Beautiful secluded place with rustic bohemian huts in traditional style. A very beautiful location in the middle of the forest. You can see fireflies and geckos and listen to the silence and birds. I enjoy my stay a lot. Very friendly staff and good food especially the herbal tea. They sell their own cacao bean brew. I loved the garden and the view from my room. The last bit of the road is a bit tricky but possible to go with the scooter slowly. Would love to see some vegan choices for breakfast.

We really loved our stay in Canjahawon. We were looking for respite from the hustle and bustle and the stresses of city life and we found a lot more than that. The view from the hut is enchanting. All you would see are greeneries and all you would hear are birds and other wildlife. At night, fireflies would come into our hut and the sounds of crickets/cicadas lulled us to sleep!
The staff are nothing but wonderful! Ante Fe and Dodo made sure we were well fed during our stay. They make the best turon and pancit canton! We ordered these at least three times! We also loved their hot chocolate made from organic tablea and their corn coffee.
Kuya Harris and Bro Jezrel very kindly toured us around the island on their motorcycles. They even showed us a number of not-so-touristy spots and introduced us to some of their friends! The staff really treat every guest like family. They even invited us to join them for their fiesta lunch, but sadly we were leaving for Bohol.
The roads going to Canjahawon can be a bit tricky.

Very friendly host, delicious good at the little restaurant, the garden
It was an epic journey for us. Very remote location in the mountains which make it very hard to find a taxi.
Room very basic, no hot water. Room open from everywhere so be prepared to have insects/geckos inside the room. Flynet need to be replace and cleaned. No signal, no wifi.
If you have big suitcase, forgot it ! We had 2 big suitcases and it was a nightmare to carry them around. Slippery Stairs everywhere in the property.
Motorbike essentials to travel around.
We only recommend this place if you want to be very close to the nature with minimum facilities.

The Nature around and the place itself is so beautiful
The road to the place was a bit bumpy and at nighttime not easy to find (also this makes the charm of the place)

Very peaceful and quiet. In the middle of nature.
The road to get there is a bit tricky but manageable

The hosts ara absolutely lovely, we were welcomed with some water and some banana from their tree. They recommend us many places to see and how to move around. Very very nice experience overall:)
Definitely worth the price!
I would only improve a little bit the wi fi connection to be able to use it inside the room. For us was not a big issue because we seat on the living room and most of the time we were outside exploring.

Amazing immersion in nature and local life, and the hosts made the experience even more exceptional.
We arrived upon sunset and luckily met a local on the crazy dirt road leading to the hut, who confirmed we were on the right path (we were about to turn around). Maybe a few additional signs would help!
Mosquito nest could soon be replaced though despite a few holes we had not a single mosquitoe bothering us during the night (but a few other insects!). Bathroom could also benefit from some plumbing as everything leaked away. No big deal and definitely part of the experience!

I was a really good experience to meet and stay at a traditional philliphine small farm in the mountains. Rice field, water buffalos, chicken, tranquil
My bathroom was not so good, no hot water, wet floor etc.

Amazing experience, this place is probably one of the most authentic and beautiful we have been in Philippines.
In the middel of nowhere, without any connexion with the stressful life.
Great services, kind people who takes care of this little paradis, outstanding cabanas in the nature.

This was one of the best guesthouses I ever slept in. I was there with my boyfriend and two friends. It was right in the middle of the jungle and very quiet. It is just a magical place. We had fireflies in our room at night and had the jungle right in front of us when we layed in bed. There is no internet and no phone connection which was first shocking for us, but in the end it was great because we used the time for reading, hanging out and just enjoiying the nature. And if we really needed internet, in the village close to the guesthouse is good wifi for a very small amount of money. Now the food: The food the two owners of the guesthouse make for their guests is just so delicious. Sometimes not everything is available but what's available is great. We all loved the pancakes in the morning. So all in all in can 100% recommend to sleep there for a couple of nights and to enjoy nature.
The way from the street to the guesthouse is a bit tricky. Especially when it's raining it can be slippery with the scooter. But we never were in danger or something. Normal to good scooter drivers wont have any problems.

This is a really special place to stay. The road to the homestay is quite rough, and taking it, you notice you are getting far removed from others. At the end of the road, there is a truly special homestay. We stayed in the hut with the terrace. The view from the hut is beautiful, and you can truly admire it by chilling in the nets. The surroundings are silent except for the sounds of the animals and insects around you.
The people running the hostel are kind and hospitable. While during our stay, not all food options were available, the ones they had tasted great. Some of the products they use are homemade, and the others are sourced organically if possible. A true recommendation is the hot chocolate made with homemade cacao beans.
There is no Internet connection in the homestay, and you feel close to nature. This made it the best place we stayed for reading a book and unwinding!
This place will not be for everyone. There is no Internet connection, the bathroom facilities are very basic, and the road to the homestay is so rough that it is not easy to get to the other parts of the island. There are also several animals in the room, like some large geckos. For us, all of these things added to a truly memorable experience, but be warned if things like these can be a deal breaker for you.

A slice of heaven in the middle of the jungle. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay way off the beaten path of Siquijor, I cannot recommend this spot more. I stayed for four nights and wish I had done another four! It's a fantastic place to relax and be immersed in nature. The sounds from all of the animals and insects create a beautiful soundtrack for your stay. The owners were incredibly friendly and are always willing to help. The hammocks were great to lounge around in. And the on-site restaurant's food was the best I've had in the Philippines. I will absolutely spending some time here during your visit to Siquijor.

beautiful location, in the jungle, homely relaxed vibe and a great place to take a break from the smartphone and reconnect with nature. It’s a simple place so don’t expect to many mod cons. and be sure to use the guest resto, you will be taken care of and the food and drinks are great. We literally had firefly’s flying in the room as we slept, magical.
nothing, the pin on the map is wrong but take the track close by and take care driving in

Canjahawon Nipa Hut is a surreal place in the middle of the nature where you can fall asleep surrounded by fireflies and where you wake up with a bird orchestra. We loved our view while laying in the nets in front of our room. The owners are super friendly and I wish them all the best with their home stay.
Be aware of a bumpy road to get there. We rented a scooter from the ferry port to get to this place.

The place has the best view of PH. Overlooking rice fields and hectares of plantations. Simplicity meets modernization. Place have luscious greens. Staff are very friendly. Decors and designs are outstanding.
The place we stayed comes with private bathroom but no ceiling (outdoor type). During our stay, it was raining and became easily dirty.

they are very accommodating and the place is wonderful. There’s no signal but the place is perfect to relax and to meditate.
Actually, the place is not bad at all. Infact, it is perfect but unfortunately the road going there is very difficult and it’s too far from the city but overall the experience was perfect.

Lovely place to disconnect to technonology and the busyness of the town. The sound of the birds, wind gushing and the fireflies above your bed - perfect!

It was very refreshing and a good place to relax if you really want to get away from the city. Food is delicious, although a bit pricey. Fireflies visit at night. There are no fans but it can get chilly at night so make sure to open the windows and balcony during the day for ventilation. All in all, our experience was very memorable and worth it! The nearby Cantabon Cave has the nicest tour guides too!
The road to Canjahawon is very challenging. Most of the road cliffside have no railings. There are no street lights in most of the way. Nearing the nipa huts would be a very narrow tricky rough road. It is rocky and could be slippery because of the pebbles. What makes it more difficult to traverse is that, those rough roads are on the steepest slopes.

It doesn’t have running water.
