About this house rental
This is a great vacation home for families. The upper portion of a modern triplex, it offers 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and approximately 1300 sq.ft. of living space. There are french doors leading to a large wrap around balcony with great ocean and hillside views. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and a 40-inch flat panel TV, and all three bedrooms have TVs. This property comes with the complimentary use of a 6 passenger golf cart. 300MAR | | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day).

Easy to access the unit, was able to check in early which was nice. Spacious floor plan. A deep clean, fresh coat of paint, and a little TLC would make the experience of the renter so much better.

We had to wipe down most of the fridge and still couldn't get all the old food dried-up inside. Dishes and table had dried up food. Bathroom showers full of hair. The arms on the white chairs at the table were grey from all the dirt.
Overall the place was considerably run down.
Didn't need to communicate with property management at any point.

The host was kind enough to let us check in earlier but it wasn’t until the day of that we found out. We also got a complimentary one hour late check out because they didn’t have anyone coming in that day but gave us the ok that morning of check out. The view of the home is wonderful. It’s a bit high up if you are walking up and down the street. there is one 6 person cart, which was very, very helpful. Main issue is that it has a lot of areas that need upkeep, including the two bathrooms. The kitchen was not fully stacked, as it should be. The towels were not plenty, especially, the bath towels, as it should be. They did not have any beach towels. The newest item was the washer & dryer, but it did not have any detergent for the clothes. There was a Bounce box that was empty. It had barely any Items for cleaning the table or the kitchen. So, some things were very limited. It needs a little bit of a touchup & TLC to make it a wonderful place. The shower water was horrible. Barely any pressure. Overall clean, but because of the very old bathrooms, and some of the kitchen cabinets, it didn’t give off too much of a clean vibe. Also, covers and pillows were limited. For the price I paid on a non-holiday weekend, we expected a lot more.

Great location with a wrap around porch that has a great view of the water. Bedrooms were great but the balcony was the highlight. Spacious living room as well. Would stay here again!

We had a fun family trip on the Island. We love going to Catalina and exploring the Island and eating at the wonderful restaurants and shopping. This was a wonderful place to stay and we would love to stay again. The host was very easy to contact and it was very easy to access the property. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed. Thanks for everything.

Great location and use of golf cart was big plus. Unit was very old and dated. Carpet was stained. Towel and toilet paper holders were broken in bathroom (just torn off and not replaced) minimal lighting. Very minimal pantry (basically just salt and pepper and coffee filters). Bedsheets were clean but need to be replaced. Worn so thin in areas you could see through them. Washer and dryer in unit was convenient. Bare minimum for rental however this is our experience in general for Catalina island.

The golf court is our only complaint. We were definitely great full for it but it takes a good 5-7 mins before it will start going and that was rather annoying.

We had a great nights stay in the home and had to, unfortunately, leave early for a family emergency on the mainland and so we couldn’t enjoy our full time there. I would book again

Nice place, golf cart was very handy
The photos of the house are pretty accurate, only one that was a bit misleading was the view from the porch which has a lot of obstructions and most of the water that you see is open ocean.
House is in an interesting residential area and without the golf cart it would have been brutal getting up and down the hill. Washer and dryer are extremely old so don’t plan on doing laundry while there.
Other than that it does the trick. Communication with property management was a bit frustrating as none of my emails before the trip were responded to and I left voicemails as well. On the day of check in the text communication was pretty easy but also missing necessary information. Definitely going back to Catalina but not sure I’ll book this same spot.

The view was awesome. The 6 passenger golf cart was great also. It made it so much easier to get around Avalon.

Perfect spot for a catalina vacation
We had 4 adults and 2 kids ages 8 & 12. The place was in great shape, and the 6 person golf cart made getting around town a breeze. Big bonus points to the landlord for allowing an early check-in, we had a rough ferry ride over and half our group was not feeling well - so getting to check in early was HUGE for recovering and settling in. The kitchen was well stocked, working BBQ, solid wifi, tvs in every room, and the views from the balcony were excellent. Two thumbs up!

I would highly suggest this rental, we really enjoyed our time there. One complaint is that the plumbing sucked in the toilet! Having to flush several times and plunge constantly. Not what you expect in a rental at that price. But over all loved our stay there! The check in and out was painless and all done over my phone. Great Job!

Condition of house
The property needs a update painting, new flooring, better cleaning crewing, our bath mats were dirty, and the refrigerator and dining table were smudged and sticky. Beds mattress covers were falling apart. Probably the saving grace of this property is having the golf cart included. Although we had a nice family vacation you might want to check with your property cleaning crew

Great Catalina Get Away
Great accommodations for a group like ours. We had three senior couples staying together. Large living area for hanging out and a nice wrap around balcony with a view to the harbor. The golf cart included was wonderful and perfect for our group. I would be inclined to stay here again in the future.

Birthday Weekend
My family and I had a great weekend! So thankful for the golf cart and early check in (which never usually happens) since I sprained my ankle a few days before the trip. I loved having my coffee in the morning with a beautiful view. We will definitely come back again, thank you!

Home met all our needs, golf cart is a must and was added value to our experience. Home was neat and picked up, but could use a little TLC. My son has allergies and we found traces of dog hair, we thought this property did not allow pets and I may have missed that. We also felt that the property management team could be more customer service oriented. They were efficient,but I felt they could be more welcoming,

Family weekend in Avaon
We had a wonderful time in Avalon! The house was perfect and fit everyone comfortably and the view was great. The only issue we had was that we had left a couple items behind and the rental office was not helpful with us recovering our items. Everything else was awesome.

Enjoyed the space
We loved staying at this property. It was so nice having access to the golf cart to transport dive gear and to explore Avalon. With our larger family it was also great to have room to spread out and to have access to a kitchen for meals. The only drawback was that the beds were very hard. My suggestion would be to get memory foam mattress toppers for them so that they are more comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Family style comfortable!
We stayed here for my daughters wedding at Descanso Beach. The living room was comfy although could have used another couch. The kitchen was very well equipped and spacious. The bedrooms were nice and roomy and the bathrooms were big and efficient. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The neighbors were lovely. My only complaint would be that the inside could use a coat of paint.

summer in paradise with friends and family
This is the second visit to this house. It is great, and this year the owner put out door patio lights so we could see what we were BBQ ing. It's quiet and very well stocked, the hill is a bit steep, but that's what a golf cart is for. The house comes with lots of fans in case it gets hot. Great
Very spacious and comfortable for my group. We did encounter entry door lock malfunction on our first night of stay. Had to secure door with chair. I reported it the next day and it was repaired immediately. The view from the wrap around deck was awesome. A truly added bonus was the use of a golf cart. Thanks for everything.

Spacious, views, clean
Great location up the hill from town. Pretty view and easy access to all of the activities. Golf cart makes it all easy. Interior needs updating but everything was clean. Comfortable beds and plenty of hot water for showers. Pillows need upgrading, but serviceable linens overall. Plenty of space for our party of 6. No extras for the kids (books, games, toys) so bring your own. Check the pantry before planning dinner-rental had some of the basics but we had to buy some to get dinner made. No big deal. Would rent this unit again.

Worth the climb up the hill!
This property is the top level of the property, so the view is nice, as is the ocean breeze when the French doors are opened. The golf cart is imperative for grocery runs and suitcases, but the hill is walkable if one is in decent shape. There is little traffic on the street, so nights are quiet. The house's amenities were fine - beds were comfortable, rooms were of appropriate sizes, kitchen was well-stocked, and bathrooms were clean albeit out-dated. We were able to use the stacked washer/dryer, so I guess the water rationing has been lifted. The living room/dining room was ample for family gatherings.

Worth Every Penny
The perfect way to do Catalina. Wrap around deck with full patio furniture make lounging and cocktail hour easy living. Golf cart made the trip, the island is beautiful to tour. Living area, dining room and bedrooms are large and comfortable. Highly reccommend!

We loved it! Everything went to plan and it was so wonderful to see the sunrise over the ocean!
The place was nice and clean. I would suggest a step stool in the kitchen. The cabinet's are really high. But I managed!
And a broom & dust pan. I did my best to clean everything. I like to leave a place better then I find it. I don't want to post anything negative because it was really nice. And we will most likely come back. Thank you so much!

It was a great house, big, comfortable, great view of harbor, quiet street, tv in every bedroom, the beds were very comfortable and a portable fan in every bdroom, it was great having a golf cart cause the hill was so steep. Only minor complaint, the weather was so hot & humid, should of had a fan for living room. The patio was great, bbq and tables & chairs but there was no outside lighting, hard to see bbq and food, But we will definitely be back to rent that house. Thanks for letting us share your rental. Wonderful Place
Wow! What a great place! Very clean & modern; beautiful view; very spacious & comfortable! There really is no where in Avalon that can't be reached by walking but the golf cart made it possible to do our own little tour of the city. This was a perfect place to "come home" to & just relax with a drink on the porch! Perfect!

Great Property, will be back!
The place is much nicer in person, pictures don't do it justice. Very spacious and clean. Great view, good location. If you have disabilities or do not like walking, take a cab from the rental office to the location. It's not far but it's about a 12minute walk with half that time being up a steep hill. We walked it carrying all our luggage and it was ok. The golf cart is awesome and well maintained. Will definitely come back!
