This beautiful home is great for multiple families or just one family looking to spread out!
Picture yourself on the large deck looking out onto the pine trees while you BBQ with your friends and family. Enjoy the great room with large picturesque windows while watching the snowfall gently on the pine trees. Try not to let the view distract you, as you 'work from home' on the large table with seating for 8+. There is plenty of room for the whole family to enjoy the mountains with four bedrooms and a loft/game room. Compete in a friendly game of foosball, 1980's PacMan or a real Casino slot machine competition while enjoying a board game, movie or play PS3 on the big screen tv.
The living space is bright and roomy, with towering ceilings and large windows that frame the trees. Planning a quiet night in? You'll have WIFI, a wood burning stove, complete with wood, a large hearth with seating around, a sofa which pulls out to a queen sized sleeper; a flat screen tv; which also includes cable, a DVD player, Netflix; and a selection of adult and kid games to keep you entertained.
The fully equipped and recently remodeled kitchen is the perfect place to cook for a crowd. In the mornings enjoy coffee or tea with a Cuisinart drip coffee with Kuerig machine. You can make a single serve or a full pot for your group. Bedroom #4 upstairs has a queen sized sleep number bed plus a bunkbed along with an internet only tv & Netflix. Also the upstairs loft hosts a twin sized pullout sofa sleeper; along with Foosball, PacMan, a casino type slot machine and a flatscreen tv with internet and Netflix.
The downstairs bathroom, is a full bath which has been recently remodeled. The counters are beautiful granite with a copper sink. The shower has large glass doors and stunning tile walls and floors. The upstairs bathroom is a full bath with a tub and is large enough for the whole family; which is also recently remodeled with beautiful granite counters and a copper sink.
As part of your rental, you will have guest passes that will allow you access to Tahoe Donner facilities including pools, children's play center, tennis, snow play area, beach access at nearby Donner Lake, fitness center, and an extensive system of hiking trails.
When you're not enjoying the myriad of activities Tahoe Donner has to offer, you'll also have use of the private deck with patio chairs, a Weber Gas 4 Burner Grill, a patio table and a private hot tub. Weather permitting, you'll also have access to the comfortable fire pit, along with chairs to warm up on a beautiful evening to roast marshmallows and share stories from the days events. Seasonal games include; Ladderball, Corn Hole, Ring Toss, snowshoes, sleds and saucers.
Ski options abound within 15 miles such as Boreal, Sugar Bowl, Soda Springs, Northstar and Squaw Valley. We were in Tahoe for a lacrosse tournament and rented a house with another family. We really enjoyed all the house had to offer...the hot tub, video game, foosball, slot machine and corn hole. The kitchen was well appointed and a joy to cook in. We would definitely like to return in the future!

This is a lovely house & Jill was very friendly and easy to communicate. My family came up to snowboard, my 11yr 1st time so I booked this house since it had a game room for kids in case snowboarding didn’t work out. Unfortunately we couldn’t entirely enjoy the game room, missing charger to the Xbox and slot machine was jammed. We called Jill, she tried ordering a replacement charger but it wouldn’t come in time. The previous family jammed the slot machine. So it was a bummer but the kids still enjoyed foosball and pacman. Overall I would recommend staying here, good location & other amenities.
Pros: 1. Spacious 2. Big backyard, lots of snow for the kids to play & build snowman 3. Lots of supplies (unlike other where they give you starter supplies for 1 day). Kitchen is fully stocked many extra items like ziplock bags and tuberwares to use. Large island which is nice for us to leave out snack and food for the kids 4. Wood stove to keep the place cozy at night & a rack to dry our gloves & hat. 5. Hot tub was a hit for our older kids after snowboarding
Cons: 1. Washer and dryer is not connected to the house (you have to go outside into the garage to do the laundry). Summer might not be a big deal but winter it’s too cold so no one wants to go outside. 2. Mattress in the downstairs room is firm, it’s a nice mattress with massage and different positions but my husband is a side sleeper so he had a hard time. 3. Mattress upstairs is firm, daughter used the comfy couch.

We greatly enjoyed staying in this property! There six of us, plus two dogs, but there was space for more. The kitchen is very well equipped, so we enjoyed cooking! It was great to be able to step right outside for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the woods, and to soak in the hot tub and relax by the fire later. The host was very communicative and the process of checking in and out was smooth. Would love to come back!

This cabin is fantastic! So cozy yet spacious and has every amenity you’ll need. The neighborhood is so cute and neighbors are very kind. The hot tub was easy to use. I am very picky when it comes to accommodations and this cabin/home was perfect in every way. Clean. Comfortable. Great location. Tons of fun games to play. Very well maintained. The cherry on top are the owners. So kind and accommodating. We will absolutely stay here again!

This cabin was the perfect cabin for our 2 families of 4. The layout is great with enough space for everyone. The beds were very comfortable, and the kids loved all the games & arcade games! The kitchen had everything you could need to cook any meal. Jill was excellent to work with. Would highly recommend this cabin to anyone!

From the moment you walk in, you get the sense that this is a meticulously cared for and adored family home. There’s a beautiful big kitchen for cooking, plentiful activities for the kiddos, and a lovely hot tub. Spacious rooms and many lovely amenities make this the perfect destination for a family vacation. We’re already looking at the calendar for our next stay. The owners are beyond lovely and highly recommend!

We had a great time celebrating a weekend with friends in a beautiful Donner house! It was comfortable and the owners took a lot of pride in their Donner home and it showed.
The kitchen was fantastic and fully equipped, my dog loved the dog toys she found and the kids had a blast playing in the snow!
Hot tubbing in the snow is always a treat and even more so when it's actually snowing!!
My only wish was that we would have had a three day weekend; none of us wanted to leave!!! We can't wait to go back!

We stayed at the house in mid-March, 2023. This was an annual ski trip with a group of friends from high school and college. The snow was piled high along the street, but the driveway and (most importantly) the rear deck with access to the hot tub was cleared away. First, Jill was very easy to work with and communicative. She texted me the information I needed, when I needed it, and responded right away. In terms of the house, it was perfect for our group. Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms - and the most well-stocked kitchen you can imagine - from dishware, to utensils, to a full spice rack - we had everything we needed for meals at the house. Towels, linens and blankets were provided - and more than we needed. The house set up is perfect for the winter, with a vestibule/mudroom at the front. We would stay again - and I have a hunch some of the folks would bring their families to stay as well. Thank you.

Thank you Jill for such a lovely stay at your amazing cabin! The house is a perfect set up for two families. We had a blast hanging out in the gameroom loft playing epic foosball tournaments, Pacman, and the slot machine. The well stocked kitchen had everything we needed to cook gourmet meals at home. We appreciated the little touches, like zip lock bags, storage containers and bag clips. We loved using the snow shoes to explore right out the back yard. The hot tub was a hit too! Jill is a great host - she is responsive and checked in a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely return!

WOW! Jill, the owner of this property, was an absolute joy to work with. She responded promptly and was so very accommodating. This property is the best VRBO I have stayed in. The eye for detail is amazing, anything that you have at home and more is provided. The home is extremely clean, the layout is so accommodating for family and friends. The beds are so very comfortable. The view is beautiful, especially enjoyable when sitting in the spa. I can't say enough about this property. This was a great home for two families with young kids. They had plenty of toys to keep the little ones occupied, a fantastic yard to play in, and the kitchen was set up well for cooking meals. Central location. We will definitely stay here again!

This is a wonderful cabin. The owners have thought of everything. Everything was well stocked, kitchen, and bathrooms. We were very comfortable. This cabin is convenient for going into town and all other areas you want to visit. Only one suggestion. Upstairs in the summer is very warm. If you can’t get ceiling fans, standing fans would of helped. We managed but it does get warm up there. We would love to go back and stay again.

When you think of renting a house in Tahoe, this is exactly y what you imagine it to be. The house is spacious, very clean and stocked with everything we needed. Our dog loved exploring and walking in the neighborhood. Jill responded quickly and was a pleasure to communicate with. We will definitely stay here again.

Great for Family Get Together
Our family stayed at the Firehouse Lodge in mid July. We loved the home, all the amenities, the location and the responsiveness of the host. The kitchen is stocked with all sorts of tools and cookware. The home is well laid out; there are places to connect and the bedrooms are all private and quiet. Jill is a tremendously responsive host - there was a short internet outage (squirrels, of course!) and she forwarded me all the information to keep us updated during the outage. Definitely 5 stars all around!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home! Huge yard with lots of space for kids to run around and a great hot tub for all to enjoy! The house was lovely and incredibly well stocked - from the pantry to towels to board games! We would definitely come back!

Perfect Home For Families
We absolutely loved our stay here! Truly a home away from home. The layout is wonderful especially if you have someone in your group with mobility issues. Each ‘kid’ room is next to an adult room which makes it convenient to keep track of littles. The loft is full of games and a huge perk of this house! The kitchen is indeed fully stocked unlike many VRBOs. We can’t wait to go back.

Perfect Getaway
The house was much bigger than expected and the high ceilings are really pretty. We used the hot tub every day after skiing and the grill for a nice dinner after a long day. There is also a really cool bar set up that came in handy for craft cocktails. Everything was pretty straightforward and easy to figure out. The house has everything you might need for cooking in and relaxing. Wish we had spent more time just hanging out for another day. Guess we’ll have to come back again!
