Place, location, view are wonderful. Communication was spot on. Just a great time and no hiccups. Highly recommend.

Overall it was a really nice stay. Everything we needed was there. The walk to the beach only took about 5 minutes, and the beach was really nice and quiet. There was plenty of everything we needed for our entire 9 days. I did read where someone complained about not enough toilet paper and detergent in another review. I’m not sure what they are used to, but toilet paper, dish, and laundry detergent is something we always bring with us on our stays at this type of property. Over all it was beautiful and quiet location. Getting there was a little ruff, and because our plane got in late from a 5 hour delay, and we had to taxi up at night and back down the next to pick our rental. Make sure you have transportation, taxi are $50 each trip.

High up on a steep hill, the Villa offers a beautiful view of the ocean and Nevis, including its volcano often topped with puffy clouds. The 3-bedroom house is suitable for 3 couples and includes a pull out couch appropriate for a small child.
The location is perfect for a quiet, remote vacation. If you are an avid reader or a writer, you will love sitting on the deck enjoying the view and taking in the constant breeze. Stargazing at night is a wonderful escape from city life.
If you want some action, you will need to drive or taxi across very bumpy, crater-like roads a good distance to activities like ziplining, ATV, catamaran--all of which were lots of fun. I highly recommend Johnson Taxi service, always on-time, friendly and flexible.
We were disappointed in Turtle Beach for the lack of sand and overgrowth of brush and seaweed that made it inaccessible. For a swim in the ocean, spend a day on a catamaran or take the ferry to Nevis and go to Pinneys beach.
The owners were very responsive to my many questions prior to the trip, which was one reason I selected this property. However, less so when I mentioned some concerns I thought they should be aware of.
All in all it was great family time for my spouse and our 4 adult children.

such a great place

Okay, Mundo’s beach bar is the only good service on the island I am pretty sure. So definitely go check out his place on reggae beach. The house is what is advertised with an awesome view of Nevis. The view definitely doesn’t get old. The hill going to the house is steep, but get used to it, that’s how the island is. And no one cares if you cry about a steep hill.
Next thing, the property is nice and the owners don’t bother you unless you need them. Just the way it should be. The only knock I have on the property was the toilet paper, trash bags and laundry detergent were very much lacking. Very small amounts of these were provided and things we weren’t expecting to have to get very early in our trip. When traveling with women you literally have to hear about that until you have them. So could have done without that.
Overall, great property and you wouldn’t be disappointed.

This three-bedroom villa is exactly as advertised, if not better! We stayed four weeks in this immaculate and well-appointed home and came to love it. The neighborhood is quiet and well-kept. Our daily walks were rigorous, to say the least, due to the steep hills, but the views were worth it! The view from the verandah overlooking the strait between St Kitts and Nevis is captivating, as are the stars at night … and the occasional troupe of vervet monkeys who visited the grounds to graze.
Lisl & Buzz were wonderful to work with — helpful, accommodating and quick to reply to WhatsApp messages.
A five-star villa for certain!

The views from the villa were exceptional. We loved the secluded beaches near the villa. They provided exactly what we wanted on this family Christmas vacation. Spent most of our days snorkeling and swimming. Our grandchildren are young so keep in mind your expectations. We feel we stayed on the best end of St. Kitts.

We had a wonderful stay at this villa. The communication with the owner was fantastic - they made sure that we had all the info we needed to have a great time on the island and answered all our questions and handled all concerns.
The view is over the top fantastic and waking up in the mornings and sitting on the back patio is so delightful.
The beds and bedding were all comfortable, a set of bath and beach towels is supplied for up to 6 (we were a family of 4). There is a washer and dryer to refresh your set of towels and linens. The kitchen is well stocked in order to cook a few of your own meals as dining out can become quite expensive. As the owners suggested, stop at the grocery store upon arriving on the island for your supplies. Ram was a well stocked and reasonably priced store.
The villa is also very clean. Understand that the bedrooms are air conditioned (which you should turn off when you go out for the day), but the main living area is kept cool by opening the windows / doors to let in the air that blows through the villa. The small pool is also a way to keep cool - we took a dip a few times - refreshing.
We would have liked to have a jeep for the rather steep hill to the villa, but managed with a van.
The neighborhood is very nice and quiet - we felt very safe.
Some highlights were the New Years Eve celebration at the Spice Mill complete with fireworks, trip to Nevis to have lunch at the Rock, and a catamaran excursion with Blue Water Adventures.

From the time we walked into the house and saw the view of water and Nevis directly thru the living room, we said yes. The house was
Lovely, well equipped, super clean, and pleasing to the eye. Master mattress was a definite hit. We laid out on the back deck catch rays and cooling trade winds. And the owners were super responsive and instructive. Just an awesome stay.

We had an amazing stay at this villa. The property owners, Buzz and Lisl, were so wonderful with communication and giving us helpful information for our stay. The Villa was as advertised and had spectacular views!! The only thing that could’ve been better was if I booked a second week! You will not be disappointed with this property!

Property was exactly as described! Beautiful house with amazing views of Turtle Bay and Nevis! We had a wonderful week visiting the local beaches. Everyone on the Island was so welcoming.

We absolutely loved staying at this house. The views are unbelievable, the house is gorgeous and the area is unspoiled. Buzz and Lisl were awesome and gave us tons of advice and places to see. The beach is close and at Cockleshell Beach, only a few minute drive, has great food and beaches with tons of space from other people. Also at Cockleshell there is snorkel rental and tons of great reef fish and conch shells can be found directly off the beach. Definitely hit the Friday night lobster dinner at Reggae Beach (Cockleshell) as it was off the charts. As for the house it is roomy, clean and had plenty of room for 8 people. The pool is warm and had incredible views of turtle beach and the surrounding area., The beds were comfortable and showers were large and clean. Monkeys and birds frequent the area outside the house so it's a good idea to bring binoculars so you can see them all close up.Cockleshell and Reggae Beach are the same place so keep that in mind when looking for areas close by. The water taxi will pick you up at Reggae for an awesome day trip to Nevis, only a few minute boat ride. We rented scooters on Nevis (the guys name is Kevin and he's super cool) and had a blast exploring and seeing all the wonderful sights. Of note to see is Lovers Beach. An awesome beach that sea turtles nest on during nesting season, as well as the numerous estates surrounding the island. On St Kitts be sure to check out Brimstone Fort. Highly recommend this place!!

Accused by the owners of soiling a washcloth. We brought one of our own which was left behind. Will not be staying here again.

the property certainly was consistent with the pictures and representation in the listing - but I’d say the best part of this rental was the communication with the owners before and during the stay - they offered lots of recommendations, which were super helpful as we had not been to St Kitts before, and they were very responsive when I reached out at any point before or during the stay. I definitely recommend this property and owner.

From start to finish this trip was perfect. Buzz and Lisl were the most responsive, thoughtful hosts we have ever encountered.
If you want the most fantastic view, quite neighborhood, easy living house, book it NOW. In all fairness, the road into Turtle Beach is quite bumpy and requires your full attention, and the house has some deferred maintenance needs, but like all beach houses that is an ongoing issue! The inside of the home was sooo comfy and the porch is breathtaking. Kitchen was well stocked and if you desire, a wonderful housekeeper is available. We were there 5 weeks…and I left kicking and screaming! The island people are incredible. The Park Hyatt is minutes away, as is Reggae Beach Bar and a Sat farmers market. Living out on the Southeast peninsula provides a real island feel but you are only a beautiful 15 minute drive to grocery stores. i could not recommend hosts, house, island any higher. We miss it all!

This is a well appointed house with a fabulous view and very helpful hosts. We had comfortable seating for six adults both inside and on the huge covered patio where we delighted in looking out over the straight between St. Kitts and Nevis. And the kitchen was fully equipped - and fully enjoyed by our resident chefs :).
The villa is a short drive to good beaches and beach bars as well as several fine restaurants. Groceries are a half an hour away, driving first down the very steep road in front of the villa, then (gingerly) over a half mile of pocked dirt road. Once past that, the roads are fine. A car is a necessity given the location. Very private, warm and protected swimming at Major Beach near the south landing craft ferry terminal (we were advised against taking our car to Nevis using this ferry).
Nevis can be visited quite easily for a day visit using the shuttle speedboats from Cockleshell beach pier. Just leave your car in the lot, and get a cab on Nevis. Lots to see and do on Nevis.
What few minor issues we had with the house were quickly resolved by the very responsive hosts. The pool is more of a dip pool and quite brisk :). Best suited to adults.
Overall, a wonderful base from which to enjoy St. Kitts and Nevis. We had many wonderful wine and rum punch evenings overlooking beautiful Nevis. Perfect Caribbean climate - lovely breezes, morning downpours to refresh, and temperate daytime temperatures. A great holiday enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Buss and Lisl for their very attentive hosting.

The 5 star reviews are accurate, this property is exceptional. The house is clean, has a million dollar view and is very spacious. We couldn’t have asked for a better house or hosts. The hosts are very attentive and helped make our trip go smoothly. We will definitely be back.

This property is outstanding. The double sliding doors open to the deck and pool with world class view. Enjoyed cooking most every night with one dinner at Spice Mill. Dwayne stocked the house with grocery items and we brought food as well. The neighborhood feels very safe and has cute monkeys and windsurfers visible from the deck on Turtle Beach. The hosts are fantastic as well. Very informative and helpful.

This was our second stay and it was just as spectacular the second time around. Unbelievable views from all rooms (including all three bedrooms). If you want a peaceful setting...this is the place for you. Would also recommend Ben & Nikki for a bucket-list sailing and snorkeling experience ([email protected]).

This property and its views Are amazing. The communication was perfect and always quick.
My daughter lives on island and this was a great escape for for her over the holiday
5.0 / 5.0
The mist negative thing I can say about the experience were the glitches with my VRBO account which still aren't fixed. That said, it has nothing to do with our actual stay at Turtle Beach.
The view, the view, the view! What a beautiful place! The house was well described and maintained. We lived on the porch facing Nevis and when we weren't exploring, hung out in our infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The pool was very clean. The photos may lead you to believe it is slightly bigger but I would say very comfortable for 6 people. We were 4 and quite happy.
The communications with the hosts were great. The check in very easy and they were most accommodating We loved the area, especially Reggae Beach which was about a 6 min car ride.
One note, if you're going to stay away from the resorts you need a car. And the road to Turtle Beach is quite bumpy. Turtle Beach was a little more rustic and to be honest, it's more like a 5 min walk downhill and walking back up can be strenuous especially if you're carrying anything. Again, a car is best in this side of the island. The water is clear and clean and the fools at the beach bars was very good.
We also went to Shipwreck Bar and further down to Discovery Beach (2 min) which was beautiful for sunset. Back at the house you face the sunrise and those can be magnificent.
We would've liked a couple more baking/casserole type dishes for the oven, but that is a minor note. We like to cook.
Also, be sure to stop at the grocery store before you go to the house as it's about a 20 minute drive back toward the airport. The host let you know this as well. There are spices left over from previous guests but as far as any water or drinks you need to make sure you stop and pick them up first. And insect spray too. There are mosquitoes and no-seeums everywhere so be prepared. Also, the book about St. Kitts should be revised as many places have since closed or have different hours.
If you want a relaxing getaway on a quieter island in the Caribbean , St. Kitts and Villa Alamandra is for you. We had a lovely stay and would definitely book again.

Fabulous Family Fun!
Any chance we get to spend time with our adult children is wonderful but to enjoy it in paradise is that much more special! The remote location was fabulous. We even enjoyed sitting outside watching the afternoon rain showers blow in! We always rate our vacations by asking ourselves if we would go back and the answer was 100% for all of us!

Villa Alamandra
This was a beautiful property! You can't beat the view of the Ocean and Nevis in the distance. It was so relaxing to sit on the patio, soak in the view, and enjoy the breeze. That quickly became our favorite spot. The pool was also nice and clean. It was the perfect location to explore the 2 islands (catching a water taxi to Nevis at Reggae Beach). The neighborhood is very quite and in a perfect location to explore the island of St. Kitts and enjoy some of the best beaches, and great restuarants. Getting a vehicle from Dwayne was very easy. He met us at the airport with the vehicle and led us to the house. This was so helpful. We received wonderful communication for our host and hostess prior to coming, which helped tremendously. This communication was awesome! We highly recommend Villa Alamandra.

BREATHTAKING VIEWS
This home is OUTSTANDING and the views are absolutely breathtaking! The owner provided excellent suggestions for dinning, sight seeing and shopping. I have rented several VRBO's and Lisl/Buzz are the BEST hosts ever!

Beautiful
The property is one of the most gorgeous views of the island of St.Kitts and Nevis. The owners helped us from the moment we booked until we left the island. I would live to stay here again if ever had the opportunity.

Simply gorgeous! Wish I could live there.
This home is beautiful with magnificent views! It is spacious, well decorated and a joy to be in. The owners were incredibly gracious, responsive and gave a lot of great information! I highly recommend making a stop at the store on the way to the house as the closest grocery store is a bit of a drive. There are lots of places still "Covid closed," (including the Turtle Beach Club) but hopefully will be returning soon. We would definitely stay here again if ever in St. Kitts!

Fantastic property and managers
We had a wonderful stay at this fantastic property. The view is second to none. Buzz and Lisl were wonderful to work with and very informative and responsive with all of our questions, and we had a lot - thank you:)! We rented our car from Dwayne and will do it again next time - we are looking forward to our next stay!

Beautiful house with even more beautiful view
We absolutely loved this house. The view could not be better. Buzz was very communicative and answered any questions we had right away. Can walk to nicer beach in like 15 minutes but recommend the 5 minute drive. We didn't want to leave. Highly recommend

We had a great time at this beautiful home! The panoramic view was unbelievable and worth the stay. We went snorkeling, sailing, scuba diving, and just some relaxing! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Trip of a Lifetime
Buzz and Lisl could not have more available to answer questions before and during our stay. The house is well equipped and with only a few minor details lacking, i.e. a few kitchen items, this house, the view, the weather and the people of St. Kitts and Nevis made our 2 week trip unforgettable. Our favorite features of the house are the 20 or so ft. sliding doors that open to the veranda and a view that makes it hard to leave. When we did leave it was mostly to the nearby (walk or drive) Cockleshell Beach and the Reggae Beach Bar & Restaurant, on the calm and crystal clear Caribbean. Saturday a.m. market at the nearby Coconut Farm, adventuring up to Romney Manor & Caribelle Batik and Arthurs for lunch, water taxi to Nevis and 4x4 tour with Funky Monkey Tours there were highlights. Renting a car from the property manager made life even easier. Highly recommend!

Quiet and clean Caribbean villa with amazing views
Going into this vacation was kind of stressful w/ all the covid protocols & w/ knowing the risk of possibly testing positive for covid for the return flight home. After much hesitation & a daughter who was constantly ill from her 1st semester @ college we decided to go for it & we are so happy that we did. The only way I think we could’ve gotten covid was by bringing it there ourselves. Every beach & restaurant was open to the fresh Caribbean air & all staff wore masks indoor & out. The owners were fantastic about helping us through the process & the plethora of knowledge of their valuable experience on the island. The list of suggested restaurants & activities were a huge help & made this vacation simple & successful. We enjoyed our trip to Nevis, hiking up to the crater of Mt Liamuiga, a snorkel trip, & lounging on some of the nearby beaches. We also attended church on a Sunday morning which was a great experience. All the locals we met were very welcoming and accommodating all over the islands. A rental Jeep is a must bc it goes over the unpaved roads & up the hills like a beast. The house itself is on a steep hill where it catches the ocean winds. The doors open when home is a must bc there is no air condition in the main living area. The bedrooms were comfortably controlled at night w/ their own air condition units. The views are priceless & we enjoyed them from every room in the house. The pool was a little chilly for me, but my husband and teenagers did not mind. We enjoyed the family room watching movies @ night with our AppleTV plugged into their tv & the tables inside & out for some home cooked meals w/ the fully stocked kitchen of Cooking items. I liked how the homeowners left staples like plastic wrap, salt&pepper, garbage bags, etc. They only asked for you to replace if you used all of it or getting low. I brought my own laundry detergent bc I’m picky & I do laundry constantly on vacation to avoid packing dirty clothes. The washer & dryer units were able to keep up w/ my demand. We used the 2 beach chairs 2 times but u have to go to the part of the beach that doesn’t have chairs for rent. They are Tommy Bahama brand like I own at home from Costco. The owners provided beach towels which was handy. We were a little disappointed in turtle beach as it is not maintained & has sargassum which is not the owners fault. That wouldn’t deter me from renting again bc Cockleshell beach is so close & beautiful. Look forward to going back some day!

Top Notch Experience
This was an experience of a lifetime at a paradise location overlooking the beach/ ocean. William greeted us with emails filled with helpful information and suggestions for local things to do and how to navigate the island. They were very quick to respond to any message sent and were a godsent to guide us thru the Covid procedures for entering and exiting the island. I will say take their advise concerning getting groceries prior to your arrival which will help in the long run.
The house was great, spacious, and ready for our arrival. We are actually looking at returning in Dec thanks to this wonderful experience and renting their property again. I wish I could share the pictures and videos we took as well as the drone footage.
Thank you again for making our 30 Wedding Anniversary and lifetime memory!

Respite from the world
One thing that stands out about this rental is how attentive the owners are and how much information they provide. We have rented homes all over the world and have never had this much contact with the owners. They respond immediately to any inquiry both before arrival and while you are there. The home is lovely and very comfortable and the view is out of this world. Relaxing on the veranda was one of the greatest pleasures of the day. I would say that the pool is actually a plunge pool rather than a swimming pool but there are so many beaches nearby that is all that is needed. We thought the location was perhaps the best on the island. It is somewhat remote but that translates to private and excellent restaurants and beaches are easy to get to.

Exodus !
"Movement of jah people" for sure….my wife and I's 2nd year in a row to this amazing Villa; the source of all my relaxing thoughts / memories for the next year !! …..Villa Alamandra ….its even fun to say....we going next year for our 3rd year....why 3 yrs in a row? why indeed?
because there is a perfect view of the sea and Nevis... just wow!.... clean pool out front looking to the sea...spacious rooms, very clean, great open kitchen, washer / dryer, and comfortable furniture...(I listened to every Bob Marley album while we were there for 14 days ! can you tell)
We watched the sunrise from our bedroom EVERY day, the sunset from our daily walks to the Turtle Beach where you can snorkel and find shells = don't forget to check who is inside the shell before you take it ! (2 minutes away walking) "Rise up this mornin'...Smiled with the risin' sun..."
10-15 minute walk away great little beach bar grille Reggae Beach Bar....nice fine dining Spice Mill also right next door...amazing mahi mahi I had....so fresh!

The View is incredible and the house is great
The house is incredibly well appointed and I cannot imagine anyone not having what they would need to enjoy their vacation. The owners are attentive and responsive and very nice folks.
The house has a view that is simply incredible. The two minute walk to a secluded private beach . If you want more action it is a two minute drive to Cockleshell beach where you have a handful of beach bars and restaurants.
From Cockleshell you can also arrange deep see fishing or a water taxi to Nevis. Overall the two weeks my family spent there was fabulous. I highly recommend the propriety.

Unbeatable view!
The home is spacious and clean. The view from the deck is truly unbelievable. It is a short walk down to a beautiful and secluded beach (turtle beach). If you are seeking a quiet, secluded, tropical beach vacation, this is a perfect spot.
As it is in a tropical location, you have to deal with some bugs/insects. The bedrooms are all air conditioned and cool off very quickly. The main room/kitchen is not and although it gets a nice breeze, it can get pretty warm especially in the afternoon. I know electricity is very expensive on the island but a couple of air conditioning units in that area hooked up to a solar panel would solve the issue nicely.
All in all, it was a very nice stay and we would not hesitate to go back.
