Beautiful surroundings with impala and lots of bird life. A beautifully kept lodge and very comfortable.
The breakfast bar for coffee, tea, juice, milk could have been a bit more organised and all ready for the start of breakfast.

Idyllically located on the outside of Lusaka close to the airport and not far from the CBD down the great eastern Rd.
Maintaining the classic thatch roof and quaintness that is safari houses. Impala roam freely around the property making you forget that you are so near a busy capital city.
The food was exceptional, a master chef preparing several dishes including vegetarian and vegan. The staff friendly, polite and professional.
The road is a challenge and can put you off if you are not familiar with driving on dirt roads.
Also do not trust Google maps. It takes you down some interesting dead ends trying to get to the resort.

Staff was just super! Beautifull surroundings. Playground. Swimmingpool. Nice food. Electricity and wifi was always working. Nice campfire in the evening. Impala's walking over the campsite. Security is patroling all night. Just wonderfull!
If really have to point out something: little fridge in the lodge would have been nice. Shower was not all that. But anything you need help with the staff will fix for you.

Most people seem to only stay in Lusaka for one night and we saw people doing this at Pioneer Camp. We were there for 3 nights as we were meeting people at the Olympic Development Centre. This is a great location, and the rooms are fantastic - never seem a bath quite so big. If you are travelling up country, other guests are very willing to share their experience.
We were the only non-campers one night and the staff laid on a special Zambian meal for us - which was really nice.
When we arrived we had two lodges quite far apart - as one was for our teenage children, we asked that this be changed, and it was.
They ran out of Coke Zero during our stay - luckily I had bought some.
The pool is a bit small (and very cold - due to the time of year)

Nice chalets, ok food, great service from the taxi driver.
No mosquito net for one of the beds, strong smell of smoke in one of our chalets.

Lovely bungalows in beautiful surroundings just outside Lusaka. It was so calm and peaceful and the staff were all lovely and very helpful.

Large choice of menus but not served with colds drinks (cofee, tea)
The network was poor, the access to wifi was only in the lobby but at that time not working during our stay

Serene place, with beautiful gardens and birds. Feels like you are completely out of town yet you are not so far, perfect feeling. Staff is very friendly, food was perfect, I would say you get the value for your money. Also good that its fairly close to the airport.

Food was very expensive and not worth for the money paid

The staff did their best with their limited knowledge or training / skill
They were not expecting us, did not have keys to get into chalets someone had to come in vehicle ans was an hour or more away. It was now 6pm no water and definitely no hot water. Lots of locals using it as a party place. Noisy

I really appreciated the effort and time the staff put into making my stay incredible. Everyone was friendly and caring. It really gave me a glimpse into the heart of Zambia
7.0
The lovely grounds which were very well kept.
Meals all good. Staff excellent and helpful.
No hitches at all.
Not a lot. If I was to dig deep to find a grouse it would be the bumpy approach road from the tar of Lusaka.
Several power outages but they were the fault of the Supply company and not the Camp who had a back up generator..
