About this cottage rental
Minutes away from wineries, waterfalls, hiking, and the village of Naples, New York, Sunnyside Shore is the perfect place for your lakeside vacation. This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage sits on the quiet and pristine south end of Canandaigua Lake. Along with a sleeper sofa, this cottage sleeps 4 to 6 people comfortably. Just a quick boat ride down to the north end, Sunnyside Shore offers yards of level beach where you can launch boats; the walk-up entrance to the lake is also the ideal spot for kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, or fans of other water sports. If you’d rather stay on land, Sunnyside Shore has over 100 feet of frontage to soak up the sun or play some field games. A gas grill is available, and the kitchen is fully outfitted to help you cook your meals during your stay. And why not try to catch what you cook? Sunnyside Shore’s 20 foot dock is the perfect place to try your luck with Canandaigua’s trout, bass, and perch.
Sunnyside Shore’s interior is newly updated. Beautiful dark hardwood floors run throughout. All appliances are stainless steel. A stackable washer and drier are located off the kitchen. On the colder nights, you can curl up in front of the gas fireplace, or maybe rent a movie on the 60 inch TV. How about something in 3D? The 3D glasses are available to maximize your viewing experience. Or, if you’d rather watch something in bed, the master bedroom has a mounted 32 inch TV. In the morning, make a fresh cup of coffee in the Keurig, then go outside and enjoy the view of the mountains, valleys, and water from our Adirondack chairs. Spend your day hiking to waterfalls that are within walking distance, sampling from several nearby wineries, shopping in the quaint village of Naples, boating up to the bars and restaurants in Canandaigua, or simply sitting in the sun and watching the waves go by.
Whether you’re in town for a summer wine tour, a fishing vacation, a golf trip, or to hit the slopes at Bristol Mountain, Sunnyside Shore is the perfect location! It is available to rent year round to help you explore the heart of the Finger Lakes region!

Everything was wonderful. We have stayed in many cottages and this one was the best kept we have ever been in. The area is so calm and quiet. The owners were easy to communicate with and quickly responded to a question. We would not hesitate to return.

Wonderful location right on the water. Down fall, located next to a party house trailer house. Huge rave started about 6 pm and ended around 2 am. Large group of 50, Sound system blasting, Professional grade fireworks over us for hours. Lack of any of concern of how their behavior was effecting us. So many cars that if there was an emergency we couldn't have gotten out. Very entitled people! We had a great time anyway and tried to just make the best of the situation.

Second time staying at Sunnyside Shore! Beautiful place, private, relaxing and perfect in every way! Communication with Brian the owner is excellent! He responds promptly when contacted! I would highly recommend this lake house, it is a 5 star for sure!!!

our 3rd stay--that says it all--perfect location--representation perfect--

We had a very relaxing stay at the cottage (as did our 2 pups) . We used the kayaks every day and saw some beautiful sunsets from the dock. The house was well stocked with everything you would need and Brian was very responsive. It was very quiet and peaceful . (no one was staying at the house just to the South, so it was very private).

Everything was as advertised.

The location of this house is absolutely amazing! The house is private, the views from the dock are great, wonderful beach space and quiet. We spent a week and enjoyed the local wineries/restaurants, hiking at Watkins Glen and Grimes Glen, and had a blast on a pontoon boat we rented from Smith Bros Marina (located right across the lake from the house). We were able to rent the boat for 2 days and dock right at the house! The house was clean and just big enough for us as we are a family of 4. The furniture could have maybe used some updating but the house has been recently updated and was very cute. Couldnt have asked for a better or more memorable vacation!

This is the third year we' ve stayed at Sunnyside Shores. We always enjoy our time ! It is very quiet, no neighbors too close . This year we had to cut it short..between my husbands health problens and the smoke from Canadian wildfires. We were refunded those days without question. We will return !

Quiet Retreat
This is the second year that we have stayed at this property. It is very clean and well appointed. We truly enjoy how quiet this location is for unwinding and relaxing. Having direct access to the water for swimming is also a plus. Definitely recommend this location.

50th birthday getaway
This home was absolutely everything we could have wanted and more. The inside was very clean, cozy & comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. The outside is where we spent most of our time.. The weather was warm and beautiful. We loved all aspects of the outdoor private space. We did a lot of fishing and tried kayaking for the first time, which was fun. The owner is very easy to contact and reply’s in a timely manner. Overall, I would highly recommended this home to anyone who is looking for a private, relaxing and wonderful time by the lake.

Loved staying at this property. We’ve stayed on this street for several years and moved to this cottage and loved it. We look to return next year.

Perfection!!
directions to cottage were flawless. The cottage was perfect for 2 "seniors"-no stairs and flat yard and waterfront. Everything was ready for us and our Golden loved watching fishermen, birds and boaters. Hope to stay with them again next year! Thank you Brian

We swam, fished and relaxed. Sunnyside surely describes it. Quiet as it's the last place on the road. No traffic to speak of. They have everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Thank You Brian!

My family of 4, plus my sister and our dog had an incredible stay. We did a mix of hanging at the house to swim and kayak, and part waterfall hiking (Watkins glen, taughanock, and Robert treman parks) and part visiting wineries. My fav part was jumping into a kayak to follow an eagle we spotted and seeing it catch and eat it’s dinner! Absolutely memorable!
Inside- The place is cozy but we had no issue with the inside space even with a few rainy afternoons! It looked modern, the beds were extremely comfortable, and we used the laundry machine often. Kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans, paper goods, etc. We did not realize it did not have WiFi… this has been pretty standard in our vacation rentals. Our kids (7 & 9) were disappointed but made due just fine with the direct tv. Signal was weak there and it was pretty hard to do any work if you need the internet.
Outside- omg, paradise! Plenty of lawn space, tables, chairs, huge fire ring, spectacular sunsets, flat beach to swim- we brought floats to swim, went boating everyday and played badminton, grilled, fished (my 7 yo and I caught 5 sunnies with the same 2 worms in under an hour!) and sipped wine to our delight. The gypsy moth caterpillars were a little out of control, but I think it comes with the time of the year.
The house is at the end of a very quiet street, which provided an easy scenic path to run (I zoned out and ran a few extra miles, oops…) and walk our dog… all the neighbor were friendly and dog friendly too!
Downtown Naples has wonderful ice cream, pies, restaurants, and wineries less than 15 min away. Grimes glen is such a fun and wet hike and is extremely close, as well. We went twice!
Note- the neighbor was not occupying the house “the speakeasy” next door. It looked a little “frat house” and it might have been different stay if they were there… the neighbor on the other side was friendly but it felt like had the place to ourselves! I can honestly say this was everything we hoped it would be!

We planned a mid October trip to the finger lake region to see some fall colors and do a day trip to Niagara Falls both worked out wonderfully. The colors were in full display and the day trip to Niagara was easy and worth the drive! We has some nice warm days and were able to enjoy everything the lake had to offer as well. Swimming canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Each night ended with a fire in the fire pit and some great views overlooking Lake Canandaguia.

This property is unbelievable, clean well stocked, and the location on the lake was awesome!! Beautiful sunsets, fire's lakeside in the firepit, fish jumping while just sitting taking in the fall foliage. It felt like we had the lake to ourselves. We will definitely be back and recommend this cottage, we had no reason at all to need the owners for anything, but by the way the house is taken care of we feel confident they would be quick to respond. This is most certainly our best rental yet from multiple sites. Thanks again Brian and Lindsay

Location is great. We didn't have people on either side of the house when we were there. It was peaceful and quiet. The lake was just beautiful. Fishing off the dock was fun. We sat out at the firepit every night. The kitchen had everything you may need. The layout of the house was nice. Our only disappointments were that we couldn't use the gas fire place. We didn't know it would be turned off. It was chilly and it would have felt good. The water pressure was terrible.
