Perfect stay
We stayed here for a change of pace from working remote from our home in NJ and to get in some snowboarding at Mohawk Mountain. The Barn was exactly as advertised. I highly recommend The Barn, especially if you are a musician (we are not!). The property was clean and the driveway was plowed after a snow storm. The host was very accessible, proactive, and helpful. We are considering going back next month. Thank you Richard for a cool unique cozy fun stay.

The Barn is great for 2 people. It’s open and airy, and the 2nd floor has lovely light.
We quite enjoyed our couple of months here. Our landlord was quite attentive, answering questions and providing for our needs. Our son came to visit for a few days, and said it had great charm. We agree.

The Barn
Absolutely loved our 3 nights at the Barn. We took an impromptu ski trip to Catamount and Ski Butternut, and stayed here. Gorgeous area with local lakes and hills, and pretty drive up Under Mountain Road to Ski Butternut. The Millerton-Lakeville-Salisbury corner of the world is special, with abundant natural beauty, wonderful restaurants, antiquing, pretty old homes, local movie theatre, Hotchkiss events.
Could not have been happier about our choice. The Barn is beautifully decorated, and so cozy and inviting. Perfect feng shui. Did not want to leave. It was bitter cold the weekend we stayed but the pellet stove made the Barn warm and lovely -- honestly tempted to skip the skiing and stay "home" in the Barn and read, listen to music, sip coffee. The owner was thoughtful and responsive. Wonderful, relaxing 3 days. Hope to go back.

Fun and comfortable
Richard's Lakeville barn/loft hosted our family of 5 during a local HS graduation in May. We had great fun playing the instruments, and enjoyed the togetherness promoted by the open floor plan. Quirky but functional describes the comfy space, and Richard was an excellent host with detailed instructions on all aspects of the space. Highly recommended!

Great Location
This was a great spot to visit our kids at Hotchkiss. The place is clean and well equipped for a short stay. The owner was very responsive to questions and facilitated any needs we had about the property and surrounding area. I would absolutely stay her again. A word of caution, the space is completely open so not a lot of privacy. It was not a problem for our stay, but may catch people by surprise that there is not a private bedroom. I would like the thank Richard for making this a great trip.

Quiet Retreat
The Barn is the perfect place for a quiet retreat from busy life. The owners have painstakingly renovated the property and added incredible details in each area of the space giving it rustic charm. It has a wonderful kitchen and living room that are perfect for gathering, eating, and visiting. It is convenient to The Hotchkiss School, Lakeville and Salisbury, CT and Millerton, NY. We had a wonderful time and hope to stay next time we are in the area.
