
One small room with a daybed/trundle bed.
You can hear noises ie snoring, convos… between these two sleeping areas.
There were 5 of us, all adults, only one couple. We all got private space but the equality of the rooms was far from equal. We are all close but it certainly wasn’t perfect if we weren’t.
However, for a weekend on the river it was great. Plenty of parking, grilling option, social space, 2 full bathrooms. Plenty of towels and blankets.
The owner was very kind and responsive.

We stay here for a very popular event in August and it is a rare find in Guerneville; walking distance to town, rooms/beds for a larger group, and all the amenities you need for a great stay (grill, hot tub, w/d). Clare, the owner, is very responsive and provides easy access to the house. Looking forward to our stay next year!

Clare is a great host, very helpful and friendly with checkin, and places to visit while here. Even when we had a small issue with the kitchen, Clare was able to get it all resolved so fast we didn’t notice. This house is absolutely wonderful, and close to everything you could want. Will definitely book again if available on our next trip here.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house. It was perfect for our group, my kids loved being near mini golf and the quick walk downtown was perfect. The house comfortable, very clean and exactly as described. Clare was great host and very easy to communicate with. Hope we can stay there again!

Our family had such an amazing time in this beautiful home! The home was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook family dinners, which we enjoyed on the lovely patio. And it was within walking distance of restaurants downtown when we wanted to eat out!
There was plenty to do for kids and grandparents alike, from a walk through nearby Armstrong Redwoods State Park, to rafting along the Russian River, to mini-golf and a great food truck nearby. And the owner was super helpful about guiding us to things to do that would work for everyone! We also very much appreciated being able to bring our two family dogs - and the huge fenced in yard was super convenient.
We hope to return soon and would definitely recommend this home for your next vacation!

We had such a nice time the first time we had to come back. While there’s plenty to do in Guernville, what we enjoy most is bringing the yummy food back and eat while we play board games on the big kitchen table or out on the patio. And there’s plenty of room for our teens to find a spot to study for finals or play on their phones. The dogs love it here too. We’re all ready trying to figure out when we’ll be back.

Absolutely loved this place. So well appointed, with everything you need and then some! The warmth of the homeowner showed in her greeting and thoughtful touches, the binder she provided with information on the house and local area--she thought of absolutely everything. The only downside was that we had to leave after only a few days. Neither of us was ready to go!

Our family and friends had a blast ringing in the new year. We picked a rainy time to be there but that didnt dampen the fun. The house is as advertised but didnt get to spend much time outside. The rains came and waters rose, but we were safe, dry and stylin'. Town is an ez walk just over the footbridge. Very comfortable for our party of six. Would gladly stay again!

Very well equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare and serve a turkey dinner with multiple sides as if we were home. Loved the large, high ceiling living room and many windows which showed off the surroundings. Nice yard for our dog to romp around. Would stay here again.

Great location and easy stay. The configuration is a little bit odd with the master bedroom having a kids bedroom in it. The people in that king bedroom have to be okay with the person in the small bedroom walking past them. The picture of the yard is a bit misleading as the property line fence is in the middle and a bit hard to see. That said it is large enough for dogs to run around in. We enjoyed our stay.

Our group of friends goes to RR each year to catch up and relax. After the 2 year hiatus we all had a wonderful time at Clare's property. It's been voted the best place we've rented. The kitchen and living room are huge-perfect for spending time with a group. The bedrooms are comfortable and the deck is large and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The location is a five minute walk from town and in a quiet area near the pedestrian bridge. Clare is a great host-very quick to reply to any questions. She was nice enough to adjust down the pricing when she saw one of our guests was an infant. We wouldn't have realized that and it was very honest and kind of her. Hopefully we can stay here again :)

This property is lovely and well cared for. It’s very roomy and the hot tub was in excellent condition and a real bonus! We enjoyed sitting on the patio overlooking the woods. Some minor maintenance issues needing repair but overall a beautiful home in a lovely setting. Clare was very communicative and thorough. The nice gift bottle of wine was very thoughtful! We would stay again for sure.

Girls weekend success! We used the house as home base for a long weekend of winery tours.
We loved our stay here. It was so nice to return to the clean, comfortable, open space. The house was spotless and as described. There was plenty of room for 5 of us, everyone with their own bed.
The kitchen is very well provisioned (the most well stocked I’ve ever experienced) and an easy space for group cooking.
The location and proximity to town (8 min walk to Safeway) made walking safe and easy. The bridge was well lit for the walk home.
Clare communicated in advance of our arrival and checked in to ensure we had everything we needed (we did). The bottle of wine was a lovely touch.

Great location and clean property. There were 6 adults and 1 dog. We all had plenty of room. Host was very attentive and communicative. Hot tub was clean and was definitely a plus in the morning. We all had a great time. The host even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy while we played Wineopoly.

The space was clean, well equipped, and location to town could not be better! We took advantage of the pristine hot tub, roomy living space and walked into town for beach access in the day and nightlife in the evening.

We wrapped up a wonderful three-day getaway with another family. The house had all the amenities for indoor and outdoor entertaining. The close proximity to downtown made it easy for us to walk down for a bit and then head to the house to relax. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
