Came to float the river

Comfortable beds. Equipped kitchen except for Keurig coffee pot. Wish we had understood that there were stairs and only the bunkbeds were downstairs. Needed soap and cleaning supplies. Septic system worked well. Outside sitting areas were enjoyable except we all needed handrails to get to them and the river. Inside and outside areas could have been cleaner. There were too many insects. Enjoyed the living areas downstairs and the large rear windows. Very peasant stay.

We had a wonderful family vacation. Home was clean and comfortable, backyard is amazing (we enjoyed the grill and fire pit), location on the Guadalupe was great. Water was high and cold this year. Easy drive to the horseshoe (paid parking at Mo Market on 306). We floated back to the house from the beginning of the horseshoe, which took about 3 hours.

The location right on the river, with the sound of the waterfall is unbelievable! Probably one of the best spots on the river!!
Our Annual Sister's weekend (9 of us, 47 yrs old - 69 yrs old) was a success with this house. The upstairs beds are oh, so comfortable. And plenty of beds and baths for all of us.
But, there was only 1 TV in the whole house and it was Not a smart TV. You had to use their amazon fire stick, with your account to get anything!! We could have really used a broom to clean the floors. The yard company needs to blow off the concrete patio areas. There was an ant problem, but found bug spray.
But, Great location and we enjoyed our stay.

We looked for cleaning supplies- broom, mop, grill products and were unable to do so.
The property was amazing! But wish we could of cleaned up the floors better before leaving, we bought a broom, and used towels for wet/dirty floors

We had a wonderful weekend with the family at this fabulous home! The living/Dining/Kitchen is very open and the view is amazing! We had a blast sitting around the firepit listening to the water. The home was clean, beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for everyone.

We had a great stay on this property. We had a group of 10. My wife and I our two children and their spouses and 4 grand children aged 3, 4, 4, and 12 Plus two labs. The house accommodated us just fine. The River view from the family room plus the sound of the waterfall were outstanding. Would do it again.

Great location and easy to get to. Host was easy to deal with, and property is clean and spacious. No complaints here. We found the large space on first floor perfect for gathering, and we enjoyed a fire in the pit on the perfect patio. Great property, well cared for, and we’ll definitely return. Thanks!

The photos do not do this property justice! We could not have asked for a more perfect weekend getaway. The living area is so spacious and inviting. The location on the river is perfect and the sound of the water is so peaceful. We loved making a fire in the fire pit and sitting under the pretty white lights. We were in town for Wurstfest and it was such an easy drive to and from. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable house, tons of natural beauty, large rear windows with a great view of the river, kitchen well-equipped. Remember to bring your TV streaming logins, etc., so you will have access to more than FreeVee.

We enjoyed the stay. I was a little worried about some of the details about the septic system and AC when I got the check in instructions but our stay was great. Lots of room, nice location, the house was comfortable and had plenty of space for our large family. Great location.

Efficient check-in, responsive host. Beautiful spot on the river.

This a perfect spot on the river, even with reduced flow rates due ti the drought. Accommodations were good for our 9 family members and the view was great! The house could use a deep cleaning but we will definitely plan to return!

We had a great time! Plenty of room for everyone, kitchen is well supplied and rooms are comfortable. The only issues were the bathrooms do not look like they were cleaned. We had to clean both upstairs bathrooms before our use. And would like to see a railing of some sort on the downstairs sitting area by the river. It would be pretty dangerous with smaller kids or unsteady adults. Other than that the location of the house is amazing, sitting in the river and enjoying the water and the sound of the river was the best part of the night. Loved our stay and will definitely book again next year!

This is our 4th time staying here and will continue to do so any time we go float the river. We love how easy it is to communicate with Dino and how easy it was to access the key to the house. The new steps to get to the river made a huge difference from the last time we were there. My mother is elderly and she was able to access the river with the wide steps. When accessing the river from the house it is nice and shallow and was so easy to set a beach chair there for my mother to sit and enjoy the water without going anywhere. A huge plus is that this home is Pet friendly. The 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths was perfect for our group of 9. We drove to the horseshoe which is the parking to White Water Sport park/shuttle. That was a 3 hour float to the rental home and we exit there. So needless to say that our float was stress free and very enjoyable. We are looking forward to booking this home again in the October... We have done that a few times and if has also been great. Thank you Dino for sharing you beautiful place with us.

Really enjoyed our stay here. House is perfect for having family and friends. Host was attentive and quick to respond. Only “negative” was the comfort of the mattresses. A little too soft and squishy for several of our guests, including ourselves. Other than that, 5 stars and still would highly recommend.

We had a disaster stay at this property. The home is dated, on a septic and the pictures are misleading. We spent 5 hours on the property before a pipe backed up and spewed feces and water on the groups belongings leaving us to move into another property at midnight on Texas state graduation weekend with my elderly/pregnant individuals .
Pros
Good water access and the house was well supplied in terms of toaster, coffee pot, WiFi etc. Check in and owner responsiveness was fast.
Cons
Dated and old home
Mattresses/linen/towels old itchy & uncomfortable
If a problem does arise ensure you’ve documented throughly & just go through your financial institution for the dispute.
Simply the price does not equal the product. You can get better bang for your buck elsewhere.

We had a wonderful time at this home for our family spring break vacay (March 2023). We had 5 adults (including grandparents) 2 kids, and dogs and it had plenty of space. The location was perfect with great fishing spot on the river and next the waterfall and close enough to town. We loved roasting marshmallows at the fire pit during evenings. Only thing was the bathrooms weren’t stocked with body wash and shampoo/cond like we expected but it had everything else. There was a little store close so no big deal. I’d suggest they get a new grill as the one is old but we used to cook just fine.
I’d love to stay here again and definitely recommend it to others!! Really great place!!

This house really provided a stay that was beyond our expectations. The home was very clean and the location was perfect for our interests. The fly fishing members of the group were on the water every day and were never disappointed. We all enjoyed the views from the back of the house where we watched raptors and other birds, deer crossing and anglers on the river. At night, we sat on the bottom deck and just enjoyed the sound of the rushing water and the owls. All four of us agreed that it was a stay that was filled with great memories.

Great time!

We really enjoyed our six days at "Villa Cascata." So much so that we didn't explore the surrounding area as much as we're normally inclined to do. We had perfect weather, low 70s and sunny almost every day, and sitting along the Guadalupe River enjoying the outdoor spaces on the property was all too appealing. Location is ideal, an hour or less from Austin, 20 minutes to New Braunfels, easy drives to trails and restaurants. We would love to visit again.

All who were in our property thoroughly enjoyed their stay. There is plenty to do in the area, but the property and views are nice enough to never leave the house.

The pictures on VRBO did not due the house justice. Great River view. Easy access to Gruene and New Braunfels.
We were there Thanksgiving 2022, the fire pit was great for the cool weather. We would rent this house again.
Parking is an issue if you have over 3 cars.

Beautiful property, relaxing with river sounds. Wildlife viewing. Easy access to local amenities. Wish it had easier access to river with hand rails.

Loved staying right on the river! It was beautiful and relaxing.
5.0 / 5.0
Easy booking, easy check in, easy check out. Loved it.
The rooms are much larger in person and the back of the house… just wow. The pictures posted don’t compare to what you really get.
The only things that would make this perfect stay even better:
- it’s time for a deep clean on the inside, especially floors and windows. I would have not noticed it fully, but we had an 8mo old and 18mo old with us and after 15min crawling around/ pulling up, they were covered in dirt
- outdoor stairs and cement pad could use railings, maybe that’s why the neighbors steps look so appealing (so many signs telling you not to use them!)
Otherwise we loved the stay!
5.0 / 5.0
The pictures of the home don’t do it justice! It is way more beautiful in person. We rented the home for a family vacation and couldn’t have asked for anything more! The river is easily accessible, the sound of the waterfall is so peaceful and the wildlife adds just the right touch of nature. We will be back to stay again!
5.0 / 5.0
We had a great time! This is our 3rd time to stay here.
Plenty of room for everyone.
Great location!!
