We felt the dishes were dirty so we could not eat till we washed the dishes. Freezer had to replace the filter, so we couldn’t use the ice. Which tennis players need a lot of ice. Missing TV’s in most bedrooms did not work, we couldn’t get the one in the living room to work. Called the number , that they gave us to report things , said they would be at the house to fix things there never came. Called again the second day we were there, said someone would come, they didn’t, we left a day early because of all the problems and no support. We are expecting some kind of refund. But haven’t heard from the company.

This house was perfect for our 3 family gathering. It’s large kitchen, open living space, screen porch and easy access to the beach made for a wonderful trip.
If I’m being super picky, I’d remind other guests to have shoes you can wear on the pool deck. It’s not in great condition and we were worried about rusty screws and splinters for kids.

The house was set up nice, however the showers were not as clean. We had a shower head come off one of the spare bathroom showers. It had been repaired before but whoever tried to fix it used electrical tape. It obviously didn’t work. I made two calls and sent two emails to the management company with pictures but nothing was done about fixing it. They had promised to send someone but no one ever came or called. We are not impressed with the management company. The house overall needs some repairs.

Great location, but no extras like kayaks, no bikes, no pool accessories, etc. Very limited to what the house has to offer. And maybe it is just the time of year. Overall good experience.

Our family all enjoyed the location and all the house had to offer. The only drawback was the cold weather which no one can control...but the house was a bit chilly since the houses in HH are not built for such cold weather. We would have loved to have used the screened in porch. Would enjoy returning during warmer weather.

House was in a great location with easy access to beach path. The setup inside worked perfect for us. Plenty of open living space and bedrooms located away from all the activity. We had a problem with the outdoor grill but the property manager Tanner responded quickly to take care of the issue in a very pleasant manner. Was well equipped although some of the frying pans need replacement and a few more wine glasses needed. Overall we were all satisfied and would rent it again.

We enjoyed our stay in Palmetto Dunes. The area provided access to fun and popular activities and good restaurants. The walk to the beach was short and easy! The first floor common area was perfect for our family! We loved the closed in porch and back deck! The pool was great for our family to swim and play games but showed it’s age. The bedrooms other than master bedroom were small with little space to store clothes. The pictures on the website made those rooms and accompanying bathrooms look larger than actual size. We had major issues with the WiFi and internet.
Overall, we had a great our time together.

This house is in a good location, in the Palmetto Dunes community a few blocks from the beach. It’s large and comfortable but pretty dated and a lot of things were not working properly. For example, one of the showers would flood the entire bathroom when you used it. The house was clean but there weren’t many amenities provided, like garbage bags or tinfoil for example. You need to bring in pretty much everything.

We booked a week's stay for ten people covering three generations. The house was the perfect size for being together & allowing areas for the adults to congregate while the children were sleeping. Having five bedrooms & four bathrooms was the perfect size. The kitchen was generous for counter space & had plenty of plates & silverware. It always seemed like everyone wanted to congregate there! The screened-in patio had nice brand new furniture. The great room was large but very dark at night. It needs additional lighting & LED bulbs. We rented bikes for the week, & the trails throughout Palmetto Dunes were lots of fun. The beach was a five minute walk from the house, and we practically had it all to ourselves each day. This house has a great location.
The backyard pool is above ground level but the style & age were uncharacteristic for the neighborhood. It was cleaned while we were there but still had stains around the inner perimeter. The decking around the pool has dozens of rusty screws sticking up & is not safe for bare feet. The rim of raised wood around the pool edge is a trip hazard, and there is a split board that is sticking up that was a concern. There is a large hole in the screen of the screened-in patio that needs to be patched. The kitchen table had eight chairs. We really needed two more chairs to accommodate our family. The three skillet pans all need to be replaced along with the refrigerator door's water filter. The toilet in the foyer bathroom runs frequently & needs repair. The shower fixtures in the lower level were nearly impossible to turn on. We were finally able to get them running. The house was very clean for our arrival. However, the windows definitely need to be washed. All guests agreed that the mattresses and pillows need replacement. The lower level bedrooms could use fans to handle temperature fluctuations at night.
Tanner is the Property Manager for the house and worked hard before our arrival to address complaints brought up in prior reviews. I am confident that he will continue to work to upgrade the home. We look forward to using this home again.

Says it sleeps 14 but only had accommodations for 12. Had to buy air mattresses for 2. Deck surrounding the pool was extremely worn. 2 of our group had to have splinters removed. The spindles o. The deck rails were very far apart that the 3 year Olds and under could fall thru. Thermostats were inconsistent and could not be adjusted. Downstairs was 68 degrees muddle floor was 70 znd upstairs was 78. Very hot for sleeping. The lower level had a horrible mildew smell that nothing we did could get rid of. House was clean but very dated.

This was a really nice house with a very short walk to beach access. Nice house but corners could have been cleaned better. We had trouble with the pool but they were out within 24 hours for service. Oven and microwave didn’t work great.

Great location and great home!
We really enjoyed the house for our post Christmas vacation. It was in a great location to get to the beach, only a 3 minute bike ride/5 minute walk to the closest beach access! There was the perfect amount of space for my family, and we really enjoyed the screened in porch, especially with the warm weather we had. We would definitely stay here again.
The only issue we had was the wifi did not work for us.

Multigenerational Thanksgiving
Great time was had during a multigenerational Thanksgiving trip. Location is best aspect - beautiful neighborhood and very short walk/bike to beach. Does take a bit of time to get to main roads. Kitchen was fairly well equipped, though zero staples (eg salt, cooking oil). Cleanliness in house decent, though cushions in screened in porch were nearly unusable. Bedrooms were comfortable and lay out of house was conducive to socializing while still having private space in bedrooms. We never got the Wi-Fi to work, nor the TV in one of the bedrooms. Fortunately cell reception was great and we could use our hot spots. Stairs into house may be a problem for older or other guests - front stairs treacherous. We had our elderly relatives come and go through the garage and internal stairs. Overall, a lovely house on the canal, in a great location. Good place for larger groups. Highly recommend renting bikes and riding them on the beach - great activity for everyone!

We stayed at 181 Mooring Buoy for a week with another family in October. Seriously the best time of year to go! Low 80’s, ocean was warm, no crowds (although more than a few cranky old people lol). This house was great and worked very well for our two families. The furnishings of the house has some wear and tear and a little outdated but for a rental house not too bad. Couch was comfortable but has some previous stains and rips, beds were good, kitchen was well stocked with dishes/pots and pans but would have liked some extra garbage bags, paper towels, basic spices like salt, pepper, garlic or whatever, bathrooms had some mold around the trim but thinking about weather conditions/humidity, this might be common? Would have liked more TP for such a big house lol. House keeping did a great job, house was clean and smelled fine when we arrived. Plenty of bath towels but no beach towels available so bring your own. Pool is smaller but average size for the neighborhood, about 4.5-5 feet deep depending on how many cannonballs were done that day. Pool was clean and had a few toys for the kids, we loved it. We paid the very high amount of $$$$ to heat the pool but it was worth it. Everyday someone was at the house doing something, refilling propane, cleaning the pool, blowing pine needles off the deck and so on, was kind of annoying but would rather have these things done than not. We couldn’t figure out the TV so we called Vacasa and was promptly fixed. Vacasa was easy to work with and was just a phone call away if we had any issues. Palmetto Dunes Resort, the neighborhood where the house is was amazing. So beautiful and in my opinion the best on the island. The beach is a 5 minute walk, house backs up to a lagoon and would be considered 4th row in my book. Lots of great restaurants to choose from, our favorites were Salty Dog and Skull Creek Boathouse. Overall a great rental house managed by a competent property management company located on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to.

We have vacationed in palmetto dunes for nearly 20 years, but this is our first time staying in this home.
Pros:
-good price point for amount of space and proximity to the beach
-great neighborhood
-pool was small but good size for families with young kids
Cons:
-the house is worn; a few updates have been done on the flooring which makes pictures look good, but most of the bathroom areas and bedroom flooring/furniture felt beat up and in need of replacement. Even the dishes/utensils in the kitchen were often difficult to use (for example, the can opener was rusted and almost unusable).
-we were told early checkin was unavailable due to the cleaning crew being there that day, but when we arrived at 4pm, there were multiple dead bugs in different rooms and mold in the upstairs bathroom; it looked like from those things that it hadn’t been cleaned in days.
Overall, I would not choose to vacation at this home again. The kids had a great time and didn’t really notice, but the home did not feel like a relaxing place to come back to after the beach. It has a great layout, the main living space is beautiful and open, and it could be a really good house, but feels like it needs a lot of TLC (or even just some basic C) to get it to a place that is enjoyable to rent for vacation.

This is a nice property somewhat seculded. Its a bit of a drive to loop through the neighborhood but I feel that adds to the security and exclusiveness. Walk to the beach was pleasant and not too long. This house provided what we needed for a week with the family
